omf : Take care abould long flying wires and antenna effect that can produce noises.
-^Cro§Bow^- : Look the GND tracks width, compared to the wire section. Should be enough, but may be better to be a bit largest.

I did not hear anything via e-mail last year besides "maybe grounding problem"
And that is the problem. Here a part of my first answer to you on Jully 22th 2018:
The first thing to do is testing the ground continuity [...] Please, can you test with the multimeter if all those neighboring ground are connected together through the Bottom shiled?
Sorry if you was not able to detect it with the picture. We have said the same to everybody contacting us at this time, providing the informations we got after fixing for free two systems folowing the "CV Tech Manual" for properly reassembling the system. Sometime, a wire added for the mod was in "sandwich" between the ground and the bottom shield, avoid a good contact, or screws missing... Usually, peoples was able to fix their systems.

We can see many 80s games on the video. What about the copyrights of them ?

Hehe. It remember me the Nintendo e-reader for the Game Boy Advance using some sets of cards to load NES games on it.

Too expensive for me to send away for shipping both ways and labor costs for one game that works on one of my three systems, except the working one may drop dead at some point.
Please wait until next week, we will be able to check the received a modded system to know if something else is going wrong and how to process. Thank you.
-
Actually no I didn't know he had been talking with you guys about his system. I only receive notifications when someone replies directly within my videos and not when they reply to each other it would seem. Obviously if you do find something that might be correctable with a semi easy hardware fix etc...do let me know and thank you for looking into this.
For information, the message published 1 week ago was: "Thank you for your help, providing us your console."
Apart from that, are you playing to Risky Rick at less with your working system? (I don't see any video in this way)

As you know from your video comments, the french guy kindly sent us his moded system to be able to take a look.
We have received the ColecoVision some days ago and we will take a look next week.
About the fact that a guy having a stock system can't pass the first level, there are some possibilities:
- His system is defective
- It was moded before he bought it
...
By the way, we will provide an answer to the 3 peoples (including you) contacting us by mail to get a support.
Thank you for the board revision information.

You know, the topic is totally destroyed since 5 pages, so it is no more a problem.
But... Better to contact us so we can collect the informations to help us and not only doing statistics..... (yes, around 10 times we ask for that) -
Thank you for doing that from the forum posts. We can't confirm the information, as only two guys asked for a support about this issue.
I don't think they can attribute 50% incompatibility to a console maintenance problem that needs fixing, especially when it is not seen in any stock consoles.
While the "modded and incompatible" consoles are not in maintenance to be fixed, we can't have those conclusions.

I can create Diagnostic Rom to check if Risky Risk will work or not . ArcadeVision just have to provide me the necessary information, if they want.
Risky Rick work fine. Thank you. The required tool is a ColecoVision diagnostic cartridge testing anything into the system, not the game.
-
It is not to the Risky Rick developpers to provide a diagnostic ROM to check if the Coleco hardware properly operate.
You don't ask to Konami to provide a test CD to know if your PlayStation have lens issues before buying their games.
1- Risky Rick was designed from the begin to push the stock 80s ColecoVision at its best and you was informed that game may not run in other cases.
ArcadeVision have properly informed you for each steps before your receive the game and respected the delay. Here is the limit of our engamements.
2- Risky Rick was intensively tested during months and worked on 100% unmoded French, Spanish, Germal and US systems without any issue.
ArcadeVision have tested each cartridge before assembling the game box. You have this guarranty and free to contact us is something goes wrong.
3- Risky Rick was programmed with optimized code and VRAM timing adjustments. The game run into a sort of demo mode on not accurate systems or illegal copy devices.
ArcadeVision have considered to use this drawback as a feature. No specific code are implemented to limit the game usage to a demo and no DRM system was implemented.
By the way, ArcadeVision is working on a ROM version for peoples buying the game but wanting to run it fully without using the original cartridge.
For more information, please, contact us.

would it not have been better to have the complete / nearly complete version and for the demo modify it slightly so that when you exit the first level the game restarts or goes back to the title screen.
We was not able to do a proper demo for emulators/atarimax working up to a game over screen + name entry.
-
There is no interrest to limit the Standard Edition. We will offer it while peoples ask, because we dislike guys making money on our back by reselling...
We understand that some peoples love the ColecoVision but no more have this system. We will do our best to make everybody happy. Just took time.
-
Apparently this is the only game on Earth that doesn't work on emulators or AtariMax. Had I known, I wouldn't have purchased it. ArcadeVision didn't exactly go out of their way to let people know this unless they try to blame the veiled reference on their web page that it might not work on modded systems...which I never saw, by the way. To me they are engaging in very misleading sales practices...basically telling people this after the fact and then saying, "oh well, not our problem."
Many games on earth don't work on emulators and everdrive-like systems. By the way, we are selling a game cartridge for a real system and not a ROM for a piracy system.
From the begin, the website inform peoples about the issues on modded systems, expansions, ... And it was many times quoted on this topic too ; before you bought the game without reading.
So please, don't complain here... As you have not tried to contact us at any time to know if we should kindly do something for you.

Is the game available in loose or ROM format? I'd love to test the game on some of my standard and modified and new systems (but I don't normally collect homebrews).
I don't like that one bit then...I prefer playing on AtariMax and letting the original sit on the shelf in the box.
Sure, we understand and you are not alone. It is why we are working for that.
Please, send us an email to be informed when available for peoples buying the game box.
Thank you.
-
so it's drm... cause now the code have been change to not work on emulator or atarimax
You misinterpret what he said.
During the development, we have stoped to use emulators, next AtariMax, for using the final cartridge to not have to deal with extra devices causing operating problems with our game.
It is why we are currently working back on an emulator version of Risky Rick for peoples that don't own a ColecoVision. Next, with an AtariMax version if required by gamers. Now, please, stop to thinks that we are not properly doing thinks with all the time spent into the programming (years) and the testing (months).
We have done tests on enough ColecoVision to guarranty that game is properly working on any stock ColecoVision from differents countries like USA.
Did anyone manage to capture what he said before he edited it? I've been told it said something that needs to be made public...thanks!
My god... What do you expect from a french guy, except fixing english typo to be well understood by peoples wanting to ear the invert?
We are seriously starting to thing that you are only here to troll the topic and enroll peoples with you against our game... The provided fix already works for a guy contacting us.
Please, go to repair your system!

There are no "ADAM familly computer system" logo on this game box, instructions or cartridge.
So, like others games released in the 80s for ColecoVision, we can't garanty that it will be compatible. (but great if it work)

On Jully 27th 2018, you sent us this answer: "No problem. Risky rick still works fine in the other ColecoVision. Something of a mystery though."
