Bye, VectorGamer.

Now there's a Timex Sinclair 1000 for sale locally for $25. I need to stop looking at these ads.

I spoke with the UCLA sociologist who has been sniffing around for early gamers. I shared this magazine with him, which gives a good idea of how deep a [crazy] person could go with the tech from those days.

But as for spending $25 on it? You're better off taking a friend out for burritos.

I keep waffling on buying a Powermac G4 for $40 locally. I think it'll boot OS9. If I stay indecisive for a few more days I'm sure it'll disappear and make the decision for me.

Yeah, let it go, and if you really want it, virtualize it.
If I seem down on collecting classic Macs, it's only because I've been in that particular monkey house too long myself. They're nicer to look at than to own.

It should work just as well in Windows or Linux, though.

I like to imagine a history where noted programmer and co-founder of Activision David Crane was actually Denny Crane.

Now that my 5200 works, I've lost all interest in it. Need to find a new broken console or computer to work on.
