Yeah - the agreement was after they sued him, they allowed him to release his own game, which he owned the rights to, and always had. Furthermore, they denied TxK from being released on the PS4, and they disallowed the existing and finished game from getting a VR release. So, fuck them. I had zero respect for the IP holding ass-clowns before this, but now I want to see them burn in a spectacular crash and lose everything they have in the process because of it. I won't stop pushing the facts to show what a shady, piss-poor example of a company this is. Furthermore, I will NEVER support them with my wallet. I'll do everything in my power to make sure other people don't as well.

Need to presevere/backup some old floppies. Can anyone help?

Can I just say, that given the recent talk of AriolaSoft - and combined with Larry's avatar and this image, all I can think of is big boobies. Big and pendulous. -
RMT2LZSS: convert RMT tunes to LZSS for fast playback!
Stephen replied to rensoup's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I hate in game music. It gets old no matter how nice it is. Give me good music in a title screen, fine. Anything else, you better let me turn it off else I won't hear the sound effects. The first game I did not despise the music in was Tempest 2000. there's nothing on the A8 that I would want to hear long enough to finish a game. Pitfall 2, OK, good music. Neat they used extra hardware for the 2600 to do it. Make me listen to it for 30 minutes without a break - I'd rather be deaf. -
Don't forget. They also sue fan ran websites as well as nobodies like Jeff Minter (whom they then use a FAKE screenshot of his game running on their system). Fuck with a developer of this stature, who has supported every piece of Atari hardware from the 2600 through the Jag CD then moved onto Nuon and other things, and you have lost me.

Atari 400 power on successfully only now and then
Stephen replied to slaanesh's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
This is why I don't do hardware. Sorry guys. -
I'm also in NE. If the zombie apocalypse ever ends, maybe there can be a get together. Not many meetings close to where I am these days. Last show, was VCFMW which was a 6 hour drive one way!

I don't think emkay has hardware capable of doing anything > 50Hz -
Any way you can remove the turban and substitute it with that awesome haircut we've all come to love?

I'm buying at least one now just because of the asshole filter being included!

Atari 400 power on successfully only now and then
Stephen replied to slaanesh's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Yeah - but even unloaded, a 7805 should not output 13V. That's the point of using a regulator (7805) in the first place, right? -
This has to be a record for fastest (un)console hack right? Few days tops?

Stephen replied to E474's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Thanks for posting. I know I'm childish, but I can never hear that name and not giggle, even to this day. Mmmmmmmm - ariola (I know, misspelled). -

Stephen replied to gwpt's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I'm pretty sure the people on there had to explicitly go in, and make an entry. -
Resized, or re-positioned I would imagine.

Was going to mention Harmony, but saw it already was. So just wanting to say how much I like my Harmony

RMT2LZSS: convert RMT tunes to LZSS for fast playback!
Stephen replied to rensoup's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Wow - that sounds nice. Very low bass in this - I would not have expected "just" 100Hz playback. -
Yeah, it's an IRC chnnel on chat.freenode.net

Come hit the ##atari (yes, two hashes) channel. We get the occasional Atari 8-bit online.

Transfer directly to Stack?
Stephen replied to JohnnyRockets's topic in 2600 Programming For Newbies
No - there's no direct loading from or saving to the stack on the 6502(7). We can only push, or pull Accumulator values, or use the above transfer from another internal register. -
But hey - ALL of this is our fault. It was our negative attitudes that caused this. AA trolls should be ashamed at the damage they have caused.

If you have a UAV, don't bother with any other mod. Short of using a Sophia2, the UAV produces the best output on all Ataris!

Man - that's a bit rough. WD-40 will remove the sticker using a toothbrush or your fingernail. Then use some hot soapy water to remove the WD-40 so it won't leech into the plastic. The etched ion text - sorry, I can't help with a fix for that.

Search for the Supersalt Display BD TE-200070
Stephen replied to BigBen's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Wow - never heard of this before. -
Yup - and you would not believe the difference in quality between that 1084S monitor and a Sony PVM. Makes the 1084S look pale and fuzzy in comparison.

Hey - just like the Fuji logo on the (un)console, this thing's got LEDs. That counts for something right? Everyone loves LEDs.
