  1. I'm going to do a whole episode on Tapper, showing the different ports and versions.
  2. My friend Ash Miller, a loyal viewer, suggested I discuss video games about food. In this episode I discuss Food Fight, Pressure Cooker, Pizza Chef, Cakewalk, Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes, and briefly the McDonald's prototype. I had planned on discussing these games in different episodes, but my friend convinced me that just making an episode about food would be a better idea. In my opinion, I think Pizza Chef is a really overlooked game, as it is a puzzle game not your typical space-shooter or side scroller. Although it didn't help that the game wasn't released in America and the original instruction manual was only in Portuguese. I also feel the same about Revenge, as it was also unlike other games from that period. Can you think of any other food games I forgot? Let me know. Please don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already. I really appreciate the views and the feedback. Thank you.
  3. I couldn't agree with you more. I meant the second half of your statement. It really pushed the boundaries of what the 2600 could handle. But it was David Crane, so we shouldn't be surprised. He could probably figure out how to squeeze a PS4 game into an Atari cartridge.
  4. I loved Mat Mania, too. I made a whole episode just about it. Also, has to be one of my all-time favorite wrestling games, period. I'm going to make a followup video where I talk about the 90's.
  5. Nope, you can't duck. You have to just time it right.
  6. In this episode Al and I discuss PItfall II - The Lost Caverns. I remember when I first played all those years ago I was totally blown away. I couldn't believe this was a 2600 game! I've never seen a 2600 game like it before or since. I guess that David Crane knew he had to step it up since Pitfall! was such an intense game. And like always, he didn't disappoint. I play it all the way through from beginning to end, but I'm demonstrating how to beat it as quickly as possible. So, we do tend to miss a lot of gold bars. I honestly have to say that this game took me the longest to finally beat it back in the day. Learning how to duck under the birds and bats...wow! I hope you guys enjoy it. Please don't forget to Like and Subscribe if you haven't already. Thank you.
  7. Wow! I really learned a lot from that session. I'll never look at games the same again. I wonder if he or some of the other programmers ever hang out here.
  8. I'm going to discuss that one in the followup episode. I had many fond memories playing that game, too.
  9. Wow. I never realized. I'm going to try it and do a follow up video.
  10. I have been looking forward to doing this episode because Pitfall! is my all-time favorite Atari game. I remember loving it from the minute I first played back in 83. It was at my uncle's house and I remember that I didn't want to stop once I got going. It took my parents awhile to get it for me, but in the meantime I borrowed it from anyone and everyone that I knew that owned it. I did "earn" the patch but I discovered in those days it was really hard to take a good picture of a TV screen. Has anyone on here received one of Activision's patches? I actually thought about buying one some day since I did "earn" it. But I haven't found one for a reasonable price. Someday I'll probably get one. I'm not the only one, as from what I've read "most" people consider this to be one of the best Atari games ever.
  11. I was going to do a comprehensive episode on my YouTube channel about DK Jr but something kept telling me to hold off. Now that I see this game (thanks to John's awesome channel) I'm going to wait until I get ahold of this before I do one. But wow! What a big change from the original. Not that the original wasn't fun because like John said when you have a port of an arcade game you're just happy to have it!
  12. That game was so buggy to me. One of the reasons that it's hard to emulate is because you had to pound the ACTION button when you played it. I don't know how that cabinet was never broken at the arcade I played it at. It was just more fun with two players, I don't care what anyone said. To let you know how bad it is on MAME, I had the cheats on and I STILL got beat!
  13. I loved that game. I haven't been able to find a working rom for the Atari ST. I used to play it on a friend's c64. I was really disappointed when I couldn't get the rom to work on the Atari ST emulator because I had a lot of fond memories playing it. I've noticed that it's a crap shoot when it comes to games on the ST. I'm not sure why exactly. I was REALLY thankful that the McDonald's game worked (I discussed that WAY back in the first episode), as I had been waiting more than 30 years for that proto to surface. Does anyone else use the Atari ST emulator? Any advice on how to get it to work better? Are there some settings I should work with?
  14. Thanks for viewing and for the comments. Much appreciated.
  15. I was just never a big Intellivision fan, except for Beauty and the Beast and AD&D. The other poster was right in that I really should have played it with an Intellivison controller (another thing I didn't like about the system).
  16. I'll give you that. Some games are just more fun when there are two players. I just got the Atari 8 Gold and I had an absolute blast playing those old games with my 12 year old.
  17. Yes, I do agree with Tag Team. I mean it was the first wrestling game, so there was room for improvement. But compared to WWF WrestleMania, just about anything was great.
  18. No you're not confused. It's Tecmo that you're thinking of. I'm going to discuss it in the followup video. I really enjoyed that one too. I think Tecmo had to be one of the best NES sports games companies, PERIOD. I am playing a season on Tecmo Basketball right now, probably for the 1,000th time.
  19. You said it! I loved playing the game in the arcade but it doesn't work at all on MAME. Even with the cheats. I think because you literally had to pound the crap out of the "action" button.
  20. In this episode I discuss the history and mechanics of trackball arcade games. Enjoy.
  21. In this episode I discuss wreslting video games. I profile wrestling games from the arcade, home systems, and computers. Some of them are great and some not so great. I will have a followup episode where I discuss the games from the 90's.
  22. If anyone has it, I'll be glad to pay for it!
  23. I can't wait to play this. I'm going to plug it and Mappy on my channel. John always does great work.
