I wonder if there is room for a slight graphics mod..

 

I am not familiar with the Intelivision limitations but as far as I can tell the body of the beast consist from black rectangular pixels, and his face from double wide yellow and black pixels ?

Anyway following this rough estimate I drew a new beast as a comparison.. I was going for a bearded wild man but the limitations lead me to a beast-man 😮

It seems to be matching anything I can remember seeing on the NES but I don't know what's going on under the hood. Is this a  Herculean effort compared to the NES?

I did the graphics for 1942,

what 1942 has under the hood is Paul Lay, the guy is a wizard (and a great guy), it was his first and last game on the 7800 and he completed it in a matter of months.. sadly he chooses to "leave" the platform soon after 😥

I think you are not using the latest sets, but I can see a couple of things that needs improvement in the animation.. I'll take a look as soon as possible.

Once we finalize the caveman, I'll start work on mama t-rex.. I can't wait 🙂

[PVM monitors]

Hey guys,

 

I recently scored 2 SONY PVM-20L4 monitors,

I'd like to use them for retrogaming of course..

Ideally I want to connect them on my emulators pc and/or my raspberry pi ?

 

Any pointers on where to start looking ?

I made a little investigation inside the rom (with hackomatic),

and its looking quite straightforward to replace the explorer with Tarzan, even the colors are more than enough to make it right..

 

the down side is that the color layers are not where I need them.. and I have no clue how to adjust them.

So unless a coder gets involved, its a dead end for me  😐
