1. Indeed, speaking of which, why didn't Mattel rerelease Auto Race? I had one and remember it as very popular back in the 1970-80s! Signed, Rick Vendl II
2. Where did ya read this at, can you post a link? Thanks in advance, Rick Vendl II
3. The Super Wal-Mart in Valparaiso, Indiana had about 4 left as of last Fri. (12/30)! Signed, Rick Vendl II
4. I use to own an Atari 7800 back around 1986 and also like the original Flashback for those 5 games as well as its mini console/controller look! Signed, Rick Vendl II
5. What kind of sound does this/Coleco Frogger have, is it like the arcade version or some other blipping-type noise? Signed, Rick Vendl II
6. I'll answer my own question, better than what Toys R Us has: Wal-Mart Price good from November 25-December 1, 2005 Special Buy $20 Ms. Pac-Man 2-Pack Plug 'n Play TV Games Includes 1 controller, 2 gamekeys, for a total of 10 games One Time Offer. NAMCO MS. PAC-MAN SUPER VALUE GAMEKEY MEGA PACK Controller features: MS. PAC-MAN POLE POSITION MAPPY GALAGA XEVIOUS Orange gamekey features: DIG DUG NEW RALLY-X Black gamekey features: PAC-MAN RALLY-X BOSTONIAN Bosconian has voice synthesis and Pac-Man is finally complete with arcade sound, however, I do wonder why they decided to include 2 Rally-X games over Galaxian! Signed, Rick Vendl II
7. Agreed, except for the original Atari Flashback, I'd put Namco Pac-Man under abominations in place of it, also Jakk's Activision, Sonic 1 & 2 and Street Fighter 2 would be under your second category! My favorites: Mammoth C64 DTV Atari Flashback 2 (2600) Jakk's Namco Ms. Pac-Man Super Gamekey Combo Atari Flashback (7800) Jakk's Atari Paddle Radica Space Invaders Signed, Rick Vendl II
8. by including the remaining 8 2600 games left from FB1 or 7 if ya count Super Breakout as Breakout... Air-Sea Battle Breakout Canyon Bomber Crystal Castles Gravitar Sky Diver Solaris Sprintmaster Signed, Rick Vendl II
9. But this one will have built in games making it plug & play 961423 Where did you read that at, can ya provide the link? I hope they make a C64 DTV-II featuring classic EA games! Signed, Rick Vendl II
10. Northwest Indiana, specifically Valparaiso, has them in Target and Super Wal-Mart. Signed, Rick Vendl II
11. So I was in Toys R Us yesterday and nothing really interested me until happening upon this item. It's not that bad for a giftcard purchase, they did improve Dig Dug to include flower markers for each level and more arcade like sound effects, maybe they will release another expansion key with an improved Pac-Man! Signed, Rick Vendl II
12. No that would have to goto the Commodore 64 DTV followed by Jakk's Namco Ms. Pac-Man and then Radica Space Invaders! 918769 Stick the Atari Flashback 2 in second place and I'd agree with you. 919047 Oh, absolutely, but I thought we were only talking about "games-on-a-stick", here are my new rankings then! 1. Commodore 64 DTV 2. Atari Flashback 2 (2600) 3. Jakk's Namco Ms. Pac-Man 4. Radica Space Invaders 5. Atari Flashback (7800) Signed, Rick Vendl II
13. No that would have to goto the Commodore 64 DTV followed by Jakk's Namco Ms. Pac-Man and then Radica Space Invaders! Signed, Rick Vendl II
14. I sure hope that one of those Third Party Companies is Electronic Arts because M.U.L.E. has to be included on any Atari Flashback 3 8-bit Computer Version! Signed, Rick Vendl II
15. I tried pushing the controller up once, down nine times, etc. and it didn't seem to do anything special. Is there some required cadence or anything? 915447 I honestly think there must be units with missing hidden games... I do understand how it should be done, however when I do it nothing happens at all... I have tried over and over, different speeds, resetting the unit etc... I will just have to wait until the Quadra Run fixed voice versions hit the store.. 915557 I had the same problem until moving its TV TYPE switch from color to B/W, then once they're unlocked move it back so that you have color again! Signed, Rick Vendl II
