It wasn't in any vault. It was in collectors hands for MANY years. They just sat on it and refused to let anyone have a copy until they found a way to make a profit from it. They acted like their stolen Atari ROMS was their intellectual property.

Has fire buttons on the side as well as a fire button on top of the joystick. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1

Vectrex game Clean Sweep with overlay and manual. Tested, works swell. $12.99 shipped CONUS Am I pricing it too high for AA? They sell for more on ebay last time I checked. What am I doing wrong? I provided pics of the actual cart and it comes with the manual and overlay. In years of looking since the early 90's, I've never seen a Vectrex game, system, manual, anything in the wild, ever. It doesn't seem high to me. They're rare as hens teeth around here. Have multicarts killed the demand for actual carts? I can't get rid of this here or on ebay.

Opcode Games - We need some help!
Bill Brasky replied to Pixelboy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Are there cartridge casings from another common system that could be used? -
Conversion The game uses the same boardset as Qix but has the addition of a coin processor board to prevent ROM swaps as well as an additional daughterboard with extra ROMs. A ROM hack exists to make the game run without the coin processor board, so there is a possibility that a conversion could be a straight ROM swap with some hackery for the additional ROMs. Other games that run on nearly identical hardware are Space Dungeon, The Electric Yo-Yo and Kram. http://klov.com/game_detail.php?letter=&game_id=10540

Opcode Games - We need some help!
Bill Brasky replied to Pixelboy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Instead of creating a custom plastic shell, why not just dip the PCB in epoxy to seal and protect the electronics. I know this won't be an ideal solution for the perfectionist Opcode but it's dirt cheap, fast and easy. -
Colecovision: an alternative controller, any idea?
Bill Brasky replied to lucifershalo's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I have a Champ keypad joystick adapter for auction here: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1 It allows you to use other 9 pin joysticks like Atari's on the CV. Here's a CV controller extension cable: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...p;rd=1&rd=1 -
BIG lot of UC, Rare & ER Colecovision carts ENDS TONIGHT
Bill Brasky replied to Bill Brasky's topic in Auction Central
Fixed! Thanks for the heads up. I just changed the titles and forgot to change the descriptions. -
Rare, low-run strategy game. Highly regarded by Gamefan magazine. This game barely made it into any stores. http://cgi.ebay.com/TEAM-BUDDIES-FOR-PLAYS...1QQcmdZViewItem

Rare Champ keypad joystick adapter for the Colecovision. Do you not like the CV joysticks? Do you find them uncomfortable and unreliable? Simply take your favorite Atari, Commodore, Sega or other 9 pin joystick and plug it into the Champ adapter then plug it into the CV. Now you can play all the CV games with your favorite joystick and still have access to keypad functions. SCHWING!!! http://cgi.ebay.com/CHAMP-KEYPAD-JOYSTICK-...1QQcmdZViewItem

Why do so many people have such a hard-on for those spine cards?

I had Zero Gunner 2 for the dc and I don't recall it being that expensive when it was new. The game WAS released domestically, in the arcades, afaik. I saw it here in an arcade first.

Anyone in NYC with a working Vectrex want to help me out?
Bill Brasky replied to MrRetroGamer's topic in Vectrex
I had a Vectrex that would not display Clean Sweep correctly. I thought maybe my multicart was messed up so I bought an actual Clean Sweep cart and it still wouldn't work. Every other game worked perfectly and CS worked on my other Vectrex. I think one of my Vectrex's was made in Japan and the other was made in Taiwan. -
This is a bug-fixed version that was only released in Europe. Every level always ends with "No Quarks Released" in the North American Coleco version. The Quarks release in this version. I don't think this version has ever been dumped to the internet either. http://cgi.ebay.com/RARE-CBS-VICTORY-COLEC...1QQcmdZViewItem

Is it worth setting up an ebay store to sell carts?

Anybody know where to get these?
Bill Brasky replied to 2600Lives's topic in Classic Console Discussion
They're just called security bits/screwdrivers. You should be able to get them at any well equipped tool store or online. Nintendo/video game stores have no monopoly on them. -
I don't recall there being controllers. I had an adapter for the PC. I bought one but sent it back because I and no one else could figure out how to make it work. EXTREMELY user unfriendly. You had to load the INTV Lives emu onto your pc and crypticly modify the program to make it work, supposedly. Even when you did it exactly according to their directions it still didn't work.

Emulators/homebrew for Playstation 1
Bill Brasky replied to carpecarne's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I have a thing called an Emulator Z that plugged into the back of the psx i/o port and emulated GB, SMS and TG-16, poorly. -
They also show the prototype of the ADAM computer, which I find very cool. I wonder why they changed the datapack drives... I guess the final version was easier to service in case of failure, but still... It's also interesting to note how small the memory module is in the prototype. It probably didn't have any expansion slots (for extra RAM, etc.). The CV roller controller and SA controllers(straight grips) look like prototypes as well. That Rocky screenshot must be an artist's rendition. Let's see, I order two Tunnels' and Trolls games and one Sword and Sorcerer and a Cranston Manor and throw in a Ulysses and the Golden Fleece.

Colecovision: an alternative controller, any idea?
Bill Brasky replied to lucifershalo's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yup, works great two independent buttons and all. Best 7800 and best CV controller! Many games will let you use the second keypad to start the game. You can also use a joystick Y splitter to plug both the RSI and the CV pad into the same port. The only problem with that is DB-9 joystick Y splitter cables are impossible to find. I've searched for years to find one with no luck. I've never seen one for sale.
