  2. Crazy price, no way Id pay that. Twice what its worth it not even more than twice. But that looks very nice :0 That link you provided is very nice as well :0 I just bought a new Xbox One S last month That 7800 you linked is even sexier ...
  3. https://m.ebay.com/itm/NEW-In-Original-BOX-1987-Atari-7800-ProSystem-Console-System-Complete-10-Games/312171376077?hash=item48aedd2dcd:g:2HMAAOSwIDJbL7rN&_trkparms=gclientid%3DUzbPFSK-zv3JAOfj4J4E7ge39mhIextyTVvNkQFW4gtPJfBIZB7of85hcsDh5NJW&_trksid=p2489528.m4335.l8656 Too rich for my blood but...damn thats nice :0 That box alone is sweet!
  4. As a Texas boy I once fully agreeded with that.. Then I went to California and discovered fish tacos.. And I was woke as the kids now say.. Fish tacos proudly and rightfully take their place in the taco family now! Now shrimp tacos? Yeah only commies like those!!
  5. What is the the over / under on total number of posts on this thread ? :0 A co worker mentioned she was having fish tacos for dinner.. I thought of this thread... Weird :0
  6. Not sure. I think the gentleman who built mine builds both varieties. I purchased mine off eBay. Read the description and it speaks about the clicking. He also has some oddball Jaguar carts for sale. https://m.ebay.com/itm/Atari-Jaguar-Rotary-Duo-Controller-For-Tempest-2000-T2K-Backmount/283017927724?hash=item41e52edc2c%3Ag%3Ais4AAOxyXWdQ7vfp&_sacat=0&_nkw=jaguar+rotary+controller&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=p2380057.m4084.l1312.R1.TR5.TRC0.A0.H0.X.TRS5
  7. My seller there has been extremely good so far. Emails and such have now expanded to baseball (that country is a baseball factory of players in MLB, its crazy) and also his country. He is very well aware and honest of the political issues but also has a deep love of his country. Odd that we are talking about those types of things when it was all started with a $12 video guy buy.
  8. :9 Im better today but yeah last night was a wee bit tipsy :0 I need to become better at posting, do it all on my phone so that is an issue for me :0
  9. Had an Atari 400 back in the day, ahh the membrane keyboard... Then went Apple IIc and then Amiga 2000 so never had that era of Atari computer, Ill look into them. Thanks
  10. Interesting read. My mind says no to a 5200 but my heart is saying maybe. Some games on there I would like to play. Or could use the funds for some more homebrews on the 2600 and 7800. Cant go wrong either way.
  11. Ive never used a controller with the rotary on the front. The one I bought was I the navk and it is perfectly natural to hold the controller upside down and use it that way for me. My rotary is a free spinning model, does not click as it rotates when I use it. I would think for a game like Tempest the clicking version would be better. But Im not sure.
  12. My Yars from there which i received yesterday is 100% legit. Fits and works fine. Bid on it from eBay. I just bid on Dark Chambers for the 2600 from there tonight. Maybe its luck of the draw.
  13. Damn it.. Now I want a 5200.. Stupid hobby is going break me.. Berzerk Irish Whiskey I blame them tonight :0
  14. Best bet might be buying a 7800 game lot on eBay for a donor chip, seems the cheapest way to get a cart with one in it. Thats my plan at some point.
  15. Received a sealed Yars Revenge today from there in fact. Great shape, not opened at all. Shipped to Texas. $12 shipped. Have Off The Wall sealed as well coming. Ordered Yars on the 30th of June. Gonna fire up Yar a bit latter tonight in fact :0
  16. I sent you a message on those 7800 games. Thanks :0 This store had all their Atari stuff out on shelves in alphabetical order by title. Pretty well organized. Only about 15 or so 7800 games but Around 150-175 2600 games.
  17. Thanks they are in fairly good shape too It is nice to meet young folks that even care about the 2600 :0 Young clerk said his favorite game was Skate Boardin and the young customer said Kaboom. They were talking about how basic the games were (not in a ugly way) and I had to remind them that most people went from Pong to the 2600, and that it was a huge leap. :0
  18. As long as I get my built in grill cheese maker and beer tap on the side Im fine with Windows 3 :0
  19. Stopped by a local retro store at lunch, been there once and picked up some GameCube, Dreamcast and PS1 Games. Went in looking for 2600 and 7800 games as I remembered they had a good amount. Picked up the ones above (the Pole Position is really PP 2 for 7800) for under $20 which is kinda nice :0 Just feels like a stack of games for under $20 is always cool. Talking to the young clerk he said those carts had most likely been there for years and offered to clean them. That started a good conversation about the 2600 which a customer joined in on, he was young as well. They had pisituve things to say but what I found interesting was the comment he made about young customers buying 2600 games. From what he said Some young kids buy the 2600 games as they want to develop games and the 2600 are a good to see basic game structure etc. I thought that made a lot of sense. Kinda cool to think that thats old games still have use outside of playing for enjoyment.
  20. Good link, thanks. I like watching those type of videos.
  21. I felt the same way but dived in anyways. It is a totally different game to me now. Its worth it if you really like Tempest. The rotary controller works with other games as well. So its not a one game purchase if that makes sense.
  22. Who has time to read details!!! Lol Its cool having to wait..anticipation and all, its a little bit like Christmas really :0 Plus back in the day we had to wait for games, Fits the old school games well to have to wait a wee bit.
  23. Watched Expendables 3 again recently, Chuck still has it. He was awesome in that movie.
  24. Real question is will it be powerful enough to surf porn on the internet. Cause that will happen, it will be the first Atari porn capable box. Saw a video this year officially stating where PS4 is used to surf more porn than Xbox now. Crazy what they track. But didnt the Atarii 2600 have some of the first porn games? Unofficial of course but it had them as Ive read. Full circle...
