So much subtlety in a Jeff Minter game. People seem to miss this, or dismiss things as just derivative when it's these small nuances that turn a mediocre game into something super addictive. To this day, his stuff is like that.

Anyone think Ballblazer is possible on the 2600?

Forgot about this one. -
When the wife first showed me Napoleon Dynamite, I immediately thought of this. I've never liked getting my picture taken so senior photos were torture anyhow. But this just made it hurt even more.

The only thing I could even think of for this slot, is the BIT-3 card. Obviously, there would be zero reason to keep that if using a VBXE so I see no reason to not.

#FujiNet Testing and Bug Reporting Thread
Stephen replied to tschak909's topic in #FujiNet SIO Network Adapter
Q.anon bastards. -
Let me just jump in and say, this thread has been fascinating from the beginning and remains so! Thanks for sharing.

I am gonna guess no because the ANTIC / GTIA (in this case VBXE) combo, is what drives the underlying vertical refresh rate, based on region.

Someone one on e-Bay did me a big favor...

Score!!! -
Hmm - I think I've decided where my next VBXE will be installed

Ask a certain Jeff here - I think he'll tell you that blowing on the cart ports will work. Just don't do it on an N64, because the cart itself is sealed from dust, while the fingers that make contact are not. So that means the connection can go bad, but hey - the internal cart will not have dust on it. Because yeah, that's why the NES had issues. The dust on the cart, not bad contact with the edge connector.

Great ideas, but I must confess to absolutely despising 3D prints. The quality of even the best is just so amateur / junk looking 99% of the time. I'm sure the technology will keep on improving though.

My first A8 (emulated) complete with U1MB and SIDE2

Don't feel bad. I've been using Altirra since day one - 2009 IIRC, and there's more that I don't know about it, than what I do know. It evolves so fast - it's impossible to keep up! That is a great problem to have. LMAO - literally 30 seconds after I close this tab, I see -
What a short memory the troll has. I accused him of coding that on purpose, he denied it, someone quickly patched the software to work, he demanded the patch be taken down, then was forced to eat crow and say it was coded on purpose. Why do people think that they can delude people so easily? Most people are too stupid to be a good liar. BTW - just because you can wave your hand and say "I didn't say it", it's very easy to find it in multiple places. The group of us hear don't share in some group hallucination. Keep it up. The last person to call me an envious snake and accuse me of lies while lying has been gone for a long time now.

This is just a guess - but I know in order to make it work with my Indus, I first have to turn off the keyboard buffer in SDX. Maybe give that a shot?

Every thread you are in is the same. You say something stupid, you get proven wrong, and then you keep talking in circles and changing the topic. No different than when you got caught out not knowing how your bounding box math worked, and why it breaks your games. You would be a great politician.

Wouldn't matter - the collision detection would be so far off, you won't be in danger of being hit!

On the toolkit (provided on the SDX download page), there is in fact a drivers directory. I don't remember the exact structure, and it is ARCed so you'll have to extract it. -
"Dragonfly" my version of the Atari 7800 SD cartridge
Stephen replied to rj1307's topic in Atari 7800
That sure got here quickly! Just received my cart, serial #28. I don't even have my 7800 down from the attic storage. Guess I'll have to get it tomorrow. -
Thanks - I'm not on twitter, so seems I'm missing out on some stuff.
-
Fair enough, I certainly have dished out enough. Have at it. I guess this was early 92 and I'd had a recent haircut, it was usually midway down my back.

Boy did I rock a cool one in high school! Never did get it cut, but the front's now as long I'd post a pic but we're a cruel bunch here.

What did I miss?

There's several great things in SDX whenusing VBXE. Sparta Commander in colour! I think it can do up to 30 lines of text (24, 25, and then 2 condensed modes). EDDY (disk editor) is also much enhanced. -
Yes, we do. It's just part of the running joke.

If it's hot glue, don't try cutting it or anything. Just keep dousing it with 90% or greater isopropyl alcohol, and it will complete lose adhesion. Alcohol will not hurt the PCB or any of the mods, so don't be afraid to really get it wet.
