Thank you my friend, Mr. Bill Loguidice!

Does the Dollar General one have more games like the Inty Flashback?
Yeah, "Antarctic Adventure" by Konami.

I think most people's really happy and gratefull toward ATgames making the very first CV Flashback
Everyone is agree to say the product looks great as well
The problem is not having the controllers compatible with the original system and some classic cult games are missing
They don't say the product is bad or is shit
People (fans) would have prefer to get games like Mouse Trap instead of let's say, homebrews
All the CV classic arcade games should have been there, well... Mostly , asides DK and DKjr of course
Here's what I think should have been included: (40 games)
- 2010 Graphic Adventure
- Antarctic Adventure
- Buck Rogers
- Bump n Jump
- Burgertime
- Carnival
- Centipede
- Cosmic Avenger
- Congo Bongo
- Defender
- Destructor
- Frenzy
- Galaxian
- Gorf
- Gyruss
- Jungle Hunt
- Blackjack / Poker
- Lady Bug
- Looping
- Mr Do!
- Mouse Trap
- Omega Race
- Popeye
- Pepper II
- Q* Bert
- Roc 'n Rope
- Tapper
- Turbo
- Up n Down
- Slither
- Space Fury
- Space Panic
- Spy Hunter
- Star Trek
- Star Wars
- Subroc
- Time Pilot
- Venture
- Victory
- Zaxxon
Like I said earlier. Kudos to ATgames for making a CV flashback
I applause their efforts
Although I'll still be getting only one Colecovision Flashback from Dollar General, these 32 are essentially what I would like to have seen on it overall...

Bump 'n' Jump (Data East)
Burgertime (Data East)

One of my kid's favorite movies as well as the updated version with Johnny Depp. You could have at least started the video at the point where the girl started to sing to save me a minute or so of my life!

Willa Wonka & the Chocolate Factory from 1971 is one of my all-time favorite films as well, but there's a difference between that spolied brat and us, we pay out our hard earned money while Daddy pays for whatever she wants no matter what the cost!

Interesting and fascinating that one of the confirmed games "Venture" is not on Coleco Holdings' trademark list!
-
Not gonna win any fans, but I gotta laugh at some of the comments here. People bitching and moaning about certain games not being on a $40 flashback console with 60 built-in games that looks like a small version of the original console and most likely will have perfect/near-perfect emulation. It's that entitled Burger King mentality so prevalent these days: "Have It YOUR way". Yet a lot of the same ppl willingly spend $60 on a mediocre homebrew game...

Not me, I'd never pay $60 on any homebrew game, mediocre or otherwise!
-
Oh come on man, Lady Bug and Mouse Trap have got to be two of the easiest games to get, as already pointed out, AtGames has Venture and Pepper II! Talk about greed, Nintendo I can see, but companies like Universal, Exidy, Midway and Sega make absolutely no money with their precious licenses when they just sit there not as a Colecovision Flashback game, so they're basically worthless!

Is Cosmic Avenger also wasted?
-
I heard Keith talking on an episode of Intellivisionaries about getting around the Tron license by changing the Recognizer to an X shape. Does that mean Deadly Discs will be included?
FWIW, a modified version of "Deadly Discs" to remove any Disney reference was included on the Intellivision 10 2nd Edition.

Disappointment aside and hoping for some better news after Bill's last update, at least the CV will be getting some commercial attention with this release by AtGames... that can only serve to benefit the retro scene even if it is only in a small way.
I understand completely that AtGames is under a time constraint as far as getting the CV Flashback out early enough to reap the benefits of the Holiday buying season, but just once I would love to see a company take their time with an item such as this and include all the "bells and whistles" within reason even if it means a higher retail price. You know, get it done right the first time so that additional revisions/updates/enhancements/etc. aren't needed and make it hard for the casual purchaser to get bored with the system and eventually place it in storage or sell it at a garage sale.
Still excited, but not looking forward to a CVF 2, CVF 3, etc. and the variations of these if sales of the CVF 1 warrant such further products... even with a varied lineup of games. This actually brings up a big point to ponder, there won't be too many more games to add to future versions due to all the licensing head-aches and you can't even count on Homebrews for this very reason as well.
Indeed, AtGames should get it done right their first time out, your reply here is exactly why I was wanting the Driving, Trackball and Super Action controller games like Sega's Turbo, Slither, Taito's Front Line, Baseball, Football and Boxing to be included as people remember Colecovision for all of that, not only Nintendo's first two Donkey Kong games!
So there you have what would be left worth releasing on a CVF 2, without seeing any CVF official game list yet, oh, then also Burgertime and Bump 'n' Jump both by Data East, maybe.
-
No Burgertime on either one and the included overlays will work with the included controllers and originals, and vice-versa.
Hey Bill, how about the Atari Flashback 5 game lineup, any info that can be leaked there?

-
I need your car, it is only half a tank of gas for me

I did play burgertime a lot on intellivision. I think I like the colecovision one better just because it had more levels to play.
So now the question is, will Data East's Burgertime by Coleco be on AtGames' Colecovision Flashback?
Despite my disappointment in no Turbo, I'll definitely be buying it along with their Intellivision Flashback and Atari Flashback 5 at Dollar General!

