Load G2f Load picture First you see ALL(BMP+PMG) Than show only BMP (it's 160 resol.) - how will you create all that hire. white pixels in the tower on your right and blak with with on the left, near the helicopter) ALT-Z - You have the 160 mode (4Pfs+backgr.) Than only PMG (see the place they are, and that it's not all the tower). ALT-z you have the PMs. only backgr. and P0. Return to begining and give me reason. José Pereira.   3. It's me again. What see in this picture, two modes in all horizontal range, could become: Like here 160 resol. - Do all the screen design in 5 colours. Put a Ninja and an enemy shape in the other mode (320 resol.) Do sprites with all the sizes and priorities available. If it's possible to do in all vertical lines (or on what line numbers?) or if you could move the Ninja and enemy bodys in a convenient speed (interrupting change between the two resolutions) are another thing.   5. I know there was something very strange with this picture: I see it now with G2F. Follow my steps: First look - DLI on that lines (PFs. in Hi-resol.) and sprites to put colour But yes and no!... 1st - Turn in G2F to only BMP. You see all the lines in 160 resol. Zoom mode, it's the same PF0/1/2/3(Blue)+Backgr. 2nd - Now put in only PMG. Enter Zoom mode. What you see on top the sprites are 4Missiles+2Players. But PFs. only Bakr.+P0 on this lines, it in Hi-resol. 3rd - Return to ALL (BMP+PMG) - Enter in Zoom mode - put arrow on that lines - The same PMs. BUT ONLY BACKGR.+PF.0. This lines are from Y32 to Y55 (3 normal Gr.0, 1 and 12(ANTIC 4)).WHICH LINES ARE THE BAD LINES? NOW WHAT YOU SAY ON THIS. IT's TWO IN RESOL. IN SAME PLACES, FROM LEFT TO RIGHT, IN ALL THE HORIZONTAL LINES. IF THIS WHAT IT SEEMS;AND IT IS. I GET THE SAME RUNNING ON ATARI800WINPLUS EMULATOR. WILL THIS BE POSSIBLE FOR ALL THE SCREEN? (Probably not put onbackground) I don't have the possibility to try G2f today (I'm now in a public free acess Internet place). Only tomorrow I have my computer back. If I understand you: In zoom mode put in backg. colour (Q/W) And it's that three keys I use to change the PMs. (let's see if I understand the three commands here).   10. Ok. Forget GTIA BUG But see this screen I put four sprite, from up to down, the idea is create another four in the second vertival cell and so on, all using sprites. Interrupt between them. Is it or not possible? And now, please help me. I still cannot underst How I can change sprites shapes. I Get rectangules, but if I want to erase some of their pixels, or create more (in their cells limit, of course), how? I try in zoom mode, but sometimes i can, sometimes not (i´ve been trying to use Pfs to change the PM pixels, but I think this depends of the PMs priorities. So, please explain me, once and for all how can I erase the pixels or put more of PMs. I'm getting MAD.   11. No, I dicover now. It's a DLI on that lines that change to Hi-resol. (middle lines of the tower are Hi-resol.), so middle part of the tower's graphics are PMs. But, can it be possible to do the screen with players and interrupt them? Also what is the size the normal area you see above of Hi-resol, from what x to x1, and the place for other two resol. (the GTIA BUG)? José Pereira.
  12. He's talking about the GTIA bug, I think... But having 80, 320, 160 (by this way on screen). Than use PMs to Overlay, underlay and overlap. But you can create the sprites, like background, software sprites (you this on the T.V. example). Than create the Players (5 players - 5 colours). Each cell (8 horizontalx8vertical) could have 2 Players (2 colours) + 1 colour Hiresol. + backgr. colour. So, in first vertical line, you can have all Players and between combinations possible between them. Second vertical cell the other 2 sprites+PF Hi-Resol. colour+Backg. (if first vertical cell have p0/P1 than second vertical cell on the same line will be P2/P3). From 3rd/4rd cell you have to interrupt. Taking the LN example: Playing area - 30 Hiresol. Gr.0 characters - Players normal size=2 charcters Hi-resol. --» Need at least 6 interrupts 2 original cells/Int/2/I/2/I/2/I/2/I/2/I/2/I/last vetical cell(only 1 cell left) Status area - On the right - See screens above - 160 resol. - like on C64 - (enemy wounds, weapons,...) Bottom - simple DLI - create the bottom status - 160 C64 like. But this gets us to another problem: HOW WILL YOU GET AWAY FROM BAD LINES: 0,8,16 (to interrupt the PMs. in the playing area) SOMEONE CAN SHOW AND SAY, HOW TO PASS OVER THIS? Another picture I always know, but never remember when I was in the Forum. This is from Fandal Demos. If you see the picture, you see some problems on the screen with pixels in Hi-res. And if you take to emulator: You get two kind of Hi-resolut.: On the right, near the tower. On the left - under the helicoter - it's Ninja Sprite in Hi-resol. masked with with colour cell. This is the real picture I get with the emul A800win plus: In Fandal site you don't have the name of the author. The image was done with G2F. This is certain. But how it is there Hi-resol. in two places. Someone can see the program and try to find? Or Fandal remmember or know who done this? José Pereira.

