  1. I had a bad reaction to CBD oil so that wouldn't help. Thanks for the suggestion though!
  2. I take clonidine to manage both my anxiety and my insomnia, unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a refill on it so for the past week or so I've been feeling the effects of not taking it. The effects started a couple of days ago when it felt like my veins were being shocked. Clonidine is a blood pressure pill so I thought maybe it was my blood pressure going up, turns out my blood pressure was fine. Thankfully, my anxiety has died down considerably since I started taking clonidine so I haven't been feeling anxious. But then there's the sleep or lack thereof. Since I was a toddler I've been taking sleeping medicine to sleep, for the most part, I've had to change medication since I become immune to them. I haven't grown immune to clonidine, but I've wanted to stop taking sleep medications since I wouldn't say they induce natural sleep (it's more like being drugged), so at first, I was kind of happy since I thought I could wean myself off of clonidine. Boy, I was wrong, after a couple of days (around the same time I was feeling that shock feel), I started to lose sleep. I'm staying up until 6-8 a.m and only falling asleep due to exhaustion, I usually wake up at 2 p.m and even then, I have to forcefully get myself out of bed. Yesterday I woke up at 4 p.m and today I took melatonin to see if it would work. Since I'm writing this at 4 a.m you can tell it didn't work. Listen, before you think about taking any medication for sleep, look for other options. I'm not a huge believer in herbal medicine, but try drinking chamomile tea before you go to bed, or try sleep therapy. Sleeping pills (or any prescription drug for that matter) can be addicting, and once you get addicted, it's hard to stop.

Ugh.  Can't figure out discord.  What do I search for?  Do I need to have a friend?  Where do I put the access code (don't go there)?

      Figured it out.?

Sorry, I hung in there as long as I could.  That second movie was just awful!  Italian Star Wars my ass!  At least I know how to use discord now.

  4. Looks like I'm gonna spectate this round (nothing is stopping me from using an emulator, I just like using real hardware).
  5. It is, for some reason the Japanese equivalents have been playing catch up for the past few updates.
  6. I https://topics.nintendo.co.jp/article/76c24c49-2e58-4f00-8ed3-a8136e278e30 https://www.nintendo.com/whatsnew/detail/2020/more-than-80-nes-and-super-nes-games-are-now-available-with-nintendo-switch-online/ If you don't want to read the articles, here are the games: Both SNES and SFC: Panel De Pon (Tetris Attack) SNES exclusive: Wild Guns and Operation Logic Bomb SFC catch up: Super Punch-out Both NES and FC: Rygar FC catch up: Rough World (Journey to Sillius) It's clear what they're doing now, they're putting one recognizable game on the app, then they're unloading a bunch of forgettable, possibly garbage games so they can inflate their game count. The fact games like DKC and Pinball get left out is saddening. I'm not mad, I'm just very disappointed.
  7. These listings always piss me off since it makes other people think they have holy grails, even though they have dirt cheap commons. Hopefully, someone told the person about the difference between Atlantis and Atlantis 2 and he lowered the price.
  8. Anyone else feel like the eshop is just a slightly higher quality version of Google Play (slight exaggeration)?

  9. For me, it's a toss-up between GTA 2, Vice City, and The Ballad of Gay Tony. Those three, in my opinion, mix story progression and accessibility the best.
  10. Would anyone attend a monthly-bi-monthly public domain movie night where you can riff on movies and talk with fellow Atariagers? I'm thinking about creating a Discord server for this purpose.

Cool idea! I actually host a bad movie show on public access here in my neck of the woods. Public domain trash flicks, cartoons, even did an episode of all vintage educational movies!

I like it.  I think it's an interesting idea.  Personally though, I'm just too busy this time of year...I'm pretty sure I'd be working and unable to participate...

I decided to go ahead with it. You can look at the movie lineup on the announcement thread:https://atariage.com/forums/topic/306754-coming-soon-atariage-public-domain-movie-night/?tab=comments#comment-4536382

  11. I don't think there's any Cassettevision Homebrew, what about Telstar Arcade? It would be interesting to see some homebrew on the Game.com though.
  12. I might have found another listing doing the same thing, this time with Texas Chainsaw Massacre: https://www.ebay.com/itm/184281795910
  13. Oh no! My seller of choice for my imports has raised their shipping prices from $2.49 to $19.99!

The cheap connect speedpak shipping isn't shipping to North America right now from what I was told. It's DHL, EMS, etc. or nothing right now because of the Apocalypse.

      Ah, that makes sense.

  14. It does, but I'm on a "strict" gaming budget, and buying a GPU isn't really on my main priorities list. I'm definitely going to get one someday though.
  15. Turns out I can't run WaW... Oh well, I can still play BF1942 and Wolfenstein 3-D!
  16. Don't you hate it when you accidentally start an international conflict?

Being of mixed European ancestry (German, English, Polish, Lithuanian), I am constantly at war with myself.  Sometimes my German wants to just take over the other countries and I need to kick my own ass into submission. Ah well, C'est la vie.  Wait a second, I'm not french!  Or am I?

  17. I going to give a quick update. I got into a WW2 shooter kick (probably my brain subconsciously celebrating D-Day) and downloaded Battlefield 1942, it runs almost perfectly with little to no lag (I know it's not a very demanding game, but I thought my PC was worse than a potato). I'm gonna try World at War even though I'm not very optimistic about it running good.
  18. I agree, I really love (?) the atmosphere of the game, especially on the European Front, it, in my opinion, shows the horrors of war better than any other COD game (you see actual dead bodies and see a real German officer get executed). The Pacific Theater is also good but only picks up after the blackcat mission. The zombies game mode in WaW is also great, it doesn't focus on the lore and it's more arcade-like than it's successors. The multiplayer is also great, I only played it in its twilight years, so I mostly played TDM, but when I got to play the "War" mode, it was pretty intense and fun.
  19. Minus the 24 eshop games I own, I only have 2 physical Switch games. There's also my Vectrex, which I own only 3 games for (minestorm (built-in), Berzerk, and Clean Sweep)
  20. The Call of Duty series, just like Miami Connection, is my guilty pleasure. I love to just turn my brain off and Shücht, my personal favorites are World at War and (unpopular opinion) Infinite Warfare. If you like the series, what's your favorite?
