I remember seeing NES controllers modified to work on the 2600. Come to think of it, I think I saw a 5200 controller with a self centering stick mod (maybe here years ago?). Anyone have a link to such mods?

The Worst Features of Yard Sales and Flea Markets
fmctm1sw replied to Great Hierophant's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I love flea markets. We went pretty much every weekend when I was stationed in Pensacola. I remember meeting Road Dog (ex-WWE talent) at one there and talking to him. -
http://offer.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...item=8200878606 And those aren't roller controllers are they? Those are Super Action controllers, right?

Makes you wonder if he's turning those "faulty" games right back around on ebay or other customers somewhere. I believe you can block certain bidders.

I truthfully never thought about it like that. I've been selling Saturn after Saturn starting at 44.99 with a BIN of $50 (usually) and they sell like hotcakes. Someone eventually did buy that one as well before it closed. I added a RAM cart for free but I doubt that made a big difference. My general strategy on selling is if I think I can double up my money, I list it. I think the best I've done is tripled up on a Neo Geo I had and a Sanyo 3DO another time.

No love for my Saturn auction. It lokos like there are some other US sellers though, I guess that's the hold up. I may split them up if I can't sell the whole lot. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW

I know this is day late and dollar short but I bought Rubik's Cube from this seller in the last few weeks. I don't think he is intentionally trying to mislead anyone. He emailed me about this game and this is the conversation: Him: Dear fmctm1sw, Hi.Thanks for the great feedback, i have the game.obelix listed, pretty hard to come by, plus never opened Atari 2600 manual.mint perfect, plus never opened paddles, same conditon. If you like to check them out feel free and thanks for the smooth transaction Me: Dear c_ya_wiley, Actually I did look at that a few days ago. It appears there's an Obelix that has a "P" or something on the end label. I just assumed this one didn't since there were no bids and I was sure someone already asked. If it does, I'd be very interested. Him: Hi.dont see a .p. anywhere on this game, just on the bottom where the name is......stamped into the black decal are the numbers......08 4 r........other than that just the copywright in french and english on main decal........Thanks Me: Ok, I think I get it. A “P” was put on the PAL version of the game. This is NTSC right? Him: Yes it is and it works fine doesnt roll on yout tv.....Thanks and good luck if you bid, i added more info on the game because i didnt notice that the flash washed out the pic, .so thanks again. ...After the auction was closed and relisted Me: I noticed the auction ended. What happened? Him: I relisted it, i noticed that the pic was washed out, so you cant add any pics once you had a bid. I have lots of questions about what the game said on the bottom , and because it was washed out you couldnt see it. So i took another pic and relisted it, this way no questions , plus i can understand everyones concern. So look at my auctions. Its still there.Good luck if you bid. Me: Ok, found it. Man, you really had 60 people watching that? That’s amazing. Good luck with it, I’m about out of paypal (ebay) funds. I’d only be able to plop down about $60 right now. You’ll at least double that probably. You a collector from way back? Him: im not sure if it will go that high, its funny sometimes things that you would think go high and then they dont, and other stuff, you shake your head and say, if i only knew i was going to get that much.Yeah ive ben colecting atari stuff from about 20 years ago. I got rid of a bunch of the harder games to come across with boxes and instructions, last year.Lots of people thought either i just had pictures of the games and really didnt have them , or that i might hva e stole them ,lol. Some people..Anyway, i wouldnt back off on the 60.00, im sure you know it all depends who is on here at the time, so good luck if you bid Summary: In the end I found him very courteous and forthcoming with info and I recommend him as a seller. He shipped to me when a lot of people won't (APO address). And on a related note, was I dead on with that price or what?

Sorry I haven't gotten back to this in a few days. I got virus issues (computer). I don't mind being a little more specific. they are both black. One does not power on at all. I also noticed the power adapter does not fit either so I had to try with batteries.

No bidding from work? You're just not trying hard enough! Believe me, it can be done, and I do it often, and I'm not allowed to either!!!!! 877438[/snapback] They got ebay blocked altogether... Can't even get to it...

I've been real lucky lately I guess. In the last month I've found: Rubik's Cube: $13.59 Intellivision II with two games and a bunch of overlays: $22.50 (Ok, not great) Sears Super Video Arcade + 12 games: $19.99 Sears Video Arcade II with 19 games & Wico controllers: $9.99 and I saw a Tandyvision I bid on go for about $25. I had to go to work and ended up getting sniped out of it. I can't bid from work

I think this is talked about a little in some other threads. I've picked up a couple of systems in the last few weeks pretty cheap from what I remember when I colect a few years ago. Here's one: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...bayphotohosting Now granted, the stuff is untested but there is a Wico controller (and two others that I think are Wico as well) along with this stuff. I remember seeing them go for almost $10 each. It would seem now is the time to be buying this stuff.

