I'm a huge fan of puzzle games. Unfortunately new systems seem to have quite complex, graphically intense games that take away from the simple 'one more go' nature of classics like Tetris.

Thinking of old puzzlers, anyone got any recommendations of favourites to go back to and check out ?

Anything 8 Bit, 16 even 32 if you can think of anything ?

  I've been playing a lot of Shanghai II on the Genesis/Mega Drive recently. It's got a lot of cool options, including alternate layouts, randomized or guaranteed-winnable layouts, alternate tile designs, etc.

  Mahjong is a very tranquil game, sometimes I feel I am going into a kind of meditative state. I've never played it on a console. What are the controls like, Zoyous ?
