  1. Aside from the whole reality of the crappy system, I hate that stuff. It's like I don't believe it, but I can't stop reading it. It scares me, I always watch those caught on tape shows, too, with the voices. I get all parenoid and turn on all the lights... I think it's just the possibility of it that drives me nuts.
  2. Yeah, in Minnesota, they're mostly all older clubs that were bought out by Bally's and here there's always rumors that one club will close or that a new one will be built. Even when they do build a new one out here they won't do a pool or basketball court. I've only seen one new club and none close. Actually, I'm not even sure if they put a running track in that new one.
  3. They are probably doing alright, in my experience working for them they're just cheap as hell. They have pretty much all the equipment that you need, but it's poorly maintained, or at least older. All they really want is sales. They really don't even care if you go, they've got you on an 18 mo. contract anyway! They've got that commision schedule totally rigged, too! I was 3rd in the state of Minnesota for Bally's sales in my last month(out of about 50), and I didn't make shit so I quit! But, I did manage to cut myself a pretty good deal on a membership when I left...
  4. I used to sell memberships at bally's and they showed us a video in training about the company and how i t all basically started from the same thing but is totally separate now. However, I can't say whether or not Bally Total Fitness was originally a part of it or if that was later, but the name does come from the same arcade and casino stuff.
  5. Thanks for the tips, I tried the power again on both ends and still nothing. Guess the switch must be bad.
  6. Cool, I'll have to watch out for those games. Thanks for the info!
  7. Guess I was too slow anyway, maybe I should actually read everything before I post...
  8. CRAP! I live in a small town and or BK just closed a month ago and turned into an Arby's!
  9. I've never even played an intellivision, I just saw this one and thoght it looked cool. What are some of your favorite games? By the way, do you have to slide those plastic button guides into the controllers every time that you switch games?
  10. It just goes all snow, exactly if I were to turn it off. There is some interference(sparkles, a couple vertical lines), but its not bad. I wiggled the power cord, the rf, and the power switch, but found nothing. Actually, if I barely press the power switch down towards the off position it will go off, but then if I push back up it goes back on, whereas when it goes off by itself I have to switch it off and on again. Here's a pic of the interference.
  11. I have a friend's 2600(4-switch) and as I play any game it will randomly shut off(although the power is still on). I thought maybe the power switch was loose, so when it shut off I pushed the switch up a little, but it was all the way on and still no power. I just switch it off and on again and it works until the next time it happens. Anything to look for?
  12. I bought this last weekend for $20 at the local salvation army thrift and was wondering if anyone can provide info about the system. From what I've seen on the net it's like an Intellivision clone, right? Anyway, anything about it is helpful. Any good games you know of? [/img]
