  1. Be who you want to be, don't let anyone tell you, who you are!

There's only one thing that I know how to do well
And I've often been told that you only can do what you know how to do well

And that's be you. Be what you're like. Be like yourself.

  2. I know who I am, and in saying that, I'm happy.

I wish I was thinner, more attractive, more productive creatively and had more money...

However, I can hold my head up, knowing I am a good, decent human being and one that cares.

I try to be kind, helpful and respectful. I have never trod on anyone to gain an advantage and would never do so.

I've upset a lot of people, sometimes intentionally but usually by just being 'me'.

    People take offense.

I've stood up for those who've been marginalised, mistreated or abused- just for being 'who they are'.

I won't stand for racism or misogyny nor hating someone for being gay.

I believe that ' Every man (or woman) has a right to decide their own destiny ' and that people be ' judged not by the colour of their skin but by the content of their character '.

Thank you Dr Martin Luther and Bob Marley.

I have a healthy sense of humour of the British variety and I try to stay positive even in very difficult times.

I drink tea, read books. Enjoy scrabble and drawing. I love Music, History,

    and stupid British things.

I may never make a mark on the world, or even a dent, but at least I had the right ideas and the best of intentions.

You might be asking why I have posted this.

Sometimes when you feel a bit blue and things seem only to be going 'south' you have to remind yourself of who you are and why you are a good person.

      It helps.

    Miserable (1).jpg

    Back in the ring!

The tracker tells me there have been 540 known cases in my area / county / state and I get it twice. What kind of luck is that?

      ∞ Vince ∞

Hey Atarian. No. Well very mild I'd say. Got a headache, but I suffer migraines anyway, I think in part due to my tinnitus.

Assuming second time around will be easier, better. I nearly died or felt that way back in March/April.

It was some ordeal. I really urge everybody to take precautions and protect themselves.

  5. according to Forest Gump, his mum said, "Life is Like a box of Chocolates. You never know what you're gunna get!".

In what world does that work? you always know what you're gunna get, there are pictures on the box (usually) and always a booklet inside.

In life you know some of what you're gunna get-

    • your heart broken
    • to be taxed up the arse
    • to die

Too many idiots knocking about. Forest was harmless, but his mum was an plank!

      Also US Chocolate. Urg...

    3. save2600

      save2600

What really frosts me about U.S. chocolate (actually two things)... my favorite candy bar of all time 'PB Max', made by Mars, was discontinued - despite being profitable - by the family because of their disdain for peanut butter! How frickin' stupid is that?

First major offense though, is when Hershey's changed the formula of their Whatchamacallit candy bar. The original candy bars were made of peanut butter crisp coated in a thin layer of chocolate. In 1987 the formula was modified to include caramel. CARAMEL!!  :(

      Assholes one and all!  lol

      Your alright, Adam.  😏

The biggest issue with ideas is, they tend to cost a whole bunch of money to do, which stops most good ideas becoming great ideas.

Fortunately this idea needs nothing more than diligence on my part.

NES version is very very close. The c64 version is my fave outside of the Coin Op. I just wish Ste Ruddy had known of the secrets, but nevermind. Both are fine fine conversions.

  8. Not been about for a bit. Quick update:

    Loving these art classes.

3 and a bit stone lighter now, too!

Terminator: Dark Fate. Fuck me who wrote that nonsense. The only thing I love about it are the pre-credits sequences. The only other film I have taken to watch in segments like this is "Die Hard: Russian Holiday" which was a lot worse, I will give you.

Date Night was a pretty good movie. Having mistaken it for the awful Blind Date, I found I enjoyed it much more than I thought I would. Too much Marky Mark though...

    1. jd_1138

      jd_1138

I can't really stomach most Hollywood films, as 99 percent of them are fecal matter. I just watch a few foreign films per week. I will watch American sci-fi movies though.

Well if I can throw one out you might like.

      La Haine.

      Black and White.

      French.

      1995.

Quite appropriate to the current climate and in my opinion, an out and out classic.

Wasn't Blind Date the movie with GWAR in it?  So that scene ruled!

  9. I was once a handsome man, but now I'm half a goat!

  10. Is feeling good about himself.

Despite having a dodgy thyroid, has managed to lose 8.5% of his total body weight in just under 3 months.

Never been into 'crash diets', I know the dangers and have been eating healthy filling foods like Salmon and having plenty of protein with Tuna and Chicken. Plenty of leafy veg and nuts.

I think I also gained a few pounds of muscle as well.

I need to get my metaphysical 'house' in order, so I am going to take an indefinite break from all forums. I left Facebook years ago,

I agree Farcebook and Twatter are toxic. The gangsters behind them only think about the money. The blood money that is.

It would take one day to implement a parser which rejects any status update or post using racist, bigoted or misogynistic language. It would cut the bullying / harassment down by 90% in one day, but they don't give a flying fuck.

Goes with the general aviation culture. Like cops & donuts. It just is.

I've never had much money, Keatah, so I just can't understand it. Of course I understand having experiences and wanting to 'live'. Especially now.

I've never paid $100 dollars for a game, I think the most I have ever paid was £25 and it was for a Mint compilation.

  15. THIS IS A FIRST!

In all the years I have fixed peoples broken PCs, I have never once experienced this:

A Microsoft automated repair tool that actually fixed the problem. I am in shock. I might drink some Scotch slowly, looking out the window trying to look anything other than dumbfounded and take this monumental moment in.

      Yeah, it really happened!

  16. I just finished work on a virtual machine compiler. For my text adventures.

I can now write an adapted version of the interpreter for each machine: C64, Spectrum, Amstrad, BBC, Atari 800XL and then my text based action adventures can live across all the machines and go out at the same time!

A small cut of cheese to some, but a big moment for me!

Well... A Jaguar is 100% worth the money, the car, a classic. A British classic. You will not lose money and you have a highly refined beautifully designed precision engineered masterpiece.

I edited a page for a person I GREW UP WITH and knew everything about. They wouldn't take it that I knew where he was born for love nor money.

In the end I gave up. 5! Years later, someone else edited it and they found a source they didn't discriminate against. I was referencing the guys own website for flips sake.
