  1. So cool. A multi-directional horizontal shooter, with rescue-based missions. Love it! 🔥
  2. @Kirkland Wow this looks incredible! Thanks for putting this together!
  3. That looks like exactly what I'm looking for. Thanks!
  4. Pac-Land would be the signature "run & jump" scrolling platformer the 7800 always deserved. It pre-dates Super Mario Bros., and would have made perfect sense and looked great on the ProSystem. Whereas (the fantastic) Bentley Bear's Crystal Quest is more in the vein of Adventure Island/Wonderboy, Pac-Land was one of the biggest influences on the development of the original Super Mario Bros., according to creator Shigeru Miyamoto, and it's obvious to see why.
  5. https://techcrunch.com/2011/07/22/for-the-geek-who-has-everything-a-gold-plated-atari-2600/ I came across this and it got me thinking...has there ever been an Atari 2600/7800 game released (homebrew or otherwise) that is gold/platinum/metallic? Rikki & Vikki has the cool orange translucent casing and I've seen other colors, but was just curious if anything "metallic-like" had ever been produced. If not, does anyone have any idea if/how this might be possible to create? Thanks in advance!
  6. Thanks! Yeah I found this as well, I was just curious if anyone had actually made a static graphic chart for it. (Rather than the video). Fantastic graphic and gameplay update to an awesome game!! Thanks again for the ROM link! 🤘
  7. Thanks to @Defender_2600 on a different thread, I was made aware of a ROM for a "fixed" North American version of "Impossible Mission". I fired it up, and managed to find all 36 card pieces, and was wondering if anyone here at AA has ever posted a complete "key" showing all 36 card pieces and how they fit together. I found this for the c64 version, but it seems that they are different than the 7800 version: I did a search but didn't see anything. Apologies if I missed it!
  8. YES! A sequel would be incredible. It is THE signature platformer on the 7800!
  9. My Top 5 1. Rikki & Vikki 2. Bentley Bear’s Crystal Quest 3. Impossible Mission (PAL edition) 4. E.X.O. 5. A.R.T.I. Next 20 (Top 25 Overall): HONORABLE MENTIONS: Attack of the PETSCII Robots, 1942, Commando, Ballblazer, Alien Brigade, Popeye, Joust, Xevious, Robotron 2084, Ninja Golf, Centipede, Donkey Kong PK, One-on-One Basketball, Pac-Man Collection, Ikari Warriors, Food Fight, Plutos, Asteroids, Midnight Mutants, Mario Bros.
  10. Great game that was well ahead of its time. Paved the foundation for many future golf games that followed and embellished upon the pioneering efforts of M18G.
  11. @Atariboy2600 Box art looks spectacular! Looking forward to purchasing another incredible 7800 title from @Muddyfunster and the MuddyVision team! 🤘
  12. If Dark Chambers had MUSIC, it would have helped a ton. I often play it with the intro tune on a loop. I also mocked up a cover that would have fit the game's main character more. I always envisioned him as a young green wizard, casting fireball projectiles.
  13. Played Demo 2c through to the end on BupSystem without any crashes or glitches. Looks/sounds/plays fantastic. 🤘
  14. Very cool! Looking forward to checking this out. Thanks for posting!
  15. Will the sale be extended for a few days? (Just want to make sure if I order past 7.23.23, it will still be valid, as the store seems to still be accepting orders today). Thank you!
  16. If the choice is between the two, and I can only purchase one - which one would you all recommend that I buy? Thanks in advance! 🙏
  17. Just ordered Popeye! Finally! Long overdue purchase. 😊
  18. Fantastic review Vinnie! Cool seeing all the content, great synopsis of gameplay/sound/visuals (and of course over the top entertaining as always) 🤘 🤩 And congrats to Lewis, Bobby, and the whole EXO team on the rare rating achievement! Well deserved! 👏🏆
  19. I couldn't agree more! Miyamoto has cited Pac-Land as having a direct influence on Super Mario Bros., as it was a predecessor platformer and one of the very first of its kind. A version on the 7800 would have made perfect sense.
  20. Ha! I do have the game, and I had tried a few times, but realized that I was way out of practice! Alas, I have yet to scale that mountain... One day, Professor Atombender! 😜
  21. I was all of about 10 or 11 years old and I was absolutely determined to beat this game. I got very very close, but could never quite do it (obviously!) It wasn't until MUCH later that I found out about the bug haha. But I still hold fond memories of the game itself, which is a fine port. If you aren't aware, the "beatable" version is available to purchase and play on real hardware.
  22. Love it! I really enjoy the character designs in all of your games. So good. I was able to make to the end of the demo. Great stuff! Challenging but not too frustrating. Kind of a trial and error game that encourages repeat tries. I dig it.
