  4. Yeah i really don't like being hand cuffed to the PC with noisy fans and software and security bullshit updates Whilst emulation has it's pro's and cons i'd rather deal with real hardware knowing it should behave as expected Edit: :I would say Hatari is a lot better then few years ago
  5. Looks like Food Fight got a port but never a release as far i know https://atarilegend.com/games/games_detail.php?game_id=6072
  6. Does anybody know a list of Atari 8bit games that made it over too the ST/STE?
  7. On real 800XL hardware NTSC games are just abit slower so i guess it's the same? Whilst i'm here what's a good mouse for the ST?
  8. Makes a nice change from that crass vulgar little twat AVGN
  9. Okay Anyway i'm trying out Windows version of Hatari with TOS 1.62 and add TOS 2.06 on STE settings and 4mb of ram to give me idea how many STX files are compatible Because i'm in a PAL region were i can't find PAL versions of games is it going be a hassle using NTSC versions when i need too?
  10. Running out of options were to buy a 2nd hand unit anybody know good online stores or other sites?
  11. Pasti dunno Pasted when you spend entire night down the pub
  12. I have couple of display options Sony 28 inch wide screen CRT TV with RGB SCART input Then i have SAMSUNG T32E310 32" LED TV/MONITOR with RGB SCART and S-VIDEO input with a XRGM-MINI if i need too use it GOTEK DRIVE will be a must i'm not dealing with crusty old floppies to much hassle
  13. More likely this what i will do aim for a ST machine with TOS 1.04 then load TOS 1.02 via disk if when i need it or add it via switch Same with a STE machine with 4mb of ram with TOS 1.62 and add TOS 2.06 via switch with two machines setup that way i should be covered for as much compatibility as possible
  14. I think it might of been Space Spartans on the Mattel Intellivision
  15. Okay so 1.04/1.02, for normal ST and 2.06 for STE Got some one who will do the mods for me all i need to do know is find decent machines most are way over priced eBay
  16. So just to be clear i should aiming for two machines for a STE machine TOS 2.06 to start with and add a switch for TOS 1.62 or load via disk? for a ST machine For ST 2.06 to start with add a switch for TOS 1.04/TOS 1.02 or load TOS 1.04/TOS 1.02 via disk? Also is it better to hold out for a Mega STE if i can find one?
  17. When i mentioned Steam i meant the crap by Valve
  18. Personally i'm sick to death with any type PC gaming especially Steam These day i mostly use offline machines for Windows 3.1/98 and XP it's the same for my small collection of home computers Atari 800XL Commodore 64/128/PLUS 4 Acorn Electron MSX2 Apart from the modern loading devices it's simplicity of those machines without the bullshit
  19. My main gripe with most emulators is being handcuffed to PC and all the crap that goes with it At least with real hardware that's in good working order it should behave as expected In any case when i decide on which to use Atari or Commodore looks like i will get two machines (STFM/STE) (500/1200)
