Now regarding Włóczykij I never understand why they used that dark blue instead of a more real wood like dark brown unless they wanted to have a sort of 'alternate world' looking ... Or maybe I do and that is because of what i read some years ago that is on those days in poland most of the people only had black&white TVs and/or those green phospor monitors but still isn't an excuse because the at least the 16 colours table numbers were available everywhere even on the A8's own computer guides that they could perhaps only be mistaked on the luminances . But's that's O.K. and here's a quicky PAINT to have dark brown instead: And if it was me I even, perhaps, had prefered a sort of light green instead of that yellow but here is maybe more a question of taste and it gets better the yellow on some of those above grounds small icons be more distinguishables. But just and idea would be to have A DLI(s) so that the clouds could had been light gray and white though I don't have the complete level map to prove but they could also put them more to the top and turn it possible. If this would be possible across the level(s) map than here's how it would look like: Problems solved so that I can now move to other that are real and todays stuff ...

O.K. saw the PFs on emulator and it seems it's using charmode but for some strange reason PF2 and PF3 are the two the same colour that is the darkest luminance: (32). Why? I really don't get why but here's a quick using more my likes colours/luminances and have these two different where on rocks I have brown and other for bricks I went into a red pink 'British red bricks sort of' (a quicky G2F with after just PAINT drop of PMGs that are unchanged): But this way I didn't like it much because dark red and dark brown seemed almost similar and had also not possibility to have differences on the top panel even with DLis because there was chars clash between PF2 and PF3 so I did bit-pair |00| (the middle luminance) <-> bit-pair |11| and is looking, in my humble opinion much better. Now rocks and some other gfxs now are totally different colouring/appearance VS the bricks and it also turned possible DLIs and PF2&PF3 at the top panel with our guy be the same/similar colours as in-game :

O.k. forget as it seems that flying and others seem to be also hardware sprites then is simple 2PMGs multicolour per line that are our guy and one enemy. But I still am only seeing 3colours more black that is the BAK colour register. If all moving guys are PMGs then just stones, walls, bricks, arrows and not much more gfxs are for sure fiting in a single charset so if it isn't using charmode GR.12/ANTIC4 is a waste of possibility that maybe because of the top panel that together with the playing are wouldn't fit in a single charset? But why not a charset for each? And why not DLI to have panel and playing area also different colour(s)? Different colours choose would make possible a good looking in using PF3 5th colour on some gfxs like also some enemys that are also PMGs and has almost/some of their colours equal to backs gfxs ones that with a restricted number of them possible per line but 128 available to use on all the screen is a totally waste of the A8 available resources. Wlockij or whatever name is that I couldn't never wrote without going out to see shows better the possible charmode A8 5colour and some guys PMGs though still not perfect and the gfxs PFs colours could had been others better... I may do some mockups for Smus or even the two on the weekend even if you guys will no ask me to do it .

Yes that is for sure because of the flying/phantom that is a software sprite to not have clashes over walls then they couldn't have PF3 5th colour but you could had this on on platforms/bricks though it for sure would need other choosing of the PFs colours ...Do you want me to waste my precious time to show would it could look like and/or if was me?

Spellbinder wasn't already released because it's for the Flop disc magazine and was to come in 1st or 2nd week of April that for some reason that I don't know had a delay. When Flop will be released you'll all have the game ...

Ah I see Mariusz that is after loading and not before the main game starts to load. I prefer and never thought of it. But after load can't you have the two: gap and keypress?

And I'm right now at my door, the phone already 'said' it has low battery but also I need to eat and is more than time for dinner so you can finally be happy that, at least in the next hour or so I will and can't say anything more in this topic and on all the others . P.s.- I said "it has low batery" but maybe I'm also in low charge so charging dinner time now...

