  1. In the one time I encountered him on this forum, I just dismissed him as a narcissistic asshat who just so happened to be good at games. It turns out he had a lot more demons in his head than I thought. I hope his girlfriend rests easy, and I hope both of their families are able to heal from this.
  2. There's a man who lives in a rental dumpster in Queens. He was born in 1832 and saw the Statue of Liberty when it was new. He also has long toenails so he can climb walls.

      Yo MV,

Have you gotten into the raw oatmeal raisin cookie dough again?

  3. Yep, stuff officially made and then sold (or gave out if it was free) for download.
  4. Satelleview was basically cable TV but playable, so there was no downloading (you could save a game on the card that came with it, but I think it only held one game) whatsoever.
  5. What are some examples of early DLC (I'm not talking about expansion packs, I'm talking about real downloadable content)? I know that Sonic adventure had a New Year's DLC, and that was in 1999. Star Wars Battlefront 2 had Xbox exclusive DLC in 2006, but by then, DLC was starting to be common place. Those are the earliest I can think of (on consoloe at least, I'm sure there was PC DLC in the late 80's and stuff). Do you know of any?
  6. *Piano from Bohemian Rhapsody plays* eBaaaaaayyyyyy, why won't you work? My PayPal is completely fine, but all you do is fit and whine.

  7. I wouldn't say it's the worst era (I'd say that's nowadays) and I can't say that TMNT is bad (I've never played it), but holy shit Double Dragon Arcade is awful, it might be the worst game I've ever played. But hey, at least the music's great.
  8. like 6 hamburger patties (no bun) 2 hours ago, and now everytime I belch, it smells like I farted out of my mouth.

You didn't season them with Emeril spices, did you?  The last time I used his seasonings, I was a fart factory.

A potent combination is hot dogs and cake frosting. They come out wet and that smell takes eons to completely dissipate.

  9. 12,890 it's gonna take a while to get used to the controls (Played on a modded 3DS): EDIT: Small improvement 18,280: EDIT EDIT: Progress! 21,600: Do you guys do Famicom exclusive games? If you do, I'd like to recommend Galaxian and Yie Ar Kung Fu.
  10. I'm a big fan of the NES, GameCube, and Switch personally. Since I think they all brought something new to the table (except for the GameCube). The NES was one of the most graphically advanced systems at the time of it's original release, the Switch kind of reinvented handhelds (I mean the Super Gameboy came out 2 decades earlier, but the Switch has it's own line of games), and the GameCube is my first system, so it gets a special place in my heart. What's your favorite Nintendo system(s)? I'd like to know!
  11. Is price charting even worth it anymore? I just look at the game on eBay and get the cheapest one.

  12. I don't know if it's because my 3DS is modded, or if it's just a feature I didn't know existed, but when I boot up a game and then go to the Internet app, it has the game name in the search engine.

More likely a feature, then again, I never used the 3DS browser.

  13. I'm thinking about adding Space Invaders to my collection, is it a faithful port?
  14. Are you a repeat buyer from a certain eBay seller? Do they provide cheap, but quality products? Have you had little to no problem with said seller? Then give them a shoutout here! I'd like to recommend import seller zipangugame. Their prices are super affordable and they're my go-to place for Famicom games. Unfortunately, since the pandemic, they now just sell console lots. Who are some eBay sellers you would recommend?
  15. What's big and brown and stinks all the time?

My UPS guy on a hot day.  Those trucks don't have air conditioning.

  16. I've grown to the idea of digital games, but the idea of physical games going extinct irks me. I don't want to have to mod every system going forward just to collect for it after everything shuts down. Don't even get me started on streaming games. That service can go suck a lemon.
  17. Off-topic, but this thread was created on the 30th anniversary of the 2600. Just thought I'd point that out.
  18. You know, Joe Besser wasn't that bad of a Stooge.

I was too young to know him as a Stooge (I had watched some old Stooges that didn't have him yet) but I remembered him as Babu the genie in the cartoon Jeannie.

I don't blame him for how dull the episodes he was in were. Rather, I blame lazy writers.

  19. (Apologies for the short, and underwhelming review, I literally just finished this a couple of minutes ago since I honestly couldn't find anything to talk about) VS. Super Mario Bros. is a platforming game for the Nintendo VS. system released In 1986 by Nintendo. The game is hard... Really hard. Like, it compares to Mario 2 JP in terms of difficulty, I rarely get angry at games, but I was this close to throwing my Joycons while playing this. I'm not gonna talk about the graphics since they're just slightly enhanced versions of the SMB1 sprites. The controls, sadly, ruin the entire thing for me, in the Arcade Archives release, the controls are delayed. The delay can cause anything from a mild inconvenience to a matter of life and death. Overall, I'd say that the game itself is great and is a good step up if you've mastered the original SMB. But the delay on the controls on the Arcade Archives release is so bad, I can't justify getting it, especially for $7.99, 5/10.
  20. Here's a useful law: Whale poaching is illegal... in Oklahoma.

      Carlsson,

We know THAT ain't against the law in Oklahoma!

  21. My Saturn's in good-really good condition. It's aged a little and has a hard time reading some scratched disks, but I'm more inclined to believe that it's more of the disk's fault than the Saturn's.
  22. Bingo! They came with my Saturn bundle and until now, I didn't really bother to do anything with them since, in my mind, loose disk=broken.