-
Yes, at least one (sometimes more) game from every company you mentioned will be represented.
As for the special controllers/modules I know of no plans for AtGames doing anything like that. I'm just not sure it's in their business model. With that said, I'll bring it up if they include me in their discussions for the 2015 lineup.
Bill,
I beg you, please bring up Sega's Turbo on the Colecovision for their 2nd version or a driving controller side project, as it is by far the most playable and superior version of this game, even over its arcade coinop counterpart!

-
I'm betting Destructor.
I would not mind this one, but if Turbo isn't on there, then that is an epic fail, mistake and another missed opportunity in their case, a huge oversight for both AtGames and Sega!
-
and one hack of a game to work with the regular controller.
Please tell me that they changed their mind about Turbo, it would be a major waste of the Sega license with AtGames because after Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong, Jr., Turbo, an excellent arcade port that's spot on, was another big selling point for Colecovision back in 1982!
-
There are two education-/kiddie-like cartridges on there, but not those two.
I'll almost guarantee Cabbage Patch Kids is one as Coleco has always owned that particular property!
-
I plan to buy 1 of each, TOTAL...
Colecovision Flashback
Intellivision Flashback
Atari Flashback 5

-
That thing could do with some improvement for 2014. Have you touched a coleco driving controller recently? They're very toylike.
Yeah, it's not that bad, but I see your point, AtGames could just make their Colecovision controller top twist or turn similar to an Atari paddle/driving controller, they're not thinking outside the box like JAKKS did for Pole Position!

-
I wonder IF their Atari Flashback 5 will include Turbo for the 2600, since AtGames already had an unreleased prototype in Tempest...
Another great idea that AtGames could do with the Colecovision Flashback would be to have a driving controller and Turbo exclusive for Sam's Club, kind of like they did at first with their Atari Flashback 4 Deluxe which included paddles!

-
My guess is they will release them on the plug n play system under the names "Adventure" and "Minotaur" like they did on Intellivision Lives.
Techno Source also got around this particular license by using "Crown of Kings" for their Intellivision 10 2nd Edition, so there is definitely hope that it will show up as an Intellivision Flashback built-in game!

-
Take that with a grain of salt. The packaging shown is not the final (and in fact the ColecoVision one is the most far off from what the final will be; I've seen a very different package not too long ago) and they're just supposed to be generic images to fill the background. Take a look at the Intellivision Flashback box for an idea of what I mean.

It would be really cool if Gauntlet was 4 player ( 2 on wireless controller and 2 on plugged in) .
Yes indeed, i hope they have the arcade version of Warlords, Paper Boy, Marble Madness & Gauntlet 2
4 player Gauntlet would be cool ( 2 player wireless and 2 players plugged in)
That would be sweet as Paperboy is among my favorite games of all-time!

-
No games that use special controllers. While in theory those controllers would plug into and work with the Flashback, only the original controllers are being recreated, so they can't really include them. It would be nice if they were hidden games/Easter Eggs, but it's not going to happen.
I suggested the controller hacked versions, but I don't believe they're being included. As I stated in my latest book, Vintage Game Consoles, despite it being a love it or hate it game, Destructor is one of my favorite games on the ColecoVision (I'm obviously in the love it camp).
Well, as of right now, there are 3 racecar pics in the Colecovision Flashback box's background on its front, it could be for Pitstop, just saying...
-
OK, I have a small bit of news, which I guess I'll have to repeat on various threads here. First off, the final game mixes are not finalized yet. Second, I'm not allowed to reveal any of the titles, but both the Intellivision and ColecoVision Flashbacks will have some surprises on them in the mix of games. So, while the lists can't be made publicly available yet, it has gotten a bit more interesting. I should have units shortly before their retail availability and will make sure I get my reviews up as soon as possible. I'll obviously look at it from several angles, including how everything works with original hardware and vice-versa.
It would be awesome if AtGames could somehow include Turbo (Sega) and Slither by GDI!

-
Well, the Flashback box shows the box images of Venture, Pepper II, Zaxxon, Space Panic and Jumpman Junior, so that's the beginning of a clue. The overlays pictured on the box indicate that Ken Uston Blackjack/Poker, Dam Busters, Fortune Builder and War Room will be included.
At the very least, I expect we'll get Carnival, Congo Bongo, Cosmic Avenger, Gorf, Space Fury, Buck Rogers, Bump 'n Jump, Burgertime, Cabbage Patch Kids, Evolution, Mr Do!, The Heist, Gateway to Apshai, Miner 2049er, Mouse Trap, Omega Race, Roc'n Rope, Tapper, Sewer Sam, Spy Hunter, Time Pilot and Up 'n Down. Perhaps the Spectravideo, Sunrise, Xonox and Atarisoft titles too. I do hope at least some of the Parker Bros games make it in there...

Yeah, between Disney and JJ Abrams, I weep for the future of Star Wars, I'm so happy that 20th Century Fox outright owns A New Hope, a thorn on Disney's side to be sure, like Sony with The Muppets Take Manhattan and Paramount with Indiana Jones (see Secret of the Incas) then Disneyland tickets now cost $100, plus $20 parking, ultra expensive food and water/drinks, it's all greed, Walt is rolling over in his grave!
