      Yeah, so you are trapping warmth, what there is of it, through the layers. Rather you than me mate. Us Brits are not cut out for Cold weather. Adversely we are not cut out for Hot weather either. 

      We sometimes get both. In 1962 it was incredibly cold due to an Anti-Cyclone.

       

      In the last few years summers (which generally consist of between one week and a fortnight of hot consistent weather, it can get as hot as 35 (95?)

       

      For all the Americans talking of it raining all the time in the UK, we generally only get rain most of the time.

       

       

      In reality it is a perception not born out to be true. We get about 130 days of rain or snow here, I've just looked up.

       

      It once snowed in June here for some mad reason. I was at secondary school, in English.

       

      When I was a kid, I remember a couple of Hurricanes but that seems to be as extreme as our weather really gets, though we have started to get a thing called ThunderSnow ?

      I am working on my own puzzle game which I personally feel has a lot of potential- Keeping it under wraps for now but won't be long before a few play-testers are needed. Happy to consider any of you who fancy a go.

    I just learned that Santa Claus is estimated to be 5 ft 7 in and weigh about 260 pounds. That gives him a BMI of about 40.5, i.e. Obese Class III which sounds about right.

    Got a telephone Doctor appointment today.

     

    You never know where you are. If you get a good doctor on a good day they can be terrific, and helpful, but, if you get one on a bad day or heaven forbid you get one of the doctors that are just outright rubbish clinicians, then, you've wasted all that time and effort and maybe a day off work as well if you think you might be told to come down to the surgery / doctor's office. 

    Fingers crossed I get a good un in a good mood!

      The only thing you can say, is, that she is out of pain. Stay strong, nonochess. I personally believe you will see her again. Even if you don't, be open to the possibility.

      Bad design Random. A game should allow you to do 'anything' you might consider reasonable in RL.

      Like an old text adventure of mine will allow you to get through a locked door with an axe or a fire or explosives. Simple example but freedom of choice has become the standard. On rails Zombies only works in House of The Dead!

      I am so sorry for your loss.

       

      I am just a random stranger, probably hundreds if not thousands of miles away, but I know the pain of losing someone you love dearly to this horrendous disease.

      Ha ha. Never seen this before. That's awesome.

       

       

      Saw a documentary once. American 'Footballers' played Rugby, the game it sprang from. The Rugby players from England went over and had a great laugh. The US lot thought it was crazy that the 'Brits didn't have any protection.

      Just in the US ? It's mad for us- here- especially to appreciate just how expansive the US is. Effectively 50 countries knitted together. Louisiana is the same size as the UK but has less than 10% of the population !

       

       

      There must be a lot of ghosts towns all over the US. Why doesn't one of these mouthy billionaires try to rebuild some communities by moving their factories to some parts like that?
