  1. I think that is actually the fiirst time I ever saw (or noticed) a comparison between the S-Vid and composite. That's pretty smooth.
  2. I didn't know that was you. I think I bought a tri-wing screwdriver off you a year or so ago....
  3. Very nice dude. My stuff is still on boxes in the garage from our move from Japan...
  4. And what's worse is the guys act like I was passing up a great deal. Getting all snippy and stuff. About the only thing I can hope for is the people that have a whole mess of loose games all costing $1 or two that don't know the difference between them.
  5. My latest running around flea market was a disaster as well. Saw a Atari 7800 boxed with two games. Marked down from $100 to $75. Then I went to another flea market and found another one for $50 (box beat up and no power supply). I hate to say it, but eBay may be the most reasonable place to find things now...
  6. I think I've been at that store. Is that store in Morioka? *edit* Just noticed someone mentioned Tokyo. I check out these stores too whenever I'm out. I love perusing the second hand stores here like Doki Doki and Off House. I think my best find so far was that Sanyo 3DO I sold on eBay a while back. I noticed the Sega Saturn market kind of dried up here over the last 6 or 8 months. One store always hassles me (sort of) because they think I don't know they are Japanese systems and games. The guys about fainted when I brought all 6 Sega Saturns they had up tp the counter...
  7. I picked up some Genesis stuff from a local thrift shop. I have the Capcom Fighter Power Arcade stick, EA Sports 4 way multi tap, and a wireless infrared controller. Check out my ebay feedback under the same name. I'm looking for pre Nintendo stuff or AMD socket A M/B (too many wants, surprise me...). It all appears to be very well kept, the Capcom controller still has the original plastic it came in and everything has instructions with it.
  8. I paid about that for mine. Right about the same time I got Tax Avoiders for $12 too. I was pretty happy, but it's no real big deal. It ain't like I won the lottery or anything..
  9. I found a box of Genesis stuff in my closet. I recall testing it a while back and this is what I remember: Sega CD unit (doesn't work) Sega Genesis unit older bigger type (pretty sure it works) Sega Genesis unit newer smaller version (pretty sure it works) two broken controllers three or four OK controllers Games: Onslaught (doesn't work), Tecmo Super Bowl 3 (works), Mortal Kombat (works), Populus (doesn't work) Two power supplies That's what I recall about it. Parcel post mail can take a long time from my APO address. If anyone is interested, let me know. I'll trade for almost any classic stuff.
  10. I boxed up all threse games a few months ago in preparation for a trade that never happened. I'll attach an inventory, there are 46 atari games and 27 Intellivison games. There are some doubles (more with the Intv games). I'm not going to yank them all out and retest them, they were all verified working at one time or another. Ah, looks like I can't upload an xls file, so I'll add them all here. Shipping will be on the buyer and the box weighs 14 pounds. My zip is 96319 and I recommend priority mail (this is an APO). You can check out my ebay feedback under the same name (and check out my import video game stuff ). The labels are all fair to good unless otherwise noted. I'll start at $75 and drop it every few days until sold. Thanks! 11. Funny this is mentioned. I just saw one of those twin stick controllers in a store here (northern Japan) the other day. Saturn stuff can still be found new in box here in stores believe it or not. I think the cost was about 3000 yen (about $30).
  12. Title says it all. Must be 133MHZ capable, I got a 866MHZ Via C3 chip cheap the other day.
  13. As always, if you want it, ask. I'm throwing these out to gauge interest. Sorry, no pictures right now with the family out of town with the camera. Shipping will work out to roughly $20-$25. Panasonic 3DO FZ-1 (boxed but no paperwork) with the following games: AutoBahn Tokyo King of Fighters 94 King of Fighters 95 King of Fighters 96 King of Fighters 97 King of Fighters 98 Dragon's Lair (cheat to play the game as a movie works) Myst Super Street Fighter II Samurai Showdown Planned starting bid: 59.99 with $120 BIN Sega Saturn system (still looking for a whiter one than the one I have) with the following games and controllers: Real Arcade V7 controller (loose) 3 axis controller (with box) Go controller (the train controller) (in box) Analog controller AKA Nights controller (complete in box with Magic Carpet game) D's Diner King of Fighters 96 (CD only) Boxing (CD only) Policenauts (CD's only) Snatcher (CD only) King of Fighters 95 (CD only) Nights into Dreams (CD only) Planned starting bid: 99.99 with $150 BIN
  14. If you're talking about the one I posted, I bought that in a store. So I doubt it was you. I've never seen one that color on Ebay. I would probably buy another one if I did and the price was low enough. I've actually been trying to find the crystal blue model for a while now but they're not easily attainable anymore in the US. 908113[/snapback] Yeah, I sold one a while back (or two maybe). I think I sold it for $25. I'll keep my eyes open for a crystal blue one...
  15. I used to sell a lot of NGPCs on ebay. They're still widely available over here (Japan). I almost wonder if that pictured one came from me, I don't think I saw any of those when I was selling a while back. Speaking of handhelds, they also sell the WonderSwan over here. I've never played it though.
  16. This is one of the things that really bothered me a few years back. eBay was all of the sudden the pricing authority on all this stuff. I tried explaining to a few of the flea market stiffs that for every Combat they see that sells for $6, there's 25 others that didn't get any bids. It almost works in reverse now, with eBay providing some great deals occasionally. I picked up Tax Avioders for $12 a few weeks ago.
  17. Saturns (Japanese ones anyway) are very worth it to many I guess, I sell lots of them on eBay. I don't find many games but people seem to like the shooters. Games like Nights and Christmas Nights are very popular too. The Capcom games that someone already mentioned are sought after as well. The import side also has a couple different branded consoles: A Victor version and a Hitachi version come to mind. There's also a see through one.
  18. Great, thanks. Yeah, I walked by a 5x7 photo mailer a little while ago in the store and thought they'd be great. The games actually have no case at all, just the CD in a shrinkwrapped bag. I was thinking I could just sandwich the CD between the two cardboard pieces, it seemed pretty stiff. Maybe I'll mail one back home and see if it gets destroyed
  19. I'm thinking about loading up on loose Sega saturn games and I want to know how to safely ship them. I'm thinking something more than a padded envelope is going to be necessary. What about one of those slimline plastic cases in a padded envelope?
  20. I looked at bidpay again. The whole money order thing does not appeal to me unfortunately. Being in Japan, I figure I'd get nailed with fees when I try to cash it. I do like the "direct to checking account" thing though. I understand that is 100% free of charge right? But do I get the option of refusing money orders but accepting this direct to checking option?
  21. One just sold on ebay for $40 with a bunch of games. If my paypal account wasn't drained I would have bought it. I want one...
  22. Wasn't Google supposed to be coming out with some kind of online payment thing? Bidpay is out there as well. I haven't really had issues with paypal yet (although I did fall victim to fraudulent funds once) but maybe it's time to take a look at other options?
  23. Yeah, I got a real good one after I dowenloaded eBay's turbo lister. Told me someone accessed my account from overseas (I'm in Japan) and that I should click on the link and "verify" my account information. No misspellings, etc. It was good. I wonder, could you use a packet logger somehow to determine if originated from opne of eBay's servers and delete accoringly?
