There is no full CDi set, because some games and other titles might not even be known. I've even discovered a few previously unknown titles. Other titles that are claimed to exist and are mentioned on some lists of games may not actually exist, and then there's quite a few titles with game elements or quizzes that could be considered games.

So the CDi is basically a 70s Asian console but released in the 90s? I didn't know that the CDi was this deep when it comes to its software.

The first line of the listing: "I have no idea what I have" ... but let's open things up @ $399.99 ?!

    Should I laugh or cry?

(ETA: I'd rather wager $70 on the frighteningly large collection of pistol holsters from the same seller.)

The person is now selling it for $199.99. Still too much for an untested item, but better than the original price.

I mean it took over 25 years for even a copy to be known.....to even know tgey existed.

I had no idea it was unknown for 25 years... I have agree with your estimate now.

Most copies found were still sitting in shelves of 40 year old electronics stores that finally closed and liquidated.

Imagine going to a going out of business sale and finding Odyssey games.

If i were to wager a guess of known interplanetary voyage games i would guess they are around known air raid cart numbers....in the 25ish range. Plus there must be some more out there unfound yet....but probably not alot....they must have made a pretty small batch of these unless there was unsold stock out there at a point.

Now, I'm not an Odyssey collector, but I think that number is a little too conservative. I would say something like cheetahmen 2 (around 1,500 to be exact) would be a better comparison, my only reasoning for this is because in 73 (when I'm assuming this came out) I'd assume Magnavox was still confident in the Odyssey.

(Note, I'm 90% wrong on my speculation, I just wanted to get my stinky opinion out)

I decided to take a gamble and buy from a suspicious listing. I will update on what I got.

Also, this will be the last physical game I buy until this stuff dies down. I haven't been finding good deals and importing stuff is too expensive due to [REDACTED].

Edit: The reason why I bought this is because I contacted the seller and she told me that she just mixed up the photos (which seems pretty hard to do), so I thought maybe she sold Super Pitfall with a Galaxian thumbnail. After looking through her entire sold list, I didn't find one Super Pitfall listing, and as a matter of fact, no Famicom cartridge listings either. So I'll keep you guys updated on if this is cursed or not when it gets here.

My cursed listing game got here. Turns out I got Galaxian after all! 1591984226799275920867490859394.thumb.jpg.5e96a85ed04546853a32ec9d56ca986b.jpgIt's pretty dirty, so I'll have to clean it off with some IPA, but other than that, it looks good! Fun fact: This is the most expensive Famicom I've bought, I've gotten most of my games for $3.

Ok as promised, here is my personal Japanese list from my collection. I am leaving out the US and PAL Exclusives since they are already in native English. I have played all of these games at least a little and after a lot of research I purchased them since the 90s.. haha die hard Saturn fan here!

I am not giving you my wish list however since I don't want any competition looking for them haha...

There may be like 1 - 2% of these games that are heavy Japanese but I bought them because I liked the characters or art or something else, but this list is like 98% English Friendly more or less.

Let me know if you all have any questions!

Wow! This may be every English friendly Saturn game! Thank you!

  7. This is a thread where you can help make a list of all (or most) the English friendly foreign games. The quality doesn't matter, as long as it's English friendly, I'll update the list.

    My current list is:

    Famicom/FDS

    Route 16 Turbo

    Yie Ar Kung Fu

    Super Mario Bros. 2 (JP)

    3D Hot Rally

    Ultraman: Kaijuu Teikoku no Gyakushuu

    Sega Saturn

    Puyo Puyo Sun

    Super Famicom

    Godzilla: Kaiju Daikeesan

I know my list isn't much (these are all the Japanese exclusive games I have/had), but I feel like it's an okay start.

If you know of any games, please tell us about them!

Off topic, how does one even start with studying Japanese, especially if one is not really good learning new languages. My daughter is much better at picking something yet, but even she has struggled with Japanese. We both want to visit someday, so I'd like to be at least functional.

I would start with writing the characters for hiragana and katakana at least once a day until you can remember half of them. Then branch out to an online course like Japanese with Yuta (I haven't been doing mine like I should (stuff gets in the way), but from what I've done it's great).

What's cheap for you? I got both of my Panzer Dragoons for 1500 yen each yesterday, so that may be worth considering.

This helped me, and I actually found this light gun for 550 yen yesterday. Forgot to buy it, though...

It must either be my luck, or eBay (probably the latter), but I can't find Panzer Dragoon anywhere near ¥1500 (which I'm assuming is around 15USD), the Japanese version is like 30USD (and don't even get me started on the US version), and I'm pretty sure looking for it on Yahoo Auctions won't be worth it due to shipping. It looks like I'll have to make a "Business" Trip to Japan someday and buy up some Saturn games.

Speaking of Yahoo Auctions, why is everything so cheap on there? (minus shipping) I saw someone selling a Playdia, a bunch of PS1 and Wiis, a couple of Saturns, and a couple of Dreamcasts for ¥1! Albeit, they were in untested or broken condition, but for ¥1 you'd easily make your money back if you could repair them. I was very tempted to bid on it, but then I realized shipping wouldn't be worth it.

He's fairly new. Only 119 subscribers and his views are in the toilet. Four months ago he reviewed the Jaguar and a few games. I think he falls in the "22-year old talkin' retro" category. If you wanna' face-palm harder than Ryan Reynolds after X-Men Origins, link below.

I'm getting bootleg Scott the Woz vibes from this Nate the Gamer fellow minus being actually funny.
