I have to change the hdmi input, turn the phoenix off, then back on again, select atari core again, change the hdmi input back to the one the Phoenix is connected to and it's fine. This happens even though the tv is set to a different hdmi input when I first power on the Phoenix. It never used to do this so I'm guessing it likely has something to do with the latest core update. Anyone else have this issue? Should I put this in github?
So I went into the Atari core for the first time since upgrading and I got the high pitched buzz through the tv speakers but I reset the Phoenix then it went away and didn't come back after some other power cycles. During crackpots I did have an audio glitch happen but it looked like the ROM froze up. I do get some random freezes and failures on the Atari 2600 core. The core in general could use some polish and a better instruction set on how it works.

Somewhere on a post by them they said due to licencing requirements it wouldn't be released. Which from what I understood as always been BSR's stance

@zaphro72, if you can send here some screenshots about when you think it is not palyable (as you said previously) because monsters are too fast.
After watching the video from the spectrum I think it is just how the game was designed to play and I need to get better.
I found on the second water screen with the bat you have to jump if you aren't on the front end of the cross thing you will not be able to land back on it.
The spot after the first yellow gate where you are jumping back and forth between the screen with the yellow key and 3 bats and the screen below that has that second water screen I find frustrating to make it back up to the platforms after you have dropped to that lower screen. I seldom manage to make it without taken some severe damage. All of these I think are more related to me needing to find a better technique and improve my skills.
For me I think this game is one of those ones that is difficult to master and in order to make it far you have to time things pretty precise to do that.

I have no idea on this. Maybe @Bmack36 can answer. I haven't run any issues but I believe I am using a setup from either Smokemonster or for the Atarimax card (which I am not sure where that would have been from)

Finally had time to unbox my unit it, hook it up and start playing with it. I am very impressed. This is an incredible feat of engineering.
Where can we go for firmware upgrade files, online manual and core updates?
Can anyone tell me what the file limit per folder is? Read the manual but there's no mention of file limits in folders for either core. Can anyone provide any guidance on this?
Thanks in advance
Firmware updates and cores are posted at the start of

Looking at the spectrum video that was posted I will have to play it more. What I thought were crazy fast enemies don't look as bad when I compare to the Spectrum version. Might just be a case of this is one of those games that takes awhile to get used to how things control.

You got also a small manual (print & read verison) and an flyer, enjoy
!
Don't forget to support homebrew !
I have never played the Spectrum version so I don't know how it plays but now the movements of the main character seem clunky and they aren't fast enough in some sections to get past the bad guys, or in the second spot with water and the floating Bible and the bat if you jump of the bible to avoid the bat it seems like it is moving to fast for you to land back on it.
It is much easier to land on the floating bible things to get across the water now though.

1) The SGM2 was too "alien", with a separate cartridge format
2) Analog video only is kind of bummer
3) ColecoVisions are too unreliable, an attached plugin module will only make that worse
I will post an announcement once we have the updated system designed, but we are still aiming for this year.
So does that mean SGM2 as an add-on for the Colecovision is dead? If it is I might get in on the SGM next run

ie, did Coleco refer to them back in the day as "Button 1" and "Button 2", or left and right, or nothing at all?
Wondering what to label them in an emulator... Or no label at all
Pretty sure they were referred to as Left and Right

It feels to me a strategic score boosting move as opposed to a cheap exploit. Serious skill is needed for high scores in this game; I'm just looking to beat my best along the way
Totally agree. Was just sharing so that others could try to deploy the same strategy to try and increase their scores.

CollectorVision Phoenix Release Thread

Trying to get video to work
Happened again. And once again a power cycle got rid of it. Reset button doesn’t do anything at all in Atari core as far as I can tell.
