  1. Hi. I have to send you all a thank you so bigger so bigger for all you're doing for me on the last hours. Indeed your help was/is so good that things seem to come into a so happy end that in a day or two we, indeed you, should end and after that I must continue my life beeeing the same guy as always. i'll post you soon this.   2. Sorry to post this and you guys know me for so many years. I just don't know how to start or perhaps I know but while writing it's still not posted and i can still not send it. I am batling for a long time with personal life problems and been for some time living in the streets because a certain person form my family got the money, gold, house,... things I was supposed to get after my grandparents died. I always was a nice, friendly and a honest guy. I never had problems with police, drugs,... anything. I lived for the work, my pets and never thought that while this my uncles, the only family ones I had were geting the things from my grandparents. I never saw the bank account, nothing, untill they died. The house was supposed to be for me while my uncle (brother of my mom) would got the money so was all ok. But my grandmother died suddenly and it was never written so he did things the way he wanted: some bucks, little for me and some terrains in the North of Portugal, small ones that has no value (that kind of stuff you can see on tv about here the fires that are that part inside the center north of Portugal where almost no one live and the little ones are people of 80s and 90s years old). I suddenly were put out of home with little female dog almost at the same time I had lost the job I had for years and divorced. I had to go out and lived for about 2years on a little space down a building. At this same time I had problems with my right arm that never got better again. I can write and do things but can't get it much up nor kept it on the air or much up. I also after my parents died never got again to the dentist because I had fear so after all these years my mouth is totally destroyed and no one gives me a job. I have some social security help but these small bucks I earn go all to pay the rent and it sometimes isn't enough. I could get now a medicine help free for the teeth but is only for March next year. Problem is that after I had a small house with small rent I had to leave that place and find other one. Problem is that here on Lisbon the rents are higher and higher every day because of tourism, rich people buying,... even Madonna, Cantona,... are buying here so little people just don't have the right to have a home. Even people working most of what they get are for the house, if they're not two like a couple it's not enough. I am now living in a small room inside a house with many others paying a rent of 250€ while I receive 180€ from public administration and 140€ from other one that makes 320€ so I get for me 70€ that 20€ are for the transports (bus, metro,...) to go out getting food and stuff from social places for free. I had to stop paying internet at my room computer and my phone is so old that I can't even post here with it and I'm now on a public plave where I go all days Monday to Friday doing the stuff for you and posting. I recently posted on some websites here about working on hotels/residentals entry, with old people houses, garages,... just to have food, a room to sleep for free so that this way at least the 180€ are all free for me but untill now only a single one answered and for a week I'm still waiting a last call to go there and see. Today is 1st day of the Month and I couldn't pay the transports so I'm walking and trying for the the first time get inside them without paying. One of these days I'll receive that 140€ help for the rent but still missing the rest and while I not receive the others I just can't pay to room owner. Last Months the same because when I got one and don't have the rest so that when i receive one I buy some things to me like food, cleaning stuff, transports,... so I'm now in the last 3Months with a debt for the room owner of 1 and 1/2 of rent and he says that he just can't can't kept me there for more time than a week. I found an old friend from my school that is trying to find and a place for me but by now isn't here at Lisbon so I have to at least wait for the end of the Month and problem is that I don't have this time. My landlord said I have untill end of next week to pay or I'll be out. I never went to the streets asking people for money, stealing and doing strange things. I just don't know how to so I'm here because is sometimes best to talk to people we never meat than others. I'm so ashamed to be here posting this after all this years and probably some of you also have this kind of problems or other type but if some of you could help even at least a single coin or two perhaps I could get at least this Month have the place to rest and still went here to do the A8 stuff. I don't want you to feed me but just to help with something you can and isn't for nothing more than the rent and paying the transports. Believe me my friends that i'm not lying or I wouldn't be here posting all this long letter that I'm doing for more than a hour stoping from time to time and still thinking if I'll posting it or not. Sorry guys but that's ok and I'll don't judge nor be against anyone after this and any that will not help. I don't even know if this allowed to post here... I couln't resist to post this @rensoup work at Lemon64 ChitChat forum and they aren't receiving it bad 😃👍 recently they remembered Nebulus (that I presented here a similar solution as in subHunter with a Player over each sprite that are in tower 4enemys per line more the Missiles in 5th Player mode to our guy but different and using 2 or 3Players on the Submarine then other 2 more 5th Player per 2 or 3fishes per line on the undersea level(s): https://www.lemon64.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=886866#886866 And, of course that game should be and only need is a Bitmap ModeE/GR.15 3colours+black... 👍
  4. I asked @rensoup to have our submarine in white and grays just because it makes more sense beeing totally different than all the enemys that are 'coloured' but I also show on the video that we can move it freely all way around the screen: 👍

