  1. I don't remember the details about flak (I didn't actually work on that part). But I will comment here that one bug I found after release is that the damage counter can wrap back around to zero if you are flying high enough, allowing you to recover.
  2. That is what I thought, but unless I remember incorrectly, the book Space Battle: The Mattel Intellivision and the First Console War makes a claim that the 8K version is the more common one, which greatly surprised me.
  3. I always think of the Mattel shells as being brown. Dark brown, certainly, but I don't think of them as being black.
  4. I think if it was factory sealed the new sticker would be on the shrink (though I can't really tell from the picture). It also looks like there is some discoloration on the back under the shrink and maybe a puncture or something on the bottom flap, also under the shrink. The dent at the top on the back doesn't add any information as I have seen shrink wrapped copies more beat up than that (in the stock that Keith still had).
  5. So, do we think Ladybug, Turbo and Venture were written at Roklan? I know that Coleco was interviewing for Intellivision programmers, but don't think that anyone went there from Mattel. I don't remember the timing, either, but I think it was near the time Atari was interviewing. I have updated the credits on BlueSkyRangers.com
  6. Loco-Motion was from Konami, not Data East.
  7. Well, it was an arcade in the Hawthorne Mall, not a fast-food joint. It was certainly the first time either of us had seen Q*Bert. Don Daglow had apparently passed on a package of games from Gottlieb, which included Q*Bert.
  8. My only 610 box is Australian, with Lifestyle stickers on it, but it is likely the same box underneath. The cartridge would not seem to me to go with the G1 manual. I would expect a cartridge without a line to be quite early, so I would expect it to have original steering, while I think the G1 manual (which I do not have any of) might be using the revised steering. Have you played it to see?
  9. I recently received 12 copies of Thunder Soldier, along with 12 copies of Space Patrol, 3 of TNT Cowboy, 4 of Hover Bovver, and 5 of The Pandora Incident. They will be live in our eBay store in two minutes at 6:30 PM PST today. https://www.ebay.com/str/blueskyrangers
  10. I don't have any blank silver plates, just the ones with Intellivision on them. I also have some gold upper plates that are not in perfect shape.
  11. The silver top plate with Intellivision is still available at the eBay link above. I may have some blank silvers, but they are probably not as clean as the ones posted previously.
  12. Language does not have much to do with import costs. Puerto Rico is a territory of the United States (and people who are born there are US citizens), so there is no barrier for importing (technically, not really importing, any way)
  13. I sent a correction to the seller, with images of what the box SHOULD look like.
  14. I am pretty sure MATTEL ELECTRONICS PRESENTS was all in the Intellivoice, either separately or as a single string.
  15. Can we know whether or not offers were allowed? I am not sure we can find out if they were accepted.
  16. Although notice that the BurgerTime box is the same color
  17. But that picture does not say Lifestyle on it, it just talks about Mattel Electronics in the United States.
  18. Normally, the white sticker is Lifestyle Electronics for the Australian market on either a 0810 UK box or a 0410 international box (and there are variants in wording and font on those as well). The 0810 red Space Battle that Humblejack posted above is one of those. The Backgammon box has US text on it, which is different.
  19. Among the assorted paperwork and inventory I "inherited" from Keith, there are a bunch of unused cartridge labels. I have been reluctant to do much with them because the most intriguing item among them is a sheet that is half Spiker and half Stadium Mud Buggies labels, and I thought there was too much mischief that was possible with those. I recently commented on a thread that I might be able to supply an original Spiker label if an unlabelled cartridge in an eBay lot ended up being Spiker, but I would have to break up this sheet to do that. Then I got an offline request from someone else for a white Locomotion label and discovered that I did have some and decided it was time to process them all. I have a strip of eight blue Football labels, and then a bunch of white labels. The games with white labels are: Boxing Bump N Jump Championship Tennis Chip Shot Golf Learning Fun II Locomotion Motocross Pac-Man Pinball Pole Position Slam Dunk (two varieties) Slap Shot (two varieties) Super Pro Decathlon Super Pro Football (two varieties) Thin Ice Thunder Castle World Championship Baseball World Cup Soccer
  20. The main difference is that 1.1 contains the Windows-based emulator (which was a port from my Macintosh emulator done by Quicksilver Software, Inc) in addition to Carl Mueller's DOS emulator. I am not sure if there are other differences.
  21. And done..... https://www.ebay.com/itm/305091806638
