  1. Lots are still on eBay if you keep a eye out. Paid $58 with shipping today for this lot, has 2 copies of B.B. in it. Also needes Ace Of Aces so that was good. And I have Food Fight (what a great game) but the sealed version is sweet
  2. I think its different things to different people. To me its a great looking unit that can possibly play games from across multiple Atari platforms via HDMI. I imagine the ability to play from downloaded ROMs. That is interesting to me. What drives my interest is a higher build than a sub $100 emulator option. I purchased a NES emulator that was much more expensive than the lower price ones on the market. They all do the same thing but the higher build quality on the one I purchased was worth the extra money to me. Its all personal preference in the end. Pre paying is a intersting concept, I have a trip in Jan to Dublin with almost everything prepaid. Well except the stout and whiskey if I do not go for whatever reason Im out $1000s, rather its my fault or not. I do think prepaying is a way of building excitement as well for oneself. Knowing that all I have to do is show up at the airport and Im going to Dublin now is exciting. No if we have the money we will go type of thing. Im still hopeful the AB comes out, that it is well built and has access to the large catalogue of games on the many Atari consoles and maybe computers. Then Ill look at buying one.
  3. I was not aware he did that. Sorry. But yeah he was spoilt rotten with video games, thats not hate speaking but jealousy :0
  4. I think by holiday season 2019 its going to be out for purchase or just dead in the water. Im going 70% produced, 30% never see the light of day.
  5. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GoM3IKJZ5yY https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=m8f_TD_nfqs Not sure if these have been posted before or not but a cool look back at Atari in a gamers household in the 90s. The dad is as big a gamer as the kid. :0 Touching videos IMO. Good stuff.
  6. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AS-S6HsT-pY Maybe Im just getting old but a touching video about the impact video games can have on families. You can hear the love in the voices of both the father and the son.
  7. I am morally supporting it, I want the thing to be successful. Ill buy one if I like the final product. No shame is support more gaming options IMO.
  8. You bring up a important point Corn or flour tortilla? I am pro corn myself although I can suck down either.
  9. Dump the aardvark and go with Gods favorite critter..the Armadillo!
  10. I paid $200 ish for a RetroUSB AVS this year. Plays all NES and Famicom games via hardware not software emulation for lack of a better term. Not had a issue with any of the carts Ive tried from both systems. Very very well built machine. Id pay the same for a nice HDMI Atari cart taking machine! But yeah they could add a 2600/7800 cart port and a Jag or 5200 port if not all three. Sign me up.
  11. I believe you have to send them the chip and they install it. I may be wrong though.
  12. Im calling dibs on posting number 12,000 post on this thread. If Im not around when it is time yall have to hold off posting till i get a chance to ring up 12,000. New guy rights and all...
  13. That makes sense. :9 Did the original arcade cabinet of Tempest have dentents? I can not recall. Played more Defender and Robotron bavknin those arcade days.
  14. Detents... Im guessing clicky thing is not the correct terminology? :0
  15. So the nice set is due to that unit getttng a box job or at least a box lift? Bet the owner is from California or maybe New Jersey..
  16. I gotta quick posting after I have been nipping at the whiskey. :0
  17. The small carts the Nintendo Switch uses are pretty cool. Better than any CD based format IMO. Of course they would be crazy easy to lose...kinda look like really small PC Engine game media.
  18. Ahhh the Dreamcast, the greatest of all the failed consoles IMO. And home to the greatest video game ever, Shenmue! Worth owning a DC just for that jewel! The remakes of Part 1 and 2 come out next month. :0
  19. Your right, the Jaguar press was worse. Im not a fan of aggressive in your face attitude in advertising. It worked for Sega back in the war with Nintendo, but Atari failed at it. Ill get a 5200 because of the games, and that trackball does look sweet.
  20. Ok Im gonna change my original thread title from thats a nice set to thats a kinda sorta nice set Except I do not know how to change thread titles so youll have to use your imagination! I still think its sexy, but I have low standards!
  21. The Jaguar was a dismal failure back then but I think its redemmed itself pastvthd 5200 as the most craptacular Atari console of all time. Maybe the VCS will make the 5200 look good! For the record I want a 5200, not hating on it at all but overall I think its less loved than the Jaguar.
  22. That collection is a sight to behold :0 Nice.
  23. Damn That was impressive...nice ID on that game.