Lately, I've done a lot of reminiscing. I was out of the atari picture for a few years and sold off some of my collection. There's just something about it that keeps me coming back though. I think the whole root of this is in early 80's. I was a young kid who didn't have a lot of the things other kids had (we had a car that didn't go into reverse). I remember going to my sisters boyfriend's house (his dad was a big coal mining guy) and swimming in their pool and retreating to the basement to play atari. I remember it was a 6 switch version and playing dragonfire, combat, and Pac-Man. I remember seeing an intellivision at my friends' house too. Us kids weren't allowed to play it though. Eventually I was the owner of a black 2600 and a Atari Jr. (when atari got cheaper). Fast forward 13 or 14 years... When I was stationed in Virigina, I remember stopping by a thrift store and seeing something. It may have been a colecovision, I'm not real sure. But I remember coming back and looking it up on the internet and realizing I passed up an expansion module 1 (the 2600 adapter) and a roller controller simply because I didn't know what they were. Remembering the tough times gave me some sort of connection to this stuff. When I started buying this stuff in the mid 90's, it was before ebay really took off. You could get games and consoles for pennies on the dollar. I remember buying intellivision games for a dime in Chesapeake Va. I got bent out of shape later though. People started poking "atari" into ebay and charging $5 for a combat cart after seeing some of the auctions. Even "flea market guy" was charging insane prices for this stuff. That's what really slowed me down over the last few years. I guess I really can't complain though. I've used the ebay "machine" to sell off some of my stuff too. When I transferred to Japan, I thought I'd have a really cool opportunity to score some old 2800 stuff but that hasn't happened. I've been relagated to Sega Saturns and an occasional Neo Geo. Something about it keeps me coming back. And I still drop in here remembering when this was the atari 2600 nexus with a .edu domain name. As for ebay, I don't know... It opens an avenue for buyers and sellers and I landed a rarity 8 (Rubik's Cube) for $15. So what's your story? You rememebr this stuff as a kid? Only know it through ebay?

What kind of shape is that Coleco Gemini (I'm assuming) in?

Trade list: Import Saturn stuff (Updated 20 June)
fmctm1sw replied to fmctm1sw's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Quick note. The Saturn games are tested. XMen vs Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter, and The Final Battle: Geese Howard Must Go all require a 4MB RAM cart. I don't have one to include unfortunately. Looking for rare 2600 games (over and consoles (Balley, Tandyvision, Sears version of Intellivision, Coleco Gemini, RCA Studio II). Rare games and pre nintendo game consoles. Let me know what you have. Thanks! *edit* The Loopy works as well. It doesn't have the A/V cables though. They are simple RCA stereo style cables findable anywhere. -
atari 2600 * super rare games for sale
fmctm1sw replied to atariaction's topic in Buy, Sell, and Trade
Is this up to date? Are all of them left (other than the ones that say -SOLD)? -
Oh, that's funny... "better than any game they put out" lmao

Label a little ripped, but an 8 I think. Does the label really make that much difference: http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewIt...AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1

I knew I should have never come back here. All this talk about classic games has got me wanting to get back into collecting. A little background: I'm on a Military base overseas. The only acceptable means of shipment and receipt for me is USPS priority mail. I cannot be shipped or ship anything via UPS, Fedex, etc. Only import games are available to me here. Anything I have is imported (Japanese) unless otherwise noted. I'd kind of rather trade than sell, but I will look at cash offers. I did a trade here long ago, I think before the "approved traders" list came out. You can check out my ebay feedback under the same name. As far as mailing, I'd prefer each of us to pay shipping to each other, it just seems easier that way unless someone knows something I don't. Wants: Classic stuff (pre NES). I have a lot of Atari, Coleco, INTV but I sold my most rare carts last year on ebay. They were only 6's. I wouldn't mind something I could show off to my friends (rare carts, lesser known consoles, etc). I'm also into computers (could use a 2.8GHZ 400 MHZ celeron CPU). I love 3 stooges (shorts) too. I also make my own DVDs. Authoring software, broadcast equip, etc. Try me... I'm usually real busy during the week. If I don't answer right away, don't despair. I do a lot of my shopping/testing on the weekend. OK, to the stuff: I haven't tested any of it yet. I want to get it listed. Anything sold will be fully tested soon (weekend). Sega Saturn (grey): I'll try to dig up the picture but it's in my other thread about import games. Sega Saturn Games (please make sure you have a RAM cart, many of these require it): Sakura Wars (boxed with mouse and mouse pad.) Vampire hunter X-Men vs. Street Fighter X-Men Children of the Atom The Final Battle: Geese Howard Must Go Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter Rockman X4 Casio Loopy (SOLD)

I guess I could have been more specific. I also didn't know that it was a crash either. I didn't grasp the seriousness of it all. I think the games were all marked $5. The thing that stands out is the description on the box. I mean, what was Airlock? Stranded on a submarine or something? Having to get out before time ran out? Cool graphics on the box and everything. I remember playing it and being so disappointed. I was like, what the hell is this? I was only 11 or 12 but I was no fool. And nice flyer from that 5200 box greywest. I remember the boxed Atari 800 computer my neighbor gave me a few years ago had the original receipt in it. Guys name, address, and everything on it. Damn, I'm getting back into video games now...

I see you're looking for games too. I have access to a lot of Japanese games in addition to consoles. My main problem is reading them. I'll try to keep an eye out for the ones you listed.
