People who say 'Using their Laptops or Computers'.

And so starts a crazy 72 hours of manic packing and last minute scrambles. They say moving is one of the most stressful things, and this is my forth time in 20 years. Granted that's not too many and I am hoping this is the last, well last before a big mansion comes into view at night in my dreams, anyway!

@SpiceWare I'll take a guess. Germany, Canada, Holland, England. Bunch of places in different US States.

I spotted my old maths teacher down a nightclub once. I remember him well, as he was obsessed with geometry, so it wasn't that much of a surprise to see him throwing shapes all night.

"A common mistake that people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools."
20 years this may. RIP Douglas Adams.

@SlidellMan Yeah, that's a very American show BNS and I don't think it ever aired here. I've heard the name before though and I've certainly seen the RG cartoon series and at least a couple of Garfields. I think Sir Nigel Hawthorne died that year too. His biggest show in the UK was [Yes Prime Minister] and [Yes Minister] but he was most well known in the US for The Madness of King George.

Had my first jab of the C19 Vaccine yesterday. It was Oxford–AstraZeneca, and I felt proud to take it.
I feel proud of being British and our NHS. It certainly has its problems but I wouldn't change it, outside of a better funding system.Today I've had a bit of mild flu feeling and a sore arm but I think that is proof it is 'doing its stuff'. My father got his Second yesterday and my Aunt is due for her first On Monday.
NB: I've had to repost this because a couple of people think the original had political overtones.
I think maybe the fact that I had C19 back in March last year (and more) is why I have side effects, I don't know. At least I know it is working.

@jgkspsx I don't know what gets into these people. Like when your teacher gets out a guitar.

Get Rid of "Edge" by Microsoft.
If anyone wants to know how to get rid of it, stop it being so bloody pervasive, I think I got a solution. This rolls back to the old version that doesn't keep trying to own you.
First locate the version folder. I can't tell you what the current version you have is, but it should be located here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\85.0.564.67 (your version may differ)
Now when you know that folder.
CMD (with Admin rights),
Type cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\Edge\Application\85.0.564.67(this will change the directory)
setup.exe --uninstall --system-level --verbose-logging --force-uninstall
Will get rid of the fucker.

Disclaimer: It's at your own risk, so.
Needless to say: Your bandwidth may vary but it worked 100% for me.

Commando Amiga. UK. The Coin-Op conversion.
Been trying to get a boxed copy (by which I mean the game not a dupe) of the game for about 15 years now. I miss that game.
I had it for years, can't tell you where it went. I know I would not have thrown it!
Anyone got one for a fair price ? -
Anything suffixed with "-Ism" or anything "Extreme". Bad shit y'all !

Line of Duty
Ross Turner is an anagram of "Ros Returns".
Roz, who's full name is Roseanne "Roz" Huntley. Well... It's as good a theory as any I've heard #LOD

Ride Along has just come on tv.
Gets me every time. Not only is it very funny, well written and acted, but the actress that plays Angela, Tika Sumpter, is one of the most beautiful women I have ever seen.
Not a car person but the cars look awesome too !

Whereas I've wanted to watch Charly but never got round to it. Written by Stirling Silliphant, who wrote one of my favourite films, In The Heat of The Night.
I recommend the book. I am working my way thought the SF Masterworks series by Gollancz. I've only been at it for 20 years. I started collecting them in 2001. -
It's only a short book, but I recommend a slow read. I do that to savour books.
Big books you might bang through but Sci Fi tends* to be on the shorter side so I take my time with them.I generally think that when books are 600 pages that maybe the author is a bit lazy or self indulgent. A lot of my favourite books are 200, 250, 300 pages.
Like a film NEEDS to be 3 hours.
* there are so incredible exceptions I know.

It sounds like a delicious biscuit you would have with your tea ☕ (cup of), but Hobson's Choice is a git to swallow.

Flight of the Amazon Queen is a forgotten Amiga classic; mainly because it came out pretty late in the day.
If you don't know of the game, it's free, so you've no excuses. Despite the disingenuous assertion on Wonkipedia, the released game, as was, was not coded in Amos. -
4 Non Blondes. 'What's Up'.
I remember this coming out and thought it was great. They never made a second album and apparently the first was a mountain to climb as it was.
Only recently did I discover that remarkably half the band (Shaunna Hall and Wanda Day) had been sacked even before the first album had been completed. That has to be a first even in the mad fucked up world of Music!

Having a lie in, suddenly an explosion of child activity outside my window seems to be an appropriate alarm clock.

What a miserable day out there ! One for staying in, heat on, hot cups of tea and a novel I think!

Funny because Right Now, as I write this it's -9F (RealFeel -27) and I'm gonna leave the warm house to take out my trash and probably shovel my walk...Only a couple of inches of snow so not too bad at all, but It's 5:04 PM and if the sun goes down I figure it will get cold!! I dress in layers so I know how to handle this stuff - Long sleeve, then short sleeve, then flannel, wearing light pajamas under my pants etc,. and gloves and a Winter Hat of course....
-
Keep safe !
Yeah, so you are trapping warmth, what there is of it, through the layers. Rather you than me mate. Us Brits are not cut out for Cold weather. Adversely we are not cut out for Hot weather either.
We sometimes get both. In 1962 it was incredibly cold due to an Anti-Cyclone.In the last few years summers (which generally consist of between one week and a fortnight of hot consistent weather, it can get as hot as 35 (95?)
For all the Americans talking of it raining all the time in the UK, we generally only get rain most of the time.
In reality it is a perception not born out to be true. We get about 130 days of rain or snow here, I've just looked up.
It once snowed in June here for some mad reason. I was at secondary school, in English.
When I was a kid, I remember a couple of Hurricanes but that seems to be as extreme as our weather really gets, though we have started to get a thing called ThunderSnow ?

One of those 'I've been here before' days. Not that surprising as most days blend into each other ATM.
-
I didn't think that was political. Nonsense maybe, but never mind...
It was a reference to Orange mobile if you are wondering. They had a slogan 'The Future's Bright, The Future's Orange'.
You might need to set your VPN to UK.