  14. Yes, I read that. This is what we do with G2F. This is what I said, about do a version like ZX or CPC. To move the Ninja, for example you have to move that cells, like software sprites and with that sprite movement also. I think I am right! Have the two resolutions in the same place, creating Ninja and enemy as Sprites in hi-resol. and all the other PF in 160, probably, almost certain, it's not possible. José Pereira.
  15. I think I'm getting there. I create P2 double size and put where I want. Then create 2 diferent P0 quadruple size (off course they are in 2 different lines). But, I choose priority0 on that lines. I get large rectangules outside the area I want, so I try to change pixel by pixel, that they are P2 with PF2/3 and background to get overlap colours and the same to P0. But I can´t do. I try on zoom mode. I try to colour the sprite places to change with PF, but because P0 are above PF2/3 (I think...), I cannot do nothing. So, I think the solution is in what I read in HELP. X,O,... But, on zoom, I key 1 (P0) and than, how to erase, sprite. It semms a little dificult for you to understand. If some of you could put here a screen and step by step show me how you create some example (what keys, etç,...) and how to erase or pu more pixels in the respective sprite area. I'm mad with this. I have some screens of LN changed with DLIs. Correct PFs. to have Ninja as PF0 (Black), sometimes I have to spent many, many time erase and do again with correct PF to overlap correspondent sprites (other lines with other priorities), correct use of PF3. I know in most of LN screens where to put sprites, their sizes and priorities. Today for example I redone 1st screen of Level 5. I think it's good, but now I have to use sprites. If I cannot understand, once and for all, I cannot go much more further. My timer, today was 2 hours on that screen. Change between some Pfs, Change some PFs to background colour to get sprite colour on priority 4. Also on bottom I put PF colours of trees to create here overlap colours with priority 0. Allmost all done, I sprites? Nothing. I'm totally MAD, CRAZY. AM I STUPID? IF ALL ELSE DO; WHY I DON'T? José Pereira.
  16. Just read now DE RE ATARI, in PMs. section. Where do you see that in the book? All I know is that I can get a kind of PM Hi-resol., if you put one in Pfs. (Gr.0 or/and , like on G2F. But here the screen will be in Hi-resol. So, in LN, you'll get a ZX/CPC screens like. You are saying other thing, please explain us? José Pereira.

  19. I understand how to put DLIs, PFs. changes, change pixels and so on. But I'm always stuck on PM Edit. Someone can explain me how? I want to use the four sprites, in line 0 until 100 In Edit PMG, first select Pm0 colour, then select the line 0 and range 100. Ok! Then FILL. I have to do eachone, or I can select the four sprite colours if they are on the same range? I understand the widht and priorities, select them and then CHANGE. But the real problem is how I can create sprite pixels. Can you tell me with a screen as example, how would you create the 4 or 5 Players? And if you create five in range from 0 to 100. Then how to do to get more 4 or the 5th sprite in more 50 lines range. (Of course, you could have Sprite 1 from 0 to 239 line) I only get a sprite design one time, sometimes I get the all sprite cell coloured, and sometimes nothing? If I do once, a week or two ago, how I have tryind this by 2days and nothing? Am I stupid or what? Probably a little dificult to understand. Simply, attach a picture, and example some sprite ideas to under/overlay or overlap. Then, say sprite by sprite, the lines, range, colour, CHANGE; FILL, and so on, like ik you was on G2F.   22. Forget this OLIVETTI pictures. I saw now in old-computers. It had only 2 resol. (320 and 640 - and only 4 colours - it says CGA and only a sound generator). By the way, now see this: What you see on this picture: One screen from the ZX LN1 unreleased version. On Ninja's walkthrought, you saw a kind of artefact. A kind of green and red. I don't remember that days, in all, my friends ZXs. But ZX didn't had artefact or had? It remembers A8 games, like Molecule Man, Amaroute and Head Over Heels... Another thing I have in mind, it's that, probably could exist a black and white A8 version. And in this way, a simple port from ZX could exist. And this make sense. No ZX and no A8 versions.
