  1. Ok of course all know it, what I said is trivial, sorry.
  2. That isn't really a problem. Just throw it over a 320x240 black solid picture so that it'll after has 20 on top and 20 at the bottom while picture shows at the middle. The same could be done for images that horizontally have widths different than 320pixels.
  3. I download the named blue (outside game screens) into Paint and resized it to 50% y coordinates then because now is single scanline I could sucessfully drop it to G2F. It has 126chars 1charset that is good for us.What you must care is that black should be (11) PF3 and the other (11) PF2 is the purple (stairs) but these two are already this way on C64 from the very begining original game that makes sense because it was ported from A8. So it's own colour per char/C64 colourmap purple and black should be ours PF2 & PF3. The blues and white matches ours colbak, colpf0 and colpf1 (00), (01) and (10). Single or double scanline is the same data because the computer knows and displays 1 or 2scanlines when you choose Antic4 or 5. I'll try to post and get you chars tomorrow though in half single scanline mode.
  4. He couldn't go for 40Bytes wide because then he wouldn't have the sides in black but in other colour.I'm not on the computer now but think that BAK register 712 (00) for example on the outside screens is sky blue/DLIs/grays across the screen and would be what you'll see on the sides. He had to use black as PF3 (11) because he need to use it for the ninja (the 4Missiles in 5th Player mode takes PF3 colour).
  5. Forgot to say but you probably already saw it that char $86 data sure is (11111111)x8scanlines, right?
  6. What title screen, the one with Bruce? It's what I said. It hasn't tricks, DLIs,... nothing, a simple GR.15 Bitmap mode in 4colours so that it can be seen while the main game loads. But black isn't BAK (712) but PF0 or PF1 or PF2 (708 or 709 or 710). The BAK on the code is the dark blue so if you on your code have it black you have 2x black + 2colours and all dark blue pixe now black that is why you lack some detaits. Get it?
  7. $86 is for sure a full black (PF3) char. That's the reason why 4 at each side so that playing area is 40Bytes wide. It 'fools' people with black on the sides and the only way he got that aren't BAK but indeed PF3 colour register.
  8. The game at playing area scanlines is for sure in 48Bytes wide mode because PF3 is black and used as 5th Player 4Missiles on the Ninja. Edited: 4 at left and 4 on right sides with char $86 is an all black PF3 one, isn't it?
  9. By the way, who's that girl? I can change Bruce sprite frames to look her and a coder could use that C64 new version... Just an idea.
  10. That would work but, from a first and quick looking, I think not during the loading process because the red/pink seems that'll have to be a re-use of the name PMGs then changing xPos and maybe also width pixels size. I'll try it just for you but, going to weekend so expect it by Monday.
  11. I wasn't too far away so here's the .xex of it: BRUCE LEE Loading screen remaked _1503.xex And the looking on Altirra (Authentic NTSC pallete) that can, of course, can be changed to the correct colours: P.s.- @Wrathchild: I tried to send you the file(s) but you can't be added to the Messenger, maybe you have it full...
  12. EDIT: It's PAL and I don't know how it'll look on NTSC and I'm out now.
  13. Here it is with original exactly pixels/design and that is what I sent to the coder:
  14. It's ok and I may still use the original Datasoft face that is just jdoing a copy&paste...
  15. Though it wasn't acne now thanks to Emkay post Bruce has shaved his chest: it also have some other small changes and I'm now sending it to a coder. If he likes it this is what will be .
  16. Once again and back to disagree with Emkay ... Yes that C64 hasn't the A8 palette but all those colours are too too much colour. The picture must be those blues and white/lightest gray than colour what you have to colour that is game's name and his face. Nothing more is needed and the right side chinese letters are better in the white/lightest gray. The large seen part is the hair and he had a black hair so this is fine like is also the true original like in black Datasoft logo than you have distinct on sides other colours for lines with the credits on the left and chinese letters on the right. The title and the names blue and white/dark gray transition makes them distinct. Because of this two it doesn't make sense like was on original that the 3 contours lines be 3colours and have one as black. It looks much better they be two in blue and the middle one in white/light gray. But I'm making an update that'll I'll post soon... P.s.- @Emkay that isn't acne, Bruce was from a time that men only shaved their faces .
  17. More or less is like this: -> Only PFs: -> Only PMGs: And the result is: I think that looks good and please notice that I'm using the real and the only, the original DataSoft logo (that if you see on most of the packages and on WikiPedia is in black not in blue ...). P.s.- Those squares all together seems almost like the U.S.A. map thought the dither squares are only 40 ...
  18. I'll post other tomorrow changing and have more detailed letters for the Datasoft logo and some more things... Thank you all for.
  19. Maybe there's some more things to redone but is more or less this: And the coder to replace the old with this one, is it in here?
  20. Maybe or not, because I'm not a coder but if I understand you're set to black what? On Loading screen if you set BAK colour register to black you shouldn't. There BAK is the borders like always but here, as you can see, is the dark blue. So, lets say you set BAK to black you then have 2blacks (BAK and the other that is one of PFs: 0 or 1 or 2). This I'm saying I'm sure is or isn't this I'm saying you're problem...
  21. I'm sure there isn't any PMGs on the loading screen, at least on the original version is a Bitmap mode GR.15 with just 4colours.
