    At first, I thought I'd be happy to get about 30k, but then found the game to be much easier than I thought it would be.  My timer meter was almost full when I reached 100k and decided I'm done.  I can't even imagine playing this game into the millions.  The score rises so brutally slow.  Some games I can enjoy sitting for a long time and playing.  Although I like this game, this is not one of those games I could sit for hours and play.

     

    For the most part, I was able to see a few moves ahead; however, those huge combinations where pieces are suddenly exploding off the board... I felt like Inspector Clousseau when he bends over to tie his shoes and all the bad guys shot each other.  🤣

    I was going to say if anybody beats my score I am not playing this game for 6 hours again, as I still can't figure out why I played it for 6 hours in the first place haha.

     

    It is a good port but I don't find it particularly fun in this mode for more then like an hour.

    This is a core you can install in the phoenix in slot 3. It has a modification for the ntt where the . key will jump. This version fixes a usability issue where it will cancel the right input while the . key is pressed. This way you can continue pressing right and hit the . to jump without having to release the right direction.

     

    once you install it, make sure to load the core 3 from the menu.

    It is funny you should post this now as I just figured out I had to let go of the right direction as I press up in order to make my jumps work. I like the NTT for this game now that I figured it out, just gotta quit dying stupidly.

     

    Will have to give the core a try too to see how I like it.

I have some motivation this season that I haven't had in years to be honest. I was up at 6am awhile back playing that dam Flipper Slipper and River Raid. Going to try a bit more today for all the bases then some Smurf action. Taking the time to learn games opens many doors of enjoyment.

    This motivation is bad news for my rankings haha. Just kidding. This group has really had me playing Colecovision a lot more then I probably would have otherwise. Although I love the system sometimes it gets lost in the shuffle.

    The 2020 rom file? Nobody has received it yet I don't think. I doubt they will release it until after the physical copies have been shipped and arrive.

    Hmm I either didn't try jumping over the Crow or I didn't time it very well.
