Colleen Floating Point Routines and Colleen Calculator source code
Stephen replied to Savetz's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Awesome - what a talented coder! -
I don't see the Nuon port. Slack much?
-
Don't forget awesome box art, translucent coloured shells, and for the super duper ballz-out editions, a comic book.
-
Nice stack of 810s, 410, and 830
-
Holy shit - that is just amazing. Can you imagine seeing these images in 1979? Hardware was certainly capable.

A virtual Atari party (via streaming video service) would be awesome if it weren't for the pesky timezones

I hate how everything went 16:9 on computers. Worst aspect ratio ever for doing anything useful (coding, etc.) Only good for watching movies.

Isn't it great when a long dead thread comes back with new info?

PBTOOLS - A pair of utilities to manipulate a PERCOM block.
Stephen replied to tschak909's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Why you do you care so much happens after you are dead? I'm quite sure it won't affect you one way or another because you'll be f*ing dead. -
2nd vote for ANTIC.

Why is physical software so expensive?
Stephen replied to TheRaven81's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
And full modem emulation. -
Awesome - thanks everyone on the team for the continued work on this!

Best emulation setup for development?
Stephen replied to Tickled_Pink's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
WUDSN plugin for Eclipse using MADS assembler, Altirra for emulator. -
Well, we have one decent saturated red, and a good 100 blues

We'll not get a similar port to Galagon given that it uses a few hundred MHz ARM co-processor and we don't have something like that for the A8. We coould use the 10+ year old VBXE but that seems to be a verboten upgrade to use, let alone even talk about. What we currently have, is https://atariage.com/forums/topic/296152-another-galaga-thread

1200XL cartridge port copper tongue... thing

That is the exact response I have to all of your posts - you do have some self awareness -
1200XL cartridge port copper tongue... thing
Stephen replied to jamm's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Don't you DARE remove that metal piece from your 1200XL either. That would be more damaging than say - modifying the vaulted 800's power LED into a switch. Any alteration to the original case is an abomination and should be punished. Gotta keep these trinkets original you know! -
BIT3/FullView card INOPERABLE on A800/Incognito...
Stephen replied to Faicuai's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Real damn shame - it should have been the equivalent (in expandability) of the Apple II, but overall obviously a much more powerful machine. -
I love it. One of the first things I downloaded when I got my XM301 was a "stereo" song that played a Beetles tune (I think the song was Yesterday). It used Pokey and the internal speaker, and I remember it turned off the screen but the background was green. The sound quality on these is so much better - the Beetles tune was mostly just a beeper.

Curious to know what the issue is. My 800 with Incognito was like that and since I didn't have time to diagnose it before attending VCFMW, I installed the super colour card in it which fixed it.

BIT3/FullView card INOPERABLE on A800/Incognito...
Stephen replied to Faicuai's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Sorry - most of the last 10 months work has been kicking my ass something fierce. Transmission rebuild on my fun car has been stalled for a solid 2 years I'm starting to get un-burried however, hoping to start clearing out a back log of projects, and Atari stuff usually bubbles to top priority. -
It should - I know I've viewd ANSI files with it before and am pretty sure I recall doing some watching some small animations with it.

Unicorns season: Prince of Persia for the A8!
Stephen replied to rensoup's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
Don't worry about it! Plenty of games on the 64-bit powerhouse known as Jaguar has 7-10fps framerates In all seriousness, that does look awesome. How did you implement the frame counter BTW? -
BIT3/FullView card INOPERABLE on A800/Incognito...
Stephen replied to Faicuai's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
While I have 2 BIT3 cards, both are broken. One I bought defective, the other I got and it has no attached cables. While I have 2 800s, one with Incognito and one without, the one without is also not in a working state so I have effectively zero to contribute I suppose I should at some point get the other 800 working. -
Isn't there a "fast mode" which reads the paddles per scanline (or every 2nd scanline)?
