Why doesn't Microsoft Flight Simulator simulate plane crashes?
-
I'm gonna say it, I hate Super Mario Kart. The handling is outrageous, the hit detection is awful, and it's just a chore to play. Whoever gave it a 9/10 on IGN needs to be interrogated by the U.N. it's a 4/10 at best. I know most people say Super Circuit is the worst one, but it at least has Wario.

@dj_convoy Well that joke went over my head. ?

Since some people haven't seen the show, I decided to make a sample pack with four episodes. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/8n1wq1tu0xdx4vg/AABtDXlM_lWqoaeYLqLug9q5a?dl=0 I STRONGLY recommend supporting the creators of the show and buying their DVDs.

Beef Jerky is one of the few types of food where the store bought stuff is better than homemade.

I'd say you need new suppliers of jerky, tenderized and properly dehydrated jerky can fall apart in your mouth, any jerky left out in the air or a paper sack may dry out hard as a rock over time. Oil can be added to take the place of water in home made jerky for those who no longer have teeth there are just so many ways to make jerky and so many recipes. Chances are your store bought jerky was a home made recipe at one time, might have some garbage in it to make you want more (MSG) or some moisture added back in, almost all store bought jerky is of lower quality these days... right down to the cut of meat used.

I mentioned that on 7 ups status. It's only a matter of time till Al jumps in with the ban hammer and starts knocking everyone down a peg or two. It's seems people are getting aggressive when others disagree no matter which side of the fence you're on. Quite childish considering we're all supposed to be intelligent adults. I expect this behavior on Facebook but never thought the AA community would act like that...

I find it more sad than interesting that people are egging on the paranoid by saying it's the end of their life because of this virus. Then only to get heated when someone disagrees with their statement. Reading others expressing their fear and panic with ill advised non professional advice isn't all that great either. My two cents...

Did you ever hear the tragedy of Lord Karnage?
I thought not. It's not a story AVGN would tell you. It's a CGR legend. Lord Karnage was a Lord of the retro games, so powerful and so wise he could use Youtube to influence the audience to love retro games... He had such a knowledge of the retro games that he could even get his video games from one guy in Qatar. The dark side of the internet is a pathway to many abilities some consider to be unnatural. He became so powerful... the only thing he was afraid of was losing his audience, which eventually, of course, he did. Unfortunately, he taught his apprentice everything he knew, then his apprentice killed him in his sleep. Ironic, he could save others from death, but not himself.

I don't blame him for not putting anything on YT anymore... Google really cheaps out on ad revenue payments unless it's some obnoxious gameplay streams, a dime a dozen on Twitch. And now the FTC wants to fine YT'ers for having child targeted ads even though it's Google that puts them on. The only way for anyone to get money for making professionally made videos is either through Patron e-begging or VPN ads.

It's kinda sad that almost all of the classic gaming reviewers from the early days of YouTube are gone. And even if they still make stuff, it doesn't have the same feel as their older videos.

Double Dragon or River City Ransom?

Here's a sad fact of the day: 90% of films made before 1929 may be permanently lost.

@GoldLeader That sounds like either Greed or Birth of A Nation. It was probably Greed though since Birth of A Nation isn't really safe for work.

Jazz-Metal, if it doesn't exist, get to working on it already!

IMHO jazz is listening. In composition it's about listening to the movement in the harmony and melody, and how they support each other. In performance it's about listening and reacting to the other musicians in the band. In improvisation it's about listening to where things are going, and what each musician is doing, and how you support that together. It's hard to separate jazz from improvisation - that's been a fundamental aspect of it since its inception. Prog and metal don't typically have as much of an improvisation component, but of course anything can be done. Some bands like Umphrey's McGhee have some heavier songs and certainly improvise, but it's more of a rock context than jazz. Improv alone doesn't make something jazz, nor does more complex harmony.

I was paying Commando on the NES, and it was so unstable, it felt like it was going to fold itself out of existence.

@masschamber Actually the NES port of Commando was done by Capcom themselves, it was the first NES/Famicom game they programmed in-house.

I was looking at the first issue of Electronic Games, and I came across a piece where they were "comparing" Asteroids and Space Invaders. They tried to claim that Midway developed Galaxian and it was a successor to Space Invaders.

considering space invaders and galaxian both say by midway on the cabinet, it isn't that far of a stretch to assume it was a sequel. Like has been said before, this was before you could pop out your phone and find a misleading article on the internet in seconds, then find a more accurate one with a few minutes of searching.

@GoldLeader I like the show, I just think it's funnier if you wait a couple of years in between watching it. Kind of like Family Guy.

@GoldLeader @joeatari1 I too have year-round allergies, but yesterday and today my allergies have been going against the Geneva Convention. My entire face feels pressurized, and I've been wheezing like I've ran 100 miles.

I used to get custom Serum Shots every 2 weeks (I think it was)...I could never tell if anything was getting better or worse. Gave up the shots long ago. Nowadays I do kind of like Zyrtec (or generic equivalents),...Most pills do nothing or very little (Claritin, I could eat like PEZ, for instance and it does absolutely nothing, less than a sugar pill)...People tell me to try Flonase, but I've never known a nasal spray to do anything...

@atari2600land basically it's just another version of Y2K except this time it has something to do with the UTC going back to 1901. I guess whoever created UTC didn't think about the future.

Sad story I heard a couple of years ago, when the demand for goat cheese was spiking: Farmers would breed goats, but remove the offspring directly after birth since the milk was the desired commodity. The request for goat meat was so low that the killed baby goats had to be burned or buried as a whole, not even sold off as dog food.
