  1. Yeah - all in screwing the backers of the VCS really hard and dry. Fanboys seem to love it.
  2. Word on the street is he's a pretty kick ass dude!
  3. I love seeing more and more of these 1088 boards come to life
  4. I have not yet received the latest issue (US). I'll let you know when it shows up.
  5. Sorry - but that sound is awful. I really heard nothing wrong with the original.
  6. Nah - I'm sure some fuckwad (faicwad maybe - I am not good at spelling) will come here and talk down to us, about how we need to use our $4,000 in professional equipment (trinkets) and a 3 hour process to get things just right. Video is a serious business after all.
  7. Wow - this will end up making WAY more money than investing in their pathetic penny stock! Perhaps I should drop my entire $2400 stimulus check on this. What could possibly go wrong?
  8. You're cranking these NTSC fixes out! Thanks for doing this and sharing them.
  9. You don't suffer from a "call it as you see it" syndrome. You have a piss poor attitude and act like you are above everyone. Common terms describing people with this syndrome are "prick", "asshole", etc.
  10. That's what I love about running via VBXE too - ANTIC DMA is off so everything gets that nice 30% speed boost.
  11. Excellent! The more VBXE support, the better.
  12. Why not take it all the way back to original - 8kB of RAM and CTIA? Wouldn't want to run anything more advanced than was out in 1979 then
  13. Nice. Unfortunately, the metal trim piece on mine is partially delaminated and curved. I'd love to fix that at some point.
  14. Are these still going only to devs, or are we moving down the list on order of our pre-orders yet?
  15. Yeah - the hardware fix previously mentioned, is additional hardware that can be used to fix the "defective" GTIA in-situ.
  16. Thanks. Had an 8-bit since 1982 and am still learning new stuff all the time. Fascinating little machines they are!
  17. I think this is the 1st time I've ever seen that GTIA bug in a non PAL machine (most 800 XEs had the bad GTIA).
  18. Uh-oh, the ACP picture should be showing a smooth graduation of 16 luminance values for each of the 16 rows. Wonder if that can be corrected? This is a screenshot from my Eclaire board, excuse the crazy saturation.
  19. That settles it then - awesome little upscaler!
  20. Yeah (unofficial though). The "slack much" was very much meant in jest, sorry if it didn't come across that way. The story I remember about the Nuon port, is a worker at VM Labs did the port in a weekend as proof of concept of how easily the system could be coded. I'm not sure how well it ran or even if I ever got it working on my N-501. Anyhow, here's a link with information if you are interested. http://www.nuon-dome.com/doom.html

Wow. This is why I need to not post after such long days at work. Probably also explains why I have always been too dumb to play chess.
  22. I was going to also ask Flicker Term is my "go to" test for any upscaler. I personally have not ran across one that makes the underscore characters look proper (__________), rather than (_-_-_-_-_-_).

Again - apologies if off topic. Courtesy of Kevin Savetz, here is Carol Shaw's 2600 Chess source code: https://archive.org/details/VCScheckersA/page/n15/mode/2up Original post -
