  1. Some peoples reported to have Risky Rick working on ADAM, others don't. the same for SGM or F18a mod installed. We haven't do any compatibility test on Dina System or Spectravideo expansion module.
  2. Dear Risky Rick users, Please considerate to check if your modded ColecoVision is properly reassembled following the Section IV of the ColecoVision TECHNICAL REFERENCE MANUAL We remind you that we are not able to do any support if you don't contact us by email and you don't follow our instructions to fix the problem. Random issues on moded systems: - Risky Rick works using F18a, SGM or ADAM . - Risky Rick NOT works using F18a, SGM or ADAM. - Risky Rick allows to pass the "before last" screen or the "last" screen. - Risky Rick NOT allows to pass the "before last" screen or the "last" screen. Information: - Risky Rick ALWAYS run properly on a stock 60Hz Coleco or 50Hz CBS system or fixed system following the provided instructions. - Risky Rick NEVER run properly on emulators, FPGA based hardware and any devices that alterate the operation of the ColecoVision system. No warranty apply to peoples miss-using or altering the game cartridge as the problem was detected on the system side and a solution was provided. That include unauthorised dump intended to run the game on a system that was not designed to support the game as explicitly described previously. If after opening a case and following our instructions, a problem persist, please contact us! Thank you. EDIT: typo
  3. OK. Thank you for your time so. (we will do a copy/paste into our bug tracker) OK. We think that is in all cases related to a bad event timing. Good that you was able to work around with your system. In this case, sorry to look stupid from you, but it is the official Coleco process to be sure that all contacts and signals are properly restored. We don't ask if you (or others) know what you do, but if you do what it is intended, as random problem should be caused by a ground/shield discontinuity. I.E. the VDP clock is generated on ColecoVision by using a RLC circuit from the CPU clock... And a bad assembling could affect this. (the best was to do like on MSX and use a main clock for the VDP and next it's phy pin for a perfect CPU timing) EDIT: ColecoVision TECHNICAL REFERENCE MANUAL - (pdf's) w/ 7zip compression
  4. Hello -^Cro§Bow^-, Please, understand that is again quite frustrating to ask you things by email to provide a support, and next having to read what you have understood on a forum for trying to get a tracking. 1- In your video you explain that you was sometime not able to pass the "before last screen", after using the dynamite to blast the ennemies. This event issue was detected 2 years ago on the "alpha" version and never more encountered since the VRAM timing was adjusted to fix some glitchs. 2- We have asked if you follow the technical instructions section IV (attached to the mail) for disasembly / assembly the ColecoVision? So, please read this PDF and let we know if you do that. That should be a clue to know if all peoples doing different mods gave a same problem. But sure, next, if you want to take pictures of your mainboards (both sides) you are welcome to provide them... By email! Thank you.
  5. Please, do you know where to find the list of all the ColecoVision mainboard revisions? If peoples own unmodified stock ColecoVision, never opened, no problem with the power supply and got the issues with Risky Rick, we apologise. We have done many tests and will continue. But we will understand that you don't got what you expect and will be kind to refund the game in this case only. Many peoples are happy with the games, some aready done review of sent high scores for the contest. So, it is not limited to the first level as you can see. We love the ColecoVision and don't want to have a bad feeling because the developpers have tried to push the system at it best for the players. Please contact ArcadeVision from arcadevision.net for more informations. Kind regards, ArcadeVision.
  6. The previous post was not for you, but to remember to others peoples to contact us to have a support.
  7. We have already shipped all the games and close to be sold out for the second run. So, peoples wanting to know if the system is compatible just have to use the game cartridge. We apologize that some peoples can't play properly on modded systems. As said, this topic is not for support and if nobody contact us by mail, we can't do anything.
  8. Sure, I understand. I have just send an email to our electronic guy to take a look at this mod: https://console5.com/wiki/Colecovision_5V_RAM_Modification#Step_3:_Connect_.2B5v_to_L3_via You said that 3 peoples have the same issue on this forum. Please, contact us by email to provide more informations about your systems. It is more easy for us to provide a good support. Thank you.
  9. No, I don't said that your +5 RAM upgrade on your CV is not properly installed, but that your ColecoVision should have an other problem. I understand that is the first time that your console have a problem with a game, but accept that is the first time that a game look like this too. The code timing is very very optimized. To be confidant, the developpers use complex systems to manage real time unpacking data and the RAM / VRAM for other usage than the standard done on existing games. I'm going to ask to all peoples receiving their game is they use a +5V mod and will let you know. But if it is common, I think that we was able to detect that supposed issue. I'm sure that our electronic guy will like to take a look to your system if he was not so far from you to help to fix it.
  10. It is wrote on the website. But, that don't means that your modded ColecoVision will not work. It is just a warning to inform you. Please, let we know! (that work fine for most of the players) We have done many hardware tests compatibility during close to 6 months and found some incompatibility with not accurate expansions. Their code are really basic and not optimised to push the ColecoVision into its best. (or require a SGM) No, its can't be changed as it is not a bug but a problem with systems that are no more 100% ColecoVision compatible. No, the game is perfectly working and the second run will be exactly ike the first. No differences at all. The demo fail at the same place instead of going to the game over screen because the same event timing problem as explain by email. Most peoples got the demo with the emulator fix and reach this screen. If your console is not properly modded, it is not our fault. If your controller not work it is not our fault too... Both require to be revised. The developers don't made a version with no control to anoy you.
  11. Your stock ColecoVision run perfectly the game. Your "fixed" ColecoVision have problems. Please, enjoy the game on your working system and ask to repair the other. For peoples buying the game but playing on emulators, we will do our best to offer a ROM file compatible with them.
  12. Thank you for your feedbacks. We will answer by email for a better tracking.
  13. About the high-score contest, you should post your hall of fame pictures here if you prefert, as we are notified. So, everybody can see the progress of others. (best wih a picture of the level reached when 1 life left) Good luck!

  16. Thank you for your feedback rodge2001. Some testers reported the game working when the SGM inserted, but as said, ArcadeVision can't guarrantee operation on systems with expansion modules. Risky Rick was optimised to work on a stock ColecoVision system. For more information or feedbacks, please contact us to be sure to receive an answer. Have fun with our game, ArcadeVision.

  25. May be... Back in 80's, when independant developpers made games with no time restriction before going to find an editor? In this configuration, games like Another World or Prince of Persia was born. Same hardware, same languages, custom tools.
