  1. I just finished doing 401 jumps (well, 100/401 were done by cheating, but the rest are legit). If you're overweight (like me), out of shape (like me), and have poor endurance (like me), this game is perfect! It will get you sweating and wheezing in no time!
  2. Did someone say... FREE?!? Also, is this going to become the PT of the Switch? Probably not, but download it while you can!
  3. So the CDi is basically a 70s Asian console but released in the 90s? I didn't know that the CDi was this deep when it comes to its software.
  4. I think, console wise, I'm done collecting (apart from two systems, which are pretty rare so I'm not really optimistic I'll find them). Now it's on to getting games!

  5. Looking at the polls right now and it seems to be like a pineapple or no pineapple on pizza argument. I played the Tengen version on an emulator yesterday and I still couldn't get into it, it feels slower and it looks ugly IMO, although it does have a better soundtrack than the Nintendo version.
  6. Not to wage war or anything, but the Dreamcast is almost 22 years old. That's pretty retro IMO.
  7. Jazz-Metal, if it doesn't exist, get to working on it already!

That sounds like it could be awesome. The closest thing I can think of would be Malignant Narcissism by Rush. ✌️

IMHO jazz is listening. In composition it's about listening to the movement in the harmony and melody, and how they support each other.  In performance it's about listening and reacting to the other musicians in the band.  In improvisation it's about listening to where things are going, and what each musician is doing, and how you support that together.  It's hard to separate jazz from improvisation - that's been a fundamental aspect of it since its inception.  Prog and metal don't typically have as much of an improvisation component, but of course anything can be done.  Some bands like Umphrey's McGhee have some heavier songs and certainly improvise, but it's more of a rock context than jazz.  Improv alone doesn't make something jazz, nor does more complex harmony.

  8. The person is now selling it for $199.99. Still too much for an untested item, but better than the original price.
  9. https://www.nintendolife.com/news/2020/06/two_more_nintendo_games_are_coming_to_hamsters_arcade_archives_range There's no release date yet, but when this comes out, I'm definitely going to get Super Punchout alongside Original Punchout (if Burgertime doesn't come out before then)! What are your thoughts on this?
  10. I had no idea it was unknown for 25 years... I have agree with your estimate now. Imagine going to a going out of business sale and finding Odyssey games.
  11. Now, I'm not an Odyssey collector, but I think that number is a little too conservative. I would say something like cheetahmen 2 (around 1,500 to be exact) would be a better comparison, my only reasoning for this is because in 73 (when I'm assuming this came out) I'd assume Magnavox was still confident in the Odyssey. (Note, I'm 90% wrong on my speculation, I just wanted to get my stinky opinion out)
  12. You know, I find it fascinating that Sega made both the first 3D fighting game and the first fighting game in general.

I thought Activision Boxing was the first fighting game

Activision Boxing is certainly one of the first fighting games, but it's not THE first fighting game. https://www.arcade-museum.com/game_detail.php?game_id=8099

  13. The Nintendo version doesn't have Technotris: https://youtu.be/qjUA4LvgRzw
  14. I've played all 3 and I gotta say that the Nintendo version is the best. It controls better than the other two, my only complaint is that the music choices suck. Which one is your favorite?
  15. My cursed listing game got here. Turns out I got Galaxian after all! It's pretty dirty, so I'll have to clean it off with some IPA, but other than that, it looks good! Fun fact: This is the most expensive Famicom I've bought, I've gotten most of my games for $3.
  16. Allergy update: I woke up with phlegm in my throat and my face still feels puffed up, but the weezing is gone!

If I don't have my allergy shots regularly my throat closes up and my uvula swells up.  So basically I can't breathe.  It's fun.

  17. Is it just me or does the PS5 controller look like a step back from the PS4 controller?

  18. Or you can have no Goodwill at all and only have 2 thrift stores that specialize in clothes...
  19. Man, I hate allergy season!

I sympathize.  I have year round allergies but my peak is ragweed season from August through October.  I get serum shots every other week and use Flonase.  Most of the pills are like sugar pills to me, they do practically nothing.

@GoldLeader @joeatari1 I too have year-round allergies, but yesterday and today my allergies have been going against the Geneva Convention. My entire face feels pressurized, and I've been wheezing like I've ran 100 miles.

I used to get custom Serum Shots every 2 weeks (I think it was)...I could never tell if anything was getting better or worse.  Gave up the shots long ago.  Nowadays I do kind of like Zyrtec (or generic equivalents),...Most pills do nothing or very little (Claritin, I could eat like PEZ, for instance and it does absolutely nothing,   less than a sugar pill)...People tell me to try Flonase, but I've never known a nasal spray to do anything...

  20. I now have an irrational hatred towards Christmas thanks to AVGN: Adventures.

  21. Wow! This may be every English friendly Saturn game! Thank you!
  22. This is a thread where you can help make a list of all (or most) the English friendly foreign games. The quality doesn't matter, as long as it's English friendly, I'll update the list. My current list is: Famicom/FDS Route 16 Turbo Yie Ar Kung Fu Super Mario Bros. 2 (JP) 3D Hot Rally Ultraman: Kaijuu Teikoku no Gyakushuu Sega Saturn Puyo Puyo Sun Super Famicom Godzilla: Kaiju Daikeesan I know my list isn't much (these are all the Japanese exclusive games I have/had), but I feel like it's an okay start. If you know of any games, please tell us about them!
  23. Do you remember back in November when Papa John said "The day of reckoning will come" and we all laughed at him? Well it's 2020 and the day of reckoning is here and Big Papa John isn't going to help us. We have to eat 40 Papa John's™ pizzas in 30 days and then maybe we'll survive the day of reckoning.
