  1. Unfortunately I can't give any more info. Your issue sounds just like mine, but I'm not sure what else to do, sorry!
  2. Good luck! Hope it works out for you. Let us know what happens.
  3. I asked Brad at Best Electronics and I also asked over at Console5 for their advice and both said the same thing. I'm not savvy when it comes to comparing chips, but I believe the specs are the same. My Lynx will still turn on with the new chips, but I have the same issue as before the chips.
  4. I used M5M4464AP-10 DIP18. Unfortunately for me, this didn't fix the problem for me. I believe my issue is with either Mikey or Suzie. Not sure which, and I've given up since finding the chips is too difficult without getting a working PCB.
  5. One chip on the Lynx II is easier to take off than the other. One chip has pins under the cartridge slot, so I'm probably going to snip those with flush cutters.
  6. Thanks! I ordered a couple of 4464 chips from China today. I heard from Best Electronics that those are compatible. It came out to $9 US. I'll give it a shot. Thanks so much!
  7. Is there a way to check the RAM with a logic probe or voltmeter to see if they are the problem. I didn't feel either RAM chip get hot. I know they can still have issues, but if I can rule out that one or both are not working, that would be best.
  8. Was your issue similar to my issue? Thanks!
  9. Is the RAM the same in a Lynx I and Lynx II? I need for a Lynx II.
  10. Thanks! Just to make sure, that's a replacement for HY53C464LS-10?
  11. Ok, do you know what the equivalent chips would be? Thanks!
  12. I know that I need a new screen, but my issue is with the system not getting past the title. Would that be a RAM issue?
  13. So I replaced all the capacitors and I still cannot get past the intro screen. I have heard from a few people who repair things by me and Brad from Best Electronics that it is possibly the RAM. Can anyone confirm?
  14. I will definitely want/need to replace the LCD, but the main issue is getting past the title screen and no sound. I would be happy if I can replace the LCD and that will get things going, but I want to make sure that this is something that is repairable (not a chip) before I spend money on a screen.
