  1. If professional baseball players can deal with some games having a designated hitter and some not, and every stadium being a different size with sometimes wildly different chances of hitting a homerun, why do professional Smash players have to turn off everything that makes the game interesting?

      It's weird. They've taken what was in essence a party game, exploited the systems to turn it into a maddeningly execution heavy fighter *and* as a community decided to turn off 75% of the features that make it interesting.

      I'll never be a pro fighting game player because I'm 40 and my reflexes aren't what they need to be. I'm squarely in that frustrating spot of "too good for my friends to enjoy playing me, but not good enough to play with the really skilled people."
