  1. Just received my NT Mini today and all I can say is WOW! Was worth the wait. The only question I have is if anyone knows of a good controller with Turbo functions for the A & B buttons. I just wrongly assumed the Jailbreak firmware would have an option for such. The only options I know of are the NES Max & NES Advantage. Hoping there is a wireless controller or wired controller that has the functionality built-in. I have the two original SNES turbo controllers that I use on my Super NT that are wonderful.
  2. I tip my 🧢 hat to whoever took out the trash this morning. Thank you and Godspeed!!
  3. This is an attempt at humor, right RadikusRLZ? Theres no way you are being serious. Ive got 5 kiddos and whether it be the eldest (14) or youngest (4), they have the option in our house (from a PS4 Pro down to a Dreamcast all the way down to Pong Consoles, and many consoles in between. Theyd rather choose the 8bit or 16bit consoles and games even over their iPad/iPhones - why? - in their own explanation they will describe how advanced graphics arent as important to them as the overall experience. In fact my 10 year old son described it best when he said the other day about a particular Atari 2600 game it leaves more to the imagination than my PS4 games. I happen to agree, especially since I grew up in that era of gaming. Sure there are some great modern games (I love F13 by Gun Media) and Ive met about 5 folks through that game that have become close friends regardless of the fact that we are from different states. To say that (all, or a majority) of retro games are boring is either an attempt at humor or someone who hasnt honestly had the opportunity to experience some of the titles that defined success in that era. Please reaffirm my faith in humanity and tell us you were pulling the wool over our eyes. You got us! To quote former POTUS GWB, There's an old saying in Tennessee I know it's in Texas, probably in Tennessee that says, fool me once, shame on shame on you. Fool me you can't get fooled again." 😂 (edited: I do not understand why, but the apostrophes are disappearing from my posts.)
  4. Well, I had been waiting on eBay for months and the price only continues to grow exponentially. He knocked off $100, so at least I got the system for the amount of the auction I lost a couple weeks back.
  5. The $1350 one 🙁 - I might have to start a Go-Fund-Me to recoup some of this. Im gonna have to sell a few more of my retro systems to pay for this as I had only come up with $750 by selling the other 3 consoles. Lesson learned I guess, but trust me if things had of been different when these NT Minis were available (and Ive already described why I couldnt buy back then) then I would have snatched one up in a heartbeat. This is the first and will be the only time I ever pay such a ridiculous markup on a product.
  6. Well I bit the bullet and finally paid-up for the system. In the end Im just happy to finally know Ive got an NT Mini on the way.
  7. I have a very large 16bit library, but honestly I rarely play any of my 16bit consoles, because my favorites are all 8bit. However, I could not resist purchasing the Super NT at the $189 price - it was a no-brainer. Because I havent found a NT Mini yet, Ive been playing my Super NT and SNES & Super Famicom library more - people whove been over to the house and seen the system & games in action immediately want one.
  8. I sold 3 different consoles that I knew the NT Mini had the corestore for to raise $750 (at the time I figured would be easy to find the Mini for that price - little did I know). I understand the supply & demand principle as it has been in existence way before eBay was ever a thought. I just have yet to find other sources where folks are selling this system (used of course) like Retro found at a somewhat normal markup. If folks are willing to pay a $850 markup on a $500 product (which there is evidence of completed listings going for such a markup) then I doubt this particular seller is going to accept any best offer that is lower than the going rate on eBay. I imagine the price point would be significantly effected if Analogue made an announcement of a suitable replacement product for the NT Mini. Yes, the original is built like a tank, BUT the Super NT has shown that the system can have a great quality with such changes.
  9. Id go streaking (Will Ferrell style) if I was able to buy a NT Mini for $1000 or less.
  10. If you get it for $700 then I am truly the unluckiest fan of the NT Mini throughout history.
  11. Someone just posted an NT Mini for $1350. I am so desperate to have the system I am thinking of biting the bullet and paying this (highway robbery like) price. Please convince me that waiting on Kevtris and Co., to give me a similar option is the better choice - Im sweating hard trying to avoid spending this kind of money for a system that wasnt initially near this expensive. $1350 goodness, someone else out there has to have one for a better price than this. Goodness....
  12. Wow!! On one hand I’m so jealous, but on the other hand I’m so proud for you! I guess I’m just not looking in enough places, but honestly I don’t know where else to look. I’m the PA Announcer for the San Antonio Spurs and we just finished up the regular season and begin the Playoffs on the road at Golden State - so - I’ve got a few days free until the series shifts back here to SA...I’ll keep looking, but I’m starting to believe I’m just snakebitten when it comes to acquiring this system. I don’t know how many of these NT Mini’s Kevtris sold, but I wish the timing would have been different when they were readily available. Gotta count my blessings though - a healthy wife is worth missing out on a great system. Again, man congrats - that’s awesome that you found one at a reasonable price.
  13. Still looking for an NT Mini.... Ebay’s been quiet lately so if any of you would like to part with your NT Mini I’d love to make you an offer. I sold a few parts of my collection to raise the funds to purchase a NT Mini at the exorbitant $$$$ eBay going rate, but haven’t seen any listed in several days. Love my Super NT, but I have 8 bit fever and the only cure is a NT Mini. On another note - what is better: my Super NT with a Super Game Boy adapter and carts, or the NT Mini with the GB/GBC Core and dumped roms from my carts? I’ve read some info on another forum that’s gotten me curious... Thank you Kevtris for making retro gaming even more enjoyable than it already was. I’ve got five kiddos (ages 4 to 14) who think the retro games are much more enjoyable than their IPad/iPhone or PS4 - that’s a testament to you as well.
  14. Nice of you to say. Thanks man - I hate to ever over-pay for something, but in this case it is such a great system and is able to replicate a few systems I own that are no longer dependable. If only Analogue had a spare few machines lol - nice wish.
  15. Hey! Thanks for the kind words. Yes, I missed out on an auction last night - my bid was $1250 but unfortunately the winner got it at $1275. I cannot believe I would have paid that much for this system but I have continued to save up money for the last few months and sold off some other systems that I intended on replacing this one with. I don’t have the same love for the AVS and have actually had the opportunity of trying one for a few days - there is no true comparison between the two systems IMO, but to each his own.
  16. So, long story short my wife was battling cancer during the time the NT Mini was available so I missed out on being able to own one. Thankfully she has been in remission now for a while and things are much better. Ive been trying to purchase a NT Mini on eBay with no success. So, after reading 200 or so pages lm feeling less than confident that our Super NT is ever going to have the core store capability of the NT Mini. The main reason the NT Mini has been such a desired item for me is that particular aspect of its ability. I guess all I can do is continue to hope an NT Mini comes available some way some how until another option comes available.
