Atari 2600, old school arcade games, hanging with friends, and focusing on enjoying the summer before college! I actually use my 2600 more than my PS4! Some of my favorite games are River Raid, Galaxian, Ms. Pac-Man, Missile Command, Demons to Diamonds, Berserk, and Breakout. I plan on starting an AtariAdventure YouTube channel soon. I also want to collect the Atari 5200 and 7800 in the future as well.

  1. This question probably has been asked over a hundred times, but I'm interested in capturing footage from my 2600. I've researched multiple methods such as splitters and using a VCR, but I am stumped on which to go with that will provide great video and audio as well. I also want to find a way to broadcast it on Twitch.

Let me know what your solution ends up being- I've got a standing bet/offer with a friend that if I can hook my jr. up to his capture card, he will stream ET.

I've always used a cheap USB TV tuner plugged into my laptop.

I think an A/V mod is the first step, to get somewhat decent video and audio from the console. Then use some video capture device on the PC, that records from A/V signals but here is where YMMV in terms of what gives good results and what doesn't.

@HoshiChiri: You're lucky as the JR model is the one considered easiest to do an A/V mod with good results.