People may think that can't makes things to all allways agree but maybe there's a solution...Like I said on other topic I'm not into the need of pressing a key and that is because in the old days that didn't happen. Point me a game where that happened because I can't remember of any. And I'm talking about 'real' loading screens that is when showing while the loading process is going on. My idea and what I tried to convince coders right from my 1st game was/is having always a loading screen because I was jealous that in the old days my ZXs/C64s friends have them and we on A8 almost all times didn't. The reasons for this are various and maybe well known or you didn't bother to think about it but in my opinion they were: -> Tape version: The A8 tape loading process is so size of tape consuming that a 5min game on others on A8 goes to 3x or 4x more. Now imagine with the picture? And also the price of 60mins or even 90mins tape when others could normally go well on a 20mins (2sides x 10mins) and some games even on 2x5mins. How much would increase the price and was it profitable and more in a small users market like the A8. -> Disc: The size of a normal type A8 formated disc. -> On the two versions: Regarding the size of the A8 community back then and the own way of we to need to have the loading screens without any DLIs makes them the only way possible is to have them in 4colours only GR.15 bitmap mode and like me is doing now that is adding some but not much more colours is by adding the PMGs but that wasn't too much known on the past, G2F didn't existed and again number of users were so small that it wasn't really to bother not only for loading screens but also for the in-game like we all know on all all those 'sh..' releases that we always got . And what bad and uggly 4colours conversions we got when there was a loading screen... And what troubles and how much time and possible not payment had, maybe usually the original C64 artists to get the A8 picture ? Maybe some other reasons maybe valid and I'm not, at least by now, remember of anyother now... But to return and finishing my point of view and idea is why not have on the code a 3 or 4secs showing the screen and then start the loading with, like now, the screen shown while loading? Is this enough and would apply to all be happy and see my beautifull creations/stollen/conversions ? If this isn't enough then have this and for people that can't wait to play the game and/or don't like my work also have a 'press any key to continue' possibility. P.s.- But and why people don't choose the .atr if they want to see and have these pictures screens seen while loading instead of the .xex? Today all these games are for disc version, don't take all that too much time and everyone can always set the emulators to pass/emulate or not the real time the loading takes. Oops... I think that I wrote too too much but sorry I am with a mobile phone and were 15mins train travel, 15mins waiting and same traveling on 1st bus and same 5 more 5 on the 2nd one and had to do some to pass the time ... Will any here ever read all I wrote?

The .atr you can see the loading picture but the .xex is so quickly and used on todays emulators that for this and any other game you're almost instantly on the presentation/credits screen, isn't it?

I'm almost sure it was Cadbury and was a little out of the main city. It was in 92 and I remember that I was walking and walking to find a store to buy some A8 games that wasn't big, maybe small where I couldn't find a dozen of budget tapes and where I first find and see the Hi-Tec games, shame those pictures on the boxes hasn't nothing to do with the A8 version . I think that some minuter after the factory I got to the store and If I'm not mistaken it was with just one guy, a Pakistan or other nationality of that side of the world. -
The screen isn't/wasn't supposed to be like this but I am waiting for Mariusz to know why there aren't the brown above on some of those gfxs that are now the dark gray as it uses the same PMGs as the bottom logo starting at the same xPos so there's no DLIs to be used while loading. Thanks. Please see if with your always good taste you can also get better colours on the periscope screen if there are... I always thought jealous of this screen had the guy on the C64 version but not on A8. Even with ours more limited PMGs it would had been possible. Yes, I know it's not for you and me that could only design him but maybe I can dream that one day some coder put him there. -
That is why I sometimes also post similar text. Indeed, and in my case, I am about 2/3 or even 3/4 of a day unable to get to the P.C. because I'm out of home or I'm too lazy to get out of the bed or I simply didn't paid the month web computer connection bill ... P.s.- At the time I am posting this the cats picture number of downloads is winning by 3 vs 2. It seems, like on YouTube and social weblinks, A8 users also like/prefer cats and think they're sweet, lovely, pretty,...

And me I have to say that it look/will look even better because that is a looking colours NTSC not updated to what it should be/look... This one have something that goes ahead of anything ever done on A8 but I can't say more by now... -

I'm just thinking like it was on old times and like I said that never had any of those new/modern devices then maybe like there is an automatic detection for PAL vs NTSC then maybe it could also detect if there is one of those devices that would be needed to press a key on those cases.I just put my opinion that is from one person that after all these years still think 'Old School way' but of course the coder knows how and has the last decision...
