EVH1984

Hello all. I'm very new to this so please be gentle lol. So I have arcade cabinet that was built running a Pandora 999 in 1 pcb board. I recently saw,a 1299 in 1 board. Does it vary from the 999 board as far as connections? What I'm getting at is, is it possible to switch boards out and how difficult is it? I'm a newbie for sure and would like the expanded amount of games. Also,since it is running the Pandora should it be able,to run any jamma board?
