  1. Thanks - I am a huge fan of Minter's stuff, and have not yet seen any of his ST work. I plan on exploring his catalog soon. P.S. His latest XBox 360 (and PC) work is rather excellent. Stephen Anderson
  2. Hmm - never had a double post before. Guess I'll have to go pay now. Stephen Anderson
  3. Excellent. Thanks. I also got my password reset, so everything is good now. I was just making absolutely sure I don't miss out I've had an ST for nearly 3 years now, and can't do anything with it. Stephen Anderson
  4. No - major bummer, as he could possibly shed some light on the excellent PoKey and hi-speed SIO discussions going on. He'd probably get a kick out of Rybag's interlaced results. Stephen Anderson
  5. Awesome boards. Do these two need to be used together or can they function separately? Stephen Anderson
  6. Nice. I went ahead and ordered two PCBs from you. I will post pics when I get them assembled. Stephen Anderson Good luck. The only thing simple to solder on that board is the pin header. I like a challenge. I consider myself an expert solderer. I did that 2 weeks ago. I am comfortable with SMD devices. I have promised Steve Shepard a video of the assembly. I will make it available to everyone. Stephen Anderson
  7. I still cannot get a reply from the preorder website to verify my 2 went through. Stephen Anderson
  8. Nice. I went ahead and ordered two PCBs from you. I will post pics when I get them assembled. Stephen Anderson
  9. Funny - we have a 24/7 IRC channel now. Stephen Anderson
  10. I'll be waiting for a while, since I didn't order until into 2009. That's OK though - it will be a nice surprise whenever it shows up. Stephen Anderson
  11. There was a BASIC game of Smokey and the Bandit. Was that it? Stephen Anderson
  12. Thought I'd post a few pics of my assembled CMI08 SMD work takes a steady hand. I use a small pencil tip iron and a paste flux. Resistor farm There is not as much solder as it looks - I couldn't get the lighting right on this image. Still, I am disappointed with the soldering on this side. When I was assembling & inspecting PCBs full time, I would have failed it. I also screwed up and didn't remove the solder mask on the three large holes under the PS2 connector. It works asw nice as it looks. I haven't figured out a case yet. Stephen Anderson
  13. One is built, the other is put away for now. Excuse the image size - I didn't feel like scaling them down. Stephen Anderson
  14. Got my boards in today. I'm going out to get the parts now:) I'll try to post pics when I get the PCB assembled. I don't have a working 1200XL to test it on yet. Stephen Anderson
  15. Looks good here too. I really have to try this on a proper TV or my 1084S monitor instead of this VGA convertor. Stephen Anderson
  16. Here's one vote for manual config under DOS2.5 / MyDOS. I never use them, especially with the latest revision of Sparta X 4.42 working on flashcarts. Stephen Anderson
  17. I'll try this as soon as I get home from work (NTSC machine) Stephen Anderson
  18. I really want one of these boards, but there is no way I could build just one for myself. PCB cost would be prohibitive for a single and I do not have a chip programmer. It would be great if we could manage to just get a run of bare PCBs done. Stephen Anderson
  19. Not really - I just read it as someone with ultra advanced knowledge of the architecture probing for answers. Stephen Anderson Maybe. To me it seems like you discuss the shortcomings with other programmers and tell the engineer how much you love his work (if you want him to stick around). How about wgungfu correcting Joe's version of Amiga history in post #104? I feel like we're trying to run him off. Can we at least try to get some Antic info out of him before we risk pissing him off? OK - I see where you are coming from. Yeah - I certainly hope he doesn't get scared off. I remember when Rob Fulop first showed up some years back. It didn't take long for him to leave once people kept pestering him to finish a game from 20 years ago. Stephen Anderson

  21. Hello, Have you got this in yet, and if so does it work? Just wondering if I should get one also. I did get one in, but haven't got an SD card to test it with yet. However, Sijmen (authour of the MyIDE ROM) has posted over at the Atarimax forums. Several people have failed to get the device to work. Sijmen is looking into the cause for the incompatibility. 22. Hello Stephen, I have my engineering notebooks from that period, and third party references like De Re Atari. I would be happy to help reconstruct the Colleen chipset: Antic, GTIA, Pokey. I think I have partical schematics of Antic; I don't have the others. Are people trying to construct a software emulator or a hardware emulator? Yours, Joe Decuir What I wouldn't gove to thumb through those notebooks! Actually, the reverse engineering has been going on due to incomplete emulation of certain features. Curt has said he will release the schematics to all the chips soon so it should soon be a non-issue. There are tons of people here that would be spellbound to hear tales of the design days, technical and non-technical. Thanks for replying. Stephen Anderson
  23. I think it is only based on the number of posts you have. The more posts the more joysticks and the handle changes at something like 100,250,1000, etc. I am not to sure about the exact delineation, but you get the picture. You can add your own at the top of the avatar by going to click"My Controls" at the top, click"Edit Profile Information" and put something in Custom Status. Wasn't there a custom status for VIPs? I would definitely say he qualifies Stephen Anderson
