Played the Hell outta Tetris in college!   Always about 12 people in our dorm room playing my NES and Tetris (w/ 11 people "coaching") with either the C music going or our custom Slayer/King Diamond Soundtrack...

Nice one, Gold. My first memory was a kid at school had a brand new Gameboy in 1990 (it came out in 90 here), and we all got a go on Tetris and I was good at it and I played it for the whole lunchtime. It was 'ace' as we said back then, and a while later that year Mum got me a Gameboy and I was stoked. Great system and such a brilliant brilliant game.

Yeah,  it was 1990,  and I was walking through through a K-Mart and they had a Game Boy chained up at the jewelry counter, of all places, that way they could see you try it out I guess...and it had Tetris!  And I was like Hey,   They make that game for NES!!   The girl at the toy store (Kay Bee Toys), who would later on be tragically shot & killed by an angry Ex BF,  told me I should totally seek out the Tengen version,  But the only place with it, ...well, it was a grocery store rental video game, so I bought the regular Nintendo version...
