  1. I really have to say that I haven't played a version that wasn't great. And with the many variations on the 2600 cartridge you can always up your game and the challenge never ends. That's what makes a classic.
  2. I agree. It amazes me the awesome job that programmers do with homebrews. I'm doing a multi-part episode later about my favorite homebrews and hacks. It's going to end up being multi-multi part as I keep discovering new ones. When I do talk about them I always make sure to give credit to the authors and tell people to head here @ atariage so they can purchase them.
  3. You know it. I remember when I was a kid I think I played for 4 hours straight. I remember having a hard time standing up! I have many great memories playing that game. It always has been and always will be one of my favorite game. Any version!
  4. In my latest episode of my Youtube channel I discuss Asteroids and the various ports of the game. I know that most of us have probably played this game more than we care to admit, but I still love it and had a blast (pun intended) playing it again for this episode. Enjoy!
  5. How How could I not? It's totally awesome. I hope they use when they release the game. I tried to make my own for the Passion of Jesus game.
  6. I've uploaded the latest episode of my Youtube series where I review and discuss the game. I know mine is nowhere near as good as John Hancock's but who's would be? I also discuss a hack someone from the forum here named Atari Dogs made called "Passion of Jesus".
  7. The latest episode of my channel is now up. I discuss Dark Chambers and the Atari Advantage Program. I really enjoyed this game a lot, although I'll be honest, I just recently discovered it. Back when it came out I did have a 7800 and was splitting time between it and the NES. I was pretty much unaware that they were still making games for the 2600 back then. It's too bad that I missed this game as I know I would have played it to death. To tell you the truth, I wasn't a big Gauntlet fan. I know, start throwing the rotten fruit! I just thought it was too hard! Even though this game came out later I think you can call it a pre-Gauntlet or Gauntlet Light. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the episode. If you do please don't forget to Like and Subscribe, as I'm trying to get 50 subscribers. I've always got a lot of support and constructive criticism from you guys here and I appreciate it! Thank you.
  8. I loved the video John Hancock did about this game. Does he ever hang out here? I've always wanted to meet him as he was one of those who inspired me to create my own YouTube channel.
  9. Wow, you guys are talented! I wish I had the time and patience to do hacks and homebrews!
  10. Okay, I'll just discuss the game. Hopefully the official release will be soon. I really loved the game.
  11. Is it okay if I use that picture of the cart you made when I do the episode on my channel? That is until the game gets an official release on cart (hoping!!)
  12. Thank you. I'll be darned. You learn something new every day! I just thought the ship got really poor gas mileage!
  13. It was only given to employees at a certain location. I talk about it in my prototype episode. Of course it's available in rom format just about everywhere.
  14. Have you seen that forthcoming homebrew of Mappy? You swear it's the arcade game.
  15. I couldn't agree with you more. Back in the day when I used to show people Pitfall II they didn't believe it was a 2600 game.
  16. Honestly, I really didn't care for the Swordquest games much. I discovered them long after the contest for done and over with. And judging by the reviews here on Atariage I'm not the only one. I think my most favorite had to be Fireworld and that was kind of stretch. I had a chance to get Waterworld at a yard sale about 20 years ago for $1. So, don't feel too bad.
  17. Thanks. I really loved Kool Aid Man myself. I played it for hours on end. Chase I feel could have been better if the corners and passageways were wider. I've still played it hundreds of times, but to call it the worst game ever made is going too far.
  18. That's true. A few of them did, but in limited quantities. Imagine picking up Quadrun at Kaybee for $5 on clearance and then selling for hundreds on Ebay. My parents were members of the Atari Club but they never got any of the games listed in the magazines. My pa was one of those guys who waited for the discount bins. I remember one night he cleaned house at Kaybee.
  19. Thank you for watching. I appreciate. I've been a fan all my life, too.
