What's the latest Atari related thing(s) you've bought on ebay?
Stephen replied to Ross PK's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
I only have 1 of the XE adapters. I wonder if there is a source for those? I got one really cheap on EBay. I am pretty sure MetalGuy did a repro last year. Stephen Anderson -
I have a nearly mint condition Atari Video Music with original packing materials, box, and manual. It even still has the original dessiacnt packs. I also have a working Stunt Cycle, and Touch Me. Stephen Anderson

Heaven, are these PAL only? They don't work on my NTSC 130XE. Stephen Anderson

My goal is to mount images stored on my PC from the Atari 800Xl. I can mount an image into APE like normal in Windows XP with no problems but I want to be able to browse and mount my disk images stored on my Windows System from the Atari System side not Windows side. Thanks for the replies! Sorry about that. I will see if I can get this working. I'll try to post back tomorrow after work. Stephen Anderson

I swear I used the copy CAR command. Now you have me curious. Time to burn Sparta X and try it - or I won't be able to sleep *** EDIT *** Well - my memory obviously fails me. Spent quite some time burning SParta X to my 8-Mbit flashcart (Ace-80XL is on the 1Mb). Tried the copy command and got the $A1 error. Stephen Anderson

What you need to do is "mount" the ATR in drive one of APE. Then just turn on the Atari and let it boot that disc. The mirror feature lets you use the PC drive as a large hard disk on the Atari. You cannot boot from a PC mirror. As long as you have a bootable ATR in slot one of APE, the Atari will boot from it. Stephen Anderson

One more question. I have the 4.41 ROM working on Atari800 2.0.3 and a SpartaDOS formated image connected as D1. I can't seem to figure out how to copy ARCCLOCK.SYS to the image from the cartridge? thanks again. To access files on the cartridge, do a "COPY CAR:ARCCLOCK.SYS D1:ARCCLOCK.SYS". This is assuming the emulator works as the real machine does. Stephen Anderson

Awesome! Another great use for my 1MB cart. I may have to buy a few more. I want to keep SDX 4.41 on one, as I got a R-Time 8 clone cart. I have the adapter for my 130XE, lets me use both carts at the same time and gives me a PBI bus. Stephen Anderson

It is a wonderful game. I have actually beat all 100 levels. Super OX mode it beyond insane. I am only at level 17 or so! His next installment, GridRunner +++ (no word on official name) should be out very soon. I've seen it in action, it looks great. Stephen Anderson

I got a 16K 400 with a real keyboard and a 410 recorder back in 82. I got a 1050 sometime around 85, added the US Doubler and a 130XE in 88. Stephen Anderson

Cool mod. What are you using for the thumbstick? Stephen Anderson

What are your favorite 8-bit games?
Stephen replied to accousticguitar's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
A game I spent far too many hours playing was Swat. Stephen Anderson -
Amazing work! Such a shame we didn't get games like this when the Atari's were still on the shelves. Stephen Anderson

Good read - thanks for the link. Stephen Anderson

Ohh!, I am highly interested too! Please add me to betatesters... :-) I like your decision for an a8 tracker running on a8. Especially because i know you would take care of hardsynth method properly implemented. I'm also interested in this, but I have no musical ability. All I could do is test it and see if it crashes or uses extended memory (I have a 320KB 130XE). Stephen Anderson

Great progress! I can't awit to try this. Stephen Anderson

I agree - I would certainly buy both. Stephen Anderson

Really? I think it looks amazing considering the machine it is running on. I mean especially when compared to livewire Stephen Anderson

I don't really care for it, but the only other choice for 80 column ANSI is FlickerTerm. DrClu will be able to help you with either program - he is also an 800 user. I'll direct him to the thread for you. Stephen Anderson

Looks good. Any available? Stephen Anderson