  7. Oh God! What joy is to play that simple stuff with some things and jumping robot with some line shots. P.s.- Sorry to the authors (and I didn't remember who and didn't want to go and see so that I probably wouldn't post this ) but I don't see a great gameplay there and a clean sky with small soft sprites or a single large end large soft sprite just to have something on-screen... And if I remember it correctly is just a single level and game ends, right? I don't see gameplay and the gfxs/looking also helps. Is there anything of these there?

  9. @Emkay: If you aren't how you are perhaps people could add you to some of the messages/talkings we're having of coming games... Perhaps I could add you to ours Prince of Persia conversation but you for sure wouldn't be quiet and we need peace and really do our work and when it'll be then all can see. I can add you and in a first one of your usual posting I just remove you from there? OR I can add you there and you have 24hours to read all and then 'Boom' you're out of there? I really can't understand... 😶
  10. Didn't you know or don't you want to be true in what you say? It was said here by the author that he had some serious personal problems and had to stop but still want to go with it and was like me, him and MrFish (with some more guys) were doing things.

Probably a mode like GR.1 and 2 that having 64chars distributed by PF0->PF3 could also had GR.12/13 (Antic4/5) also with 64chars and BAK/PF0/PF1 common then PF2/PF3/PF4/PF5 that'll be 7 + 8colours of 8PMGs makes 15 and an independant Border colour on the 2:1 ratio modes (that A8 misses and other machines not) and 'et voilá' 16colours registers. Probably 64chars aren't great (even 128chars aren't) but with multiple charsets DLIs it would be workable and I'll prefer than like is having less colours/registers. Also Hi-res modes, at least the charmode ones have PF1/PF2 inverse could had at least another 2 like PF0/PF3 inverse or something similar...

Because of @rensoup talkings on the Sub Hunter thread: Priority_0 gives OR(ings) on PMGs over certain PFs colours so works like this (using charmodes Antic4 and/or 5): -> PM0 over BAK = PM0 colour; " " PF0 = PM0 OR PF0 colour; " " PF1 = PM1 OR PF1 colour; -> PM1 over BAK = PM1 colour; " " PF0 = PM1 OR PF0 colour; " " PF1 = PM1 OR PF1 colour; -> PM2 over BAK = PM2 colour; " " PF2 = PM2 OR PF2 colour; " " PF3 = PM2 OR PF3 colour; -> PM3 over BAK = PM3 colour; " " PF2 = PM3 OR PF2 colour; " " PF3 = PM3 OR PF3 colour; This way you can have this 12colours more the 5 (BAK/PF0/PF1/PF2/PF3) makes 17colours per scanline possible. If you take of the M (Missiles off) and use only P (Players) is still the same but the mIssiles acts as the 'so called' 5th Player and take PF3 colour. This way the Missiles themselves doesn't OR anything but if P2 or P3 goes over them it'll OR them because they're be considered as PF3 colour. On Mode D and E bitmap modes this same thing happens but you don't have PF3 but you can still OR it if you have the Missiles as 5th Player and P2/P3 OR them. Also if you go to PMGs multicolour mode that is PM0 OR PM1 and PM2 OR PM3 to above you'll have to add: -> PM0 OR PM1 over BAK: PM0 OR PM1 colour; " " PF0: (PM0 OR PM1) OR PF0 colour; " " PF1: (PM0 OR PM1) OR PF1 colour; -> PM2 OR PM3 over BAK: PM2 OR PM3 colour; " " PF2: (PM2 OR PM3) OR PF2 colour; " " PF3: (PM2 OR PM3) OR PF3 colour; This way to 17colours above we'll add more 6colours and that is why you may have read that A8 can display maximum of 23colours per scanline.   13. Now you also think for others and that others take ideas from others and so on and on and on... NO! It was after several talkings with Popmilo in particular that I came with that and is why he from times to times talk here about Interleaved charsets and mention my name. And NO! I didn't take it from TMR or any other just because I don't know nor on that time, years ago I was seeing but also today of others. In C64 particular case, like on A8, I know that some games use several charsets (like C64 driving games road/sides gfxs and other mountains/sky,...) because it's trivial that it doesn't fit all on a single charset. What I came up with was because if you have a charset per 3 or 4 charlines is good but then if a soft sprites goes out of a charset and enters the other? You'll have 2 different charsets with that sprite but then other 2 without so you're wasting resources. In a 4 Interleaved charsets and a 3x3 chars soft sprite (4x4 with shifting moving 4ways) each charset only use 4chars per sprite so 6sprites takes only 24chars on each charset. If you have 1charset per 3 or 4charlines then those same 6sprites could waste 96chars if they're in a single charset. Get it? P.s.- I don't know if I was the first on A8 or any other computer but don't remember of anyone ever posted it here (you're also included ). But just because you said what games use the Interleaved charset (A8 or C64)? Now I want to know so can you please inform me? Thanks.

