  1. Wow - that was one of my first BBS downloads at a glorious 300 baud back in 87. I never knew it let you play cassettes. Stephen Anderson
  2. Pre-order sent! Looks like a cool project. Stephen Anderson
  3. Well, I just tried searching those DLLs on my Vista box adn they are also not present. What is your dev environment Gorf? I have VS2005 Professional on both machines. Stephen Anderson
  4. Same thing here. I am running XP SP3. Stephen Anderson Thanks Stephen. Can you try the Debug build version and see if you have better luck? I appreciate the report. Gorf PM sent Stephen Anderson
  5. This is badass ! Most anticipated title on the 8-bit. I showed my GF this video yesterday and then had to show her why it was so impressive. Then I realized that I have been wowed by this machine for 26 years, with no end in sight. Stephen Anderson
  6. Same thing here. I am running XP SP3. Stephen Anderson
  7. Wow - this is great. The only other "music" I have heard play from GTIA was in Midnight Magic. Those sound effects were insanely scratchy. Stephen Anderson
  8. I'll join you Carmel. I usually have a very sharp white cheddar (called New York cheddar, as opposed to Wisconsin cheddar which is less strong, less crumbly, and a deep yellow) on my welsh rarebit. Stephen Anderson
  9. Fascinating stuff! I have looked at the 6502 stuff. I pledge $330 to decipher any one of the LSI chips in the 8-bit line. No BS. Three more volunteers, and we are set. Stephen Anderson
  10. Yeah - a8maestro (Rick) does the MTG stuff. He's on here as well as a ergular on the IRC chats. I have one of his SIO spiders with the Peeker. It's fun to watch. Stephen Anderson
  11. I was going to say the same thing. It took me forever to make the 1st internal mod to my 130XE. I won't touch the case though. Stephen Anderson
  12. Same here. I would buy a couple of these as well. I am hoping these will be available in kit form. I have enough Ataris to mod a few and keep the others stock. Stephen Anderson
  13. Just a guess, but maybe the original owner needed to use two "dead-end" SIO devices? Or he could have made custom cables / extensions and since the SIO stuff wasn't a standard part, decided to go DB9. I can't think of any other reason for it. Stephen Anderson
  14. Very cool! What does CTRL- do? I get color bars in the border and the game freezes. Stephen Anderson
  15. Short of running it on an XL / XE series machine, there is no way to turn off the sound. Stephen Anderson
  16. I can't locate it-- I looked around yesterday. Disk seems to have gotten lost in latest relocation, but I do remember hearing that message "Prepare to Qualify" on the Atari polepos game. I could swear I played that version as well. I'll see if I can find a copy this evening. Stephen Anderson
  17. I'm in the US and ready to buy one (I have a PAL 130XE it will be going into). I just need to know the price and where to send the money Stephen Anderson
  18. That's what my current scan converter does. I was hoping this one would do better. #@&%! If I had waited two more hours, I would not have bid on this. Oh well - now I have a 2nd uselses VGA doubler for my 8-bits. Stephen Anderson
  19. Please, the best test for the de-interlacer on this is to just fire up FlickerTerm and see if the characters line up. Do a solid line of dashes or underscores, and see if they are stepped or flat. If flat, it is correctly handling the output of the Atari. If you need an image, let me know and I'll ZIP one up. Stephen Anderson
  20. Yes - please try FlickerTerm with this and let us know if the font displays properly, or if every other 4 pixel character cell is droppped by one scan line. Stephen Anderson
  21. Where does one find these "little teenage whores" you speak of? Stephen Anderson
  22. I can't imagine what it must have been like down in Texas. We got some really nasty rain all weekend and 50-60MPH winds for a few hours yesterday evening. My house wasn't damaged, but tons of trees are down and tens of thousands are without power. We've been running on generators at work all day, and some schools are closed. A guy I work with had a tree come down on his car. Like you said, quite a storm. Stephen Anderson
  23. Not really sure Marius - I'll log on as soon as I can (I am typing this at work as my cable is still out due to a wind storm we had yesterday). I do dial up the telnet BBSes at least once a week, I will add your to my list. BTW - I connect using my 130XE for the really authentic feeling. Stephen Anderson
