1. Thanks for looking!

Couple very popular items for sale on my site are the reproduction cartridges of OSS programming languages (Action!, Mac/65, BASIC XL/XE). But I get tons of requests for the manuals. I have found the Mac/65 manuals which was typed in as HTML, but have had no luck with the others. Does anybody have these available to loan me (or scan them and email me the images) so I can turn them into a document for others? If you mail them to me, I will take good care of them and scan them in quickly. Also looking for third party books on the same topics. Please PM if you have any.

    Thanks,

    Corey

  2. Don't think it can be done at least on one cartridge.  I could be wrong, but I think it uses different loading scheme.  What would be more possible, but Atari would be all over somebody's ass, is a FB2 cartridge.

Is this gonna happen cause I'm signing up ASAP. Hell, I can even pre-order at least 2 of them if need be.

    New 7800 Carts = Me Happy :)

There are a bunch of 7800 games under development like Frogger. Check the 7800 forum for what is coming out.

  3. A 7800 idea, can some one take the list of games from the Atari Flashback with 2600 real BIN and 7800 a78 roms to be on a real 7800 cart with a select screen? Cause I think it can be done.

Presale is over. I have cleared 10 pre-orders and just taking regular price orders now. I was actually losing a small % on each order, but increased my awareness, so felt it was worth it. Thanks for the plug!

Dude, I think you will get a lot of that once it is released. I am one of the lucky ones who actually got to play with it.

  7. In a surprise, Outlaw was a hit.  Drew a crowd towards the end of the show.

That's because it's the Atari 2600 equivalent to Grand Theft Auto. :ponder: :P

True, I guess it is true what they say, graphics are less important if it has good game play.

A lot of people tried out Adventure II and the new games/homebrews. It was a fun time and I got a few extra orders out of it. Now the sad part is I have to send it back and wait for them to ship :(

  8. Millipede on the FB2 seemed to be a PAL proto version (the player controlled a shaped sprite which whose vertical motion was 'stepwise', instead of controlling a smoothly-moving 'ball'.

I contacted Curt, he did mention that was one of the bugs that was missed. The final retail should have everything fixed with the problems we saw. Dark games, and Millipede.

Pictures of the show coming soon. Have to resize.

  9. Yup, sorry. Only have it for the weekend, otherwise I would plug it into my graphics card at work and snag some video. Had to get ready for the show so been busy.

Have had over 400 views of the forums review so far. Somebody posted in somethingawful.com forums and the gaming age forums also. So my site has been quite busy.

  10. What's up with that game Atari Climber?! That looks just like Climber 5 with another title screen. Is that what it is?! It says copyright 2005 Atari.. did they buy it from Dennis or did Dennis take his idea from theirs or what?

What's Yar's Return like?! The screenshot on that website looks like the original game just reversed.

Caverns of Mars looks really interesting.. reminds me of Super Cobra but going up the screen instead.

    892086

Atari Climber is like Donkey Kong sort of but I think it is based on those DataAge games? Never played climber five.

Yar's Return is more in the middle and you have to go all around to try and remove the shield. Much more difficult.

Caverns is cool and yes a lot like Scramble/Super Cobra, just going down instead.

    Corey

Oh, sorry, no manual in the box.

  11. Call me crazy, but I think people here might be more interested in screenshots of the NEW games, rather than the ones we've all seen hundreds of times before.

    891825

Call me crazy, but if you read above, I was taking requests for what people wanted pictures of and in the other thread. I apologize that the review and pictures aren't to your liking, but it was quite late last night when I did all this. From what I can tell, most people have enjoyed it and I am willing to put in the extra effort to get what they want posted. Instead of being negative, please put up a request.

  12. Thanx for fixing it!

Some of the new games(like the "vector asteroids" on the top of the box) look like hacks that I've seen here.  However, I don't recall seeing Lunar Lander(bottom of the box) before.

    891764

I believe both asteroids and asteroids deluxe are hacks. I have Lunar Lander listed as New on my site. It was actually quite fun to play, slow to get the ship moving though.

  13. I have had a request in the other thread under Dedicated Systems for pics of the new games. Will be doing that tonight. Maybe I can post couple quick reviews. Didn't get a chance to play them all yet.

I like playing Pitfall! I think it might be a little easier than I remember. Always had a problem jumping over the scorpions and alligators. Must be the new joysticks? Also played Asteroids Arcade and Asteroids Deluxe. Liked Asteroids Deluxe a bit more as it felt more like the arcade version with the diamonds and white vector style graphics.

One game I found interesting and fun Frog Pond. Your a frog jumping on a log(?) and you press the button to stick out your tongue to catch flies (and looks like bats). I don't think it will have much replayibility for adults, but young kids would sure love it.

    Corey

  14. I apologize for those who can't see the pictures in the forums. I didn't know you have to be logged in to view them in the forum. I am currently working on the problem and will post in here when it is fixed.

    Corey

I will get close up pictures also this evening of the joystick.