16. But they need to at least get EA to license out M.U.L.E. because of what it did for the Atari 800, much like what Activision did for the Atari 2600 with titles like River Raid and Pitfall! Signed, Rick Vendl II
17. sure sounds like a hint to me 914239 If this isn't a hint, I'll eat a Missile Command arcade machine. The smaller, "cabaret" version, of course. There's not? Hmmmmm.... thats not what I heard 904884 I'm not really an 8-bit afficionado, but what I would like to see on such a unit would be: The Lucasfilm games (Rescue on Fractalus and Ballblazer) Llamasoft games (AMC, Gridrunner, Hover Bovver) The Dreadnaught Factor (by Activision, this game doesn't get enough attention IMHO) Star Raiders ... that's all I can think of that's reasonably unique to the platform. Anyone have any good review sites? I like the animated little dweebs on the left pane of this review page, any others with a good number of titles? 914281 Also from Activision, The Great American Cross Country Road Race and Little Computer People, although I'd really like to see classic Electronic Arts titles on an Atari Flashback 3 8-bit Computer Console with games like Adventure Construction Set Archon Archon II: Adept The Bard's Tale D-Bug M.U.L.E. Hard Hat Mack Heart Of Africa Legacy of the Ancients Lords Of Conquest Mail Order Monsters Murder on the Zinderneuf One-On-One Basketball Pinball Construction Set Racing Destruction Set Realm Of Impossibility The Seven Cities Of Gold Skate Or Die Skyfox Ultimate Wizard much like that C64 DTV had Epyx ones or have another one of those as some were Commodore specific releases! Signed, Rick Vendl II
18. Welcome to planet Earth. Now take a chill pill, Francis. 906340 Thanks, this reminds me of when they used that stamp in Brewster's Millions, I just saw it again for the first time on DVD Saturday night! Signed, Rick Vendl II
19. Got mine during my lunch hour at a Super Wal-Mart in Plymouth, Indiana, there were two left on the shelf after I bought one! Signed, Rick Vendl II
20. Me too. Agreed, except I'd add both of Atari's Flashbacks when 2 comes out, then Jakk's Activision and Radica's Sega Genesis Volume 1. I'd add Sega Genesis Volume 2, then place Jakk's Atari Joystick and Namco Pac-Man under your next category. Totally agree with you on this one! Signed, Rick Vendl II
21. It's dark blue and has an intermission between it and the third maze that shows Jr. Pac-Man, Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man. The Atari 7800 version and best classic console conversion has this as well! Signed, Rick Vendl II
22. I grew up in SoCal from 1980-90, around 1987, Atari bought out Federated, an electronics superstore that predates Circuit City and Best Buy, they sold brand new Atari 5200s, 2600s, 7800s, XE Game/Computers, STs along with their respective cartridges, disks, accessories et al dated 1987 or 88 on each box! Hope this helps, Rick Vendl II
23. Yeah, but doesn't making it that way bring up the same issues a cartridge port would, ie: consumers calling up Atari Customer Service asking why an older controller no longer works just like those old cartridges with dirty connectors issue? Just curious, Rick Vendl II
24. With any of the Realsports games or Bowling included, although I still cannot wait to get my hands on one! Just curious, Rick Vendl II
25. Quadrun?!?!?!?! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS I see a bunch of unknown games on there, like Atari climber, Asteroids Deluxe, Return to haunted house. Arcade asteroids is just the vector hack. Which is cool, don't get me wrong. But... Quadrun... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS 858424 To sum it up in one word, "awesome", I cannot wait to get my hands on one! Signed, Rick Vendl II