  15. Don't agree and the gfxs are really really nice so why not? Without trying we'll never know . It's like I said: But this 4Players are like C64 12pixels wide, next to do from me is having them 9pixels that would be 2chars + 1 for shifiting and 2chars high so is 3x3 chars (including shifting) per each instead of 16chars. In a simple counting: 4 x 16chars = 64chars while 7 x 9chars = 63chars. And I have some other/more ideas...
  16. This part with with at least 4Players moving 4ways/8ways and PMGs over crossing the different parallax scolling zones using Prior_0 rensoup already did so isn't all left to do...

If he can get sprites moving as soft sprites on the different parallax scrolling zones adding the PMGs like we already did then don't worry for clashes becauses all the different colours zones/PFs DLIs you see there we're done/choosed in a way that the Oring will be with good results and no clashes. What changes DLIs colours are BAK and PF0 while on all the playing area PF1 is always white and PF2 is always dark gray. Then there's no PF3 so there is no clash (and the reason I first did it using Bitmap mode GR.15 😉). For example: -> 2sprites: one use P2 and the other P3 so is their Player colour + Oring PF2 (because PF2 is always a gray it's possible a sprite any colour more a light luminance of it) + PF1 white; -> Other 2sprites: one use P0 and the other use P1 so is their Player colour + Oring PF1 (that is always white) + PF1 white (because PF1 is always a white it's possible a sprite any colour more the lightest luminance of it) + PF1 white; -> And there's still the Missiles that if combined all the 4 taking PF3 colour can be 1 more sprite: PF1 white + PF2 dark gray + Missiles PF3 a light gray then 3colours can be used on the players submarine; -> Its shots can be like PF1 white + Pf2 dark gray without any PMGs; -> (...) So having things resolved and less sized sprites... I'm in full-time contact with rensoup so don't worry that something will come in 😃... 👍
  18. 🙄 I didn't know that was possible to snow inside the sea 🤣. Seriously talking, on particular parallax scrolling zones, the two you have now (showing red lines), I would suggest you change to my proposal (showing green lines): I'll also soon send you that top 2charlines area pixels redone better, because, as all can see, doesn't look good but also some other small fixes 'around'...

Also from what I remember back then I was thinking in having 1st game screen, te one with the logo and credits text more the in-game top and bottom status in 40Bytes wide using Antic4 charmode then in-game that is 16charlines = 152scanlines in Bitmap mode because there's plenty of sprites moving on so it'll, for sure, will need multiple charsets and they'll cross all those. Going into Bitmap mode it'll be the solution to not have available chars and for those 3 or 4 parallax scrolling zones on some levels lets say we'll have 3 or 4charsets makes it 3 or 4KBs while in Bitmap it's: 159scanlines x 48Bytes = 7632 / 1024 = +/- 7KBs. that isn't all that much vs charmode. P.s.- And yes, I know that @rensoup don't intend to do the game but if it'll be done in someway that later he or anyone else can use the code for the real game is the best way to go. 👍
  20. That's why back then I went to GR.15 Bitmap mode because there isn't really need for a 5th colour in any of the game different screens/levels. Even if using just soft sprites for the enemys and not all those 'tricks' I was writing here and on my blog for PMGs orings because of the specifics of most of the gfxs mwe can never use a 5th colour, even on enemys because in some areas it'll 'clash' with PF2 that is on the gfxs. Maybe I can find a miracle but doesn't seem in anyway possible and rensoup and I talked and maybe it will not be necessary all the work...
  21. Please use skin colour as a brown/light brown as on original (and is on the picture above). Using pink but the chinese aren't pink but they also aren't that washed-out C64 yellow green or the so light yellow like on CPC. It was one of the criticisms for their version back then but for them is ok because C64 brown is too dark for skin and CPC hasn't really brown. For A8 a light brown like 1C or FC (luminance E probably is also too light/bright). Other than this things are going along nicely.
