A lot of those already listed plus you gotta have M.U.L.E. on there, it's what the Atari 800 was all about!

Pitfall II: Lost Caverns (2600, 5200 & C64)

P.S. For any who may be interested, earlier tonight, I updated the Comprehensive Plug-and-Play Listing thread, with the most recent version of the pnpgames.txt attachment, as well as explanation on the new date columns in the file.Under Techno Source you should also add these two that were just released late last year (2006)
Intellivision 10 2nd Edition
Activision
Are you sure you're looking at the right file? Those two are already in there. Always look at the file with the most recent datestamp (which is also always the largest file), in this case, 20070105. I leave the previous attached files there for historical purposes only.

Got it, thanks!

[*]The Atari 800 computer series continues to be recognized today for its historic importance and nostalgic significance. The Atari 800 computer recently ranked 14th in PC World's list of the Top 25 Personal Computers of All Time; its chief rival, the Commodore 64 (which has already been used by Mammoth Games as a successful dedicated game platform), was not even mentioned on this list. With all due respect to Atari, Commodore 64 really should have been included somewhere among their Top 25, if not at #1, so many people left comments on there about how stupid it was that PC World had such an oversight in excluding The Guinness Book Of World Records Holder for Most Computers Sold, my big three would be a tie between C-64, Amiga 500 and the 800!

Curt Vendel was part of the first Flashback team as he had a contract to do 3 systems!
Yes, I know. I'm just saying that Atari forced him to rush the first one, which is why it wasn't appreciated.
Indeed, although I still do enjoy it!

Only 80 games? They'd better include Fractalus, Ballblazer, and Dreadnaught Factor then!

Well, going by their pattern, its doubled everytime, Atari 10-in-1 Joystick, Atari Flashback (20) and the Atari Flashback 2 (40)!

Gnarly dude!

Must have M.U.L.E. on a 5200/800 chip based Atari Flashback 3, just think about how many extra sales you could get from fans of this game alone who are still out there today, including me, even though I'd still buy one if it somehow misses the cut!

Yes, I want Curt's FB3 based on the Atari 8-bits, just make sure that Electronic Arts licenses M.U.L.E. to be on there!

and the puzzling lack of the high score reset that's in all the other score-saving TV Games. I'm also curious if there is anything different from the Canadian one I have (maybe this one does have high score reset?).onmode-ky
Well, for some stupid reason their Star Wars one didn't have an "Erase High Scores" option either!

My joysticks sound dry and not as responsive :!: Would sewing machine oil or something else be safe enough to lubricate these with no damage
Thanks in advance,

Is it me, or has anyone noticed on some older A/V capable televisions some games seem to roll badly on the FB2? The first game I've noticed that does this is "Arcade Pong". Plus many of the games when selected scroll up in general and at times don't center properly (I have to turn off my old JCPenney television, which I use for older games, to re-center them, save for Pong). Newer televisions work fine, though. Lunar Landar only displays in B&W regardless of what mode the switch is, Aquaventure doesn't finish scrolling up completely, same for Fatal Run. Is this just a freak ocurrence?
I'm having this exact same problem on Arcade Pong while the other new games seem to work fine aside from their already documented unstableness, slight screen rolls or bugs and my TV is a Sony 13" made in July 1994 that has an A/V jack with only two prongs (1 audio & 1 video).

The FB 2.5 could make it this year, but if nothing moves forward by July 7th the window of opportunity for this year is closed. I pulled together a group of investors, we even directly offered to Bonnell to finance the entire product, but no response from Atari or Bonnell whatsoever, so its now out of my hands guys, I have gone above and beyond to get another Atari product out for everyone.Curt
Well, what happened, did they accept your generous offer?
If not, then these idiots are more foolish than anyone gave them credit for and let their egos get in the way of a sound business transaction, thus deserve to go bankrupt!

Thanks for the updates, Curt! Maybe I'll do a mod on one of these.
As others have said, regardless of what happens next, it's great that you were out there to make our interests known. From the news I've seen elsewhere, it sounds as if Atari is in too much financial trouble to take a big manufacturing risk right now, so I will set my expectations appropriately.
Curt Vendel is Atari Fan #1!
Curt and his investors have offered to finance the entire project!

Thanks Curt, sorry about my misquote, so again, just to confirm, your commissioned improved versions of Lunar Lander, Caverns Of Mars and Yars Return are all on these "60,000 Rev Cs" right? No

If you'd like a version of Caverns of Mars the way it should have been done then check out Conquest of Mars.
Thanks Dennis.
What about Yars Return and Lunar Lander?
Rick
-
Rick,
Actually that wasn't anything to do with the chip it had to do with better timing in the games themselves, Dennis Debro and John (Champ Games) were commissioned by me after the release of Fb2 to do improved versions of Lunar Lander, Caverns of Mars, Yars' Return
Curt

Just wanted to clear a few things up for everyone so they understand -
We had developed and put into the final runs of chips last year the Rev C chips.
Atari requested the final 60K pieces of the original 860,000 piece run done in 2005.
These are the final deliverables of the 2005 order.
There is nothing in packaging to externally show any difference.
All I can offer to everyone is the very small PCB's inside (I'll provide a phot later tonight) on these last 60K pieces has the Rev C in it.
We addressed the list of issues such as Cosmic Ark, Galaxians and some of the other Hmoves issues and several of the Activision games not being compatible due to the memory scheme.
This is not a new issue or a Rev 2.5 or a Rev 3, these are just the final FB2's.
Curt
Thanks again Curt, one last question! Is this the same rev C where you along with your other programmers fixed flicker in games like Yars Return, Caverns Of Mars, Lunar Lander et al and also made Adventure 2's colors brighter?
Rick
-
Thanks Curt, I really want a rev C, however, our North Western Indiana Wal-Marts have plenty of stock, but are 30-50 miles away from me plus add in high gas prices on my tight budget! How do we spot these without having to buy them, then open one up and take it back if it's not

Keep up the good work guys... Atari is listening it seems, I will be going in for a meeting shortly and if allowed, I will post an update on the FB3 status...Curt
Online petitions may make you feel good, give you that warm fuzzy feeling like your opinion matters and your needs are cared about. But the truth is its pure economics. No entity is going to sink money into a product that wont sell. And if everyone on AtariAge bought five FB3's it still wouldn't be enough for Infogrames to care, let alone afford.Bingo, stop whining to Atari (they don't care) and look for new avenues.
Definately put me down for one!

I don't think the stick is a 4-way? Which would have been a better choice. I need to recompare that with the first pacman stick. Why didnt they just add ms. pacman and jr. pacman? It sure feels like a 4-way stick to me!

They still don't have this by me (what else is new).Toys R Us on US 30 in the Hobart/Merrillville area had four until I bought one on May 5th, so check there, hope that helps!
Good luck,

The Jakks Atari Paddle already covered that territory fairly well. The emulation is excellent, and the only game that's really missing is Kaboom (due to being an Activision title).True enough, but I find it interesting that Jakk's Pacific, who also had rights to 10 other Activision titles, apparently did not even try for Kaboom!, one of the most famous Atari Paddle games and if so, why would they give them such a hard time?
