  1. What game are you talking about?
  2. It's worth it just for GoldenEye. And I'm against all things 3D, so it must be pretty good.
  3. Twin Galaxies Cyber Athlete Professional League WEGO (you have to be over 13 for this one)
  4. Here's what I found: A cheat code and a review. This page says it was published by "The 3DO company" but it's got a Playstation heading. Not sure what that means. Released in 1995,which, if I'm not mistaken, and I probably am, was the year the PS came out. According to that tiny review, and edited for grammar, "Killing Time was developed for the 3DO in [the] first place, [and] later it was converted to the PC."
  5. After searching for Sonic posters on a search engine, I found these. I imagine you could find posters of any decently popular character/game you wanted.
  6. Check out the item I found on Ebay. Link has never looked better: That's right, it's a blanket. Tell your friends.
  7. It was mentioned in the "Really Bad Genesis Games" thread. 958671[/snapback] ...which was freaking ridiculous. That game rules. Dude, even the name makes it sound awesome.
  8. After numerous failed search attempts to find any useful information whatsoever about this, I finally found a friggin' release date of Shining Force Neo. Apparently it was released two weeks ago: October 18, 2005 (released in Japan in March, 2005, apparently). I read a couple reviews, and it sounded like Final Fantasy X: too many cutscenes. It's also an action RPG instead of turn based, which is quite a departure from the rest of the Shining Force series. I've only played II for Genesis, so I can't speak with any real authority, other than what the reviews say.
  9. Directions? Wimp. Seriously, that game is a lot funnier if you play with a friend. I remember playing with my brothers or friends in college, and by the end of the game, we'd all be sweaty from the intensity (if you know what I mean). And then at halftime there's stats to tell you how many people you axed/knifed/killed/noosed, as well as a category for Elvis Sightings (the first time I saw that, I thought the game messed up). If killing people in humorous ways and having some random arbitrary stat like Elvis Sightings isn't funny for a video game, then I don't know what is. And Madden is much more complicated, since there's like a quarterback and actual positions and stuff. In Footbrawl, all I ever did was run around, picking up weapons and trying to stick a mace in someone's back. That game rules.
  10. I've known a lot of people who have complained about their PS2 not working. I've never really heard this from a reliable source, but I've heard that excessive use of the DVD playing function makes the PS2 go bad. I don't know how truthful it is, but everyone I knew who had a bad PS2 watched DVD's on them all the time.
  11. Some guy just beat it in 40-something minutes. You can download the video here.

  13. Yep, most noticably in the SMB2 videos, when they press up+down at the same time to shoot up the ladders incredibly fast. They also exploit it in The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link so that Link moves faster. There is a bunch of other ones that exploit it, but I don't recall exactly which ones. They actually had to recode the emulators (FCEU, Famtasia, and SNES9x) so that they would accept input like that. A bunch of smart people, over there.
  14. Keep in mind the runs from that site are done using savestates and slow-down. They can play frame by frame and input (indirectly even) one button press per frame. There are a couple real time speedruns of Castlevania here.
  15. I might have linked this before, but if you liked the Metroid music (and who didn't?), check out metroidmetal.com.
  16. Won what? They didn't force Nintendo or Microsoft out of the business; they're all still competing. Nobody's won anything.
  17. What?! You LIKE that tune when Mac dons his pink suit and goes running? One of the most annoying sounds ever, in my opinion. But to each his own. If you don't believe me, check this out.
  18. If it could, which it can't, these people would have found a way. You can read through most of the failed attempts here.
  19. I played Contra. There was no bulge, and it was 8-bit, but damn if they didn't make me wonder why I wasn't a homosexual. Lego Star Wars (or something like that) for PS lets you play a little puzzle while the abnormally long loading times take place. As long as they are, it's impossible to actually finish a puzzle before you start playing again. And after doing it twice, you never want to play those puzzles again.
  20. Uh... sounds like you already taught him some tricks.
  21. I think everything pales in comparison to the NES because of the giant library the NES had. Sega got pushed out of the way like a small child when the industry franchises stole their way into our hearts (a la Zelda, Metroid and ugly Italian plumbers).
  22. I've never played Majora's Mask, but someone recently blazed through it 100% in like 7 hours. There was a lot of discussion about it, and apparently no one really likes the game, but they found it interesting because of the creativity of the route. I'd suggest checking it out if you have a fast internet connection, or you like the game, or you're a huge nerd like me (although I haven't watched it). Majora's Mask- 6:55 Here's the link to the discussion.
  23. According to Zelda Master TSA, who got an interview with Eiji Aonouma, Twilight Princess will not be talked about until further notice (i.e. probably an interview with Nintendo Power, after which TSA will be able to publish his full interview at his new Zelda-nerd website, as evidenced by this forum post).
  24. You should get Mega Man. Especially when his mouth is haning open while he's jumping. Nothing says retro-gaming like an ambiguously gay blue robot. And I think Mega Man looks tight.
  25. I went here to look at his records, because at his SNES page he claims he has the Super Metroid WR in 49 minutes. It's not listed anywhere at Twin Galaxies. In fact, there's only one entry for Super Metroid and it's by some other guy in 42 minutes. And that's all moot anyway since there's video proof of a 38 minute single-segment completion of Super Metroid at SDA. Or am I totally missing something here? Anyway, that 85-hour marathon sounds insane. That's pretty high.
