  1. Now there's a Timex Sinclair 1000 for sale locally for $25. I need to stop looking at these ads.

      Seriously, dude. They're cute to look at ... but unless you're going to gut it and put a Pi in the case, remember that we all thought that lame around 1981. I paid $40 for mine on clearance in the early 1980s, which is like $80 in today's money, so it's not like it has gained value.

      What Flojomoja said. It was (just) barely adequate as a first cheap computer when I was 11. No color, no sound, 2K of memory, crummy membrane keyboard.... not even nostalgia is enough for me to want one again!
