Would anyone attend a monthly-bi-monthly public domain movie night where you can riff on movies and talk with fellow Atariagers? I'm thinking about creating a Discord server for this purpose.
-
I decided to go ahead with it. You can look at the movie lineup on the announcement thread:https://atariage.com/forums/topic/306754-coming-soon-atariage-public-domain-movie-night/?tab=comments#comment-4536382

Oh no! My seller of choice for my imports has raised their shipping prices from $2.49 to $19.99!

Don't you hate it when you accidentally start an international conflict?

I just ate 2,700mg of sodium and drank two glasses of mountain dew. I can feel my body succumbing to sodium poisoning.

I just ate some General Tso's Chicken and it feels like my tongue is being stung by thousands of hornets.
Why did we domesticate peppers again?

I think I might've guessed wrong about Cooking mama cookstar. I don't think it's gonna be collectible.

Seinfeld is a show that's only funny if you don't watch it for a while.

@GoldLeader I like the show, I just think it's funnier if you wait a couple of years in between watching it. Kind of like Family Guy.

If I ever actually LEARN how to program, I'm gonna try to recreate Heavyweight Champ (1976) but put it on the 2600 (or 8-bit). It probably won't be accurate, but it would be better than nothing.

To people who replace their system's disk drive with an SD card reader. Why? Wouldn't a modchip give you the exact same thing without removing the drive?

If you like Arcade Archives and want to share your high scores, I've made an Arcade Archives club! https://atariage.com/forums/clubs/51-the-not-so-official-arcade-archives-club/

With two mini-updates within a couple of weeks of each other, I think Nintendo should've just delayed the 10.0.0 update and optimized it.

(See link) I decided to go ahead and write about the topic I had in mind for Lost Gaming Vault, 70s video games! I have written about each game in more detail than the 64DD one, and there are pictures! If you have any ideas for Lost Gaming Vault, just comment on the entry! https://atariage.com/forums/blogs/entry/16666-lost-gaming-vault-70s-video-games/

Rich Evans was right! Cameron Mitchell never said tums festival, it was in Samurai Cop!
-
I'm going to work on another entry for Lost Gaming Vault tomorrow, I have a topic in mind, but it may contain too many games to talk about in detail and I don't want to make another 64DD type entry for a while. If you have any ideas that would be interesting, just reply to this post!

Vs. Super Mario Bros. is a great psychological game. You're used to the original levels, so every difference in this game almost feels like a betrayal.

I accidentally bought 2 of one item on eBay, so I sent a cancellation request (keep in mind, this was right after I realized I had bought more than one). It got shipped so my request got rejected. Oh well, I guess I'll have two DS chargers.

I ordered 2 GBA battery doors on Ebay a while back for 2 GBAs that where missing battery doors (A white and a clear pink one) so I could sell them... the seller just said send a note of which colors I wanted... instead of getting the 2 colors they were both pink. The seller said he messed up and would send me a white one but it never arrived.

Tube Panic must've killed when it was in the arcades "Spinning 3D Tubes" in 1984!

Does anyone know any good tutorials for BASIC? I can't seem to find one.

Depends on what kind of BASIC.
If it doesn't matter, try the VIC-20 manual.
If you want to learn a better version of BASIC, the CoCo Extended Color BASIC is also superb.
If you have an old computer, start from its manual. If it's bad, then consult a different manual. If there are no good manuals for your computer(very rare circumstance), then get another computer(or download an emulator, or whatever)

If Applesoft BASIC is OK:

the referenced online simulator is actually decent:
